Why Linda & Jim Sanford chose Brookings
We accidently found Whaleshead Resort when we were beachcombing at Whaleshead Beach across the street. We saw some construction going on and decided to drive over and ask some questions. We fell in love with the place and started the rocky road of building our piece of paradise.
What makes this Cabin unique
Oh the view is beautiful and ever changing. Whaleshead Beach and the many trails will take your breath away. A spa just opened at the resort in Oct of 2016. Appt. can be made by phone at 541-671-8751. I (Linda) and my niece just had a massage and facial there in October. We both enjoyed not only the fantastic massage/facial, but the ambiance was lovely as well.

Cozy Cabin on the Coast
Our family went for Father's Day weekend and had a wonderful time! The cabin is wonderful and Brookings is always a fun time :)
Thank you so much for taking time to preview our property. Happy that you enjoyed it, come back sometime. Linda
Beautiful View with many Comforts
Nice living room, deck and clean hot tub. Very enjoyable stay.
Thank you Alex. Come back soon!
More than what I expected
We very very much enjoyed our stay at Linda's cabin. It was warm, homely, clean, with wonderful views. The location is perfect too with dozens of great hiking paths within a short driving distance. We highly recommend Linda's place and hope to be back soon.
Sorry for my late response...Somehow I didn't see your review. But we thank you for taking the time to give us a review. Good to hear you enjoyed your stay. It's hard to have a bad time on the Oregon Coast.....so breathtaking.
Beautiful view, comfortable cottage.
Spent 2 nights; wish it had been longer. Will return. Located in the middle of Boardman Scenic Area and easy, quick access to town. Clean and comfortable.
Thank you Steven for taking the time for your review. We are at the cabin now painting the exterior and the deck. We complain about the amount of time it takes to maintain a place near the ocean.....then we look up at view or take a walk on the seashore and it makes it all worth it. Hope you can make it back some day.
All the Best,
Awesome views, well-equipped and clean!
My husband, daughter and I have stayed in a lot of places on the Oregon coast but this was, by far, our favorite! Not only is it light, airy, and, literally, up in the trees, it also has an amazing view of the Pacific and surrounding green hillsides. It is very comfortably appointed and even has a hot tub for those cold, misty hours. We really enjoyed Whaleshead Beach, which is just a (steep) walk down the hill, and the restaurant that is on the resort property. We also took advantage of the Redwood forest trails to the south in both Oregon and California. These are a must-see! There are plenty of outdoor activities in this area and some delightful places to eat in town. We definitely hope to come back in the near future!
It was what I was looking for
Very nice home, removed from the noise of the highway yet ocean was still in view.
Great ocean view from the Living Room, Dining Room, and Hot Tub. Mountain & Forest View From Living Room and Deck.
Whaleshead Beach across Hwy 101 two minutes away.
World Reknown fishing in nearby Rogue River and the Chetco River.
The Majestic Redwoods are 30 minutes away and a must see!! ( a two hour drive is Prairie Creek State Park.....breathtaking.
Jetboat rides up the Rogue River are great fun and beautiful. They don't begin usually till after Memorial Day.
