This beautiful raised ground floor apartment in an original Regency building has been stylishly refurbished to a high standard. It is in a very prestigious street which is quiet but at the same time, seconds from the sea, restaurants and bars and shops.
It has a large, spacious living/dining room with a dining table and chairs for six people. There is LCD tv with Freeview, Dvd player, ipod docking station and internet Wifi connection. The quality leather sofa is also a comfortable sofabed which is in front of the attractive original fireplace. The separate self-contained kitchen has a dishwasher, washer/drier, oven, new ceramic hob, microwave, breakfast bar and a host of extras. The attractive stable door leads down steps into the garden. The bathroom has an over-bath tropical rain shower and is mosaic-tiled. The bedroom comfortably fits a king sized bed and has plenty of storage space. It has views to the very pretty west-facing garden with a pergola, table and chairs and many flowering plants.
Please be advised that Brighton is not a car-friendly city and you would be well-advised to come by train if you have the option.
Car parking is very scarce and expensive and the slightest transgression of the parking regulations results in a hefty fine.
The buses and taxis are plentiful on the other hand !
We had a wonderful week in the Clock Apartment. It was clean, spacious, beautifully furnished, and had everything we could need. We like to cook as well as take advantage of the great restaurants in Brighton and Hove and the kitchen was very well equipped. A great location being in Hove so a little quieter than the Brighton end, but near superb restaurants, pubs, and countless great coffee shops - plus small supermarkets less than a block away and Waitrose a walk away. What more could we want. And we loved the clocks! Highly recommended.
Having previously stayed in Brighton Marina this was a totally different experience and one we thoroughly enjoyed.
There are an abundance of shops, restaurants, bars and coffee shops in close proximity and the beach is only a short walk down the road.
We were extremely lucky during our 8 night stay to have excellent weather which allowed us to benefit from the lovely garden for sole use of the apartment.
The apartment itself is extremely well equipped with everything you need, it felt like a home from home.
It is stylish, clean, and tidy, perfect for a relaxing holiday.
Communication with Jane was very good, she was always available to answer queries and responded swiftly.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this apartment and look forward to returning in the future.

We had great time here in Brighton, we can walk to the sea in 2 min. The town centre is very easily to walk too as well, a lots of shops, cafes and restaurants near by. I am highly recommend it!

I spent ten delightful nights in this apartment. Everything was immaculate, fully equipped, with clear instructions on where to find things and how to use them! The location suited me perfectly, and the little front "garden" was especially welcoming. On a quiet street only one block from a vibrant main street offering an interesting array of restaurants, pubs, shops , good local bus and taxi services, and a very short walk to the seafront, it was perfect. The patio was a charming oasis on warm evenings. Jane, the owner, and Tina, her representative, could always be reached, if required. I would certainly return, and most certainly recommend this property highly.
Nice furniture, a mixture between antique and modern stile, beautiful cielings in a quiet street, quiet house. The appartment is just 1 minute walking from bus stop, cafés and supermarkets and in front of the door you can already see the sea.
The kitchen is very well equipped, there are books and games and the contact to the owner was very friendly.
We would have given 5 stars if the bathroom had been a little bit cleaner and had no carpet. But we would absolutely recommend this property to anybody.
This pefectly situated apartment enjoys the convenience of shops within 2 minutes walk. Some of the food shops are open 15 hours a day. Buses to the Churchill shopping square pass within 2 minutes walk and take 5 minutes to arrive. The marina, the lanes, Brighton Pier, the aquarium, Brighton Pavillion and many other attractions can be reached in 10 minutes walk. Brighton Conference Centre is also 5 minutes walk or a quick taxi ride. Brighton taxis are plentiful and well-priced and there is a taxi rank within 2 minutes walk.
One can see the sea from the front door and walk to the beach in 3 minutes but the flat is amazingly quiet.
Parking is restricted but there are pay and display bays just outside the door and on the seafront at the end of the street.
Possibility of purchasing permits from the owner for 8 pounds a day. NB These are in a limited supply - first come first served ! Or public carpark information can be supplied.
Other Activities: North Downs 5 miles away. Aquarium in Brighton. Close to Language schools.
