About Richard and Mary Glomski
We grew up and raised our family in nearby Sheboygan County. Richard has enjoyed Wilke Lake and it's activities for over 50 years. We were able to purchase this family property over 35 years ago. We have enjoyed spending time on the water, swimming, water skiing, and fishing) with our children and grandchildren. We currently are retired and live here year around.
Why Richard and Mary Glomski chose Kiel

Great quiet cabin on the lake
Perfect place for a long weekend to relax and unwind. Short drive to larger towns.
We stay in this area often and usually get a standard motel room. In this case the decision was a great one to stay at Grandpa's. Much nicer than any Elkhart Lake or Plymouth motel. Right on the lake, our dog was in heaven. Inside the cabin, my wife was in heaven. She thanked me!! We will definitely try to stay there again.
Such a relaxing place to stay!
Grandpa’s place on the lake was a wonderful place to relax and get away from everyday life. The cottage has everything you need. It’s comfortable and cozy. Kitchen is well stocked, just bring your food. We will definitely go back!
Cozy & Friendly
Very clean and quaint property. Perfect size for just the two of us. We were greeted by Richard & Mary upon our arrival - very nice people. Multiple times they told us to let them know if we needed anything. We had an issue with our boat motor during our stay and Richard kindly offered us a trolling motor as a bit of "insurance" in the event we were stranded on the lake. The patio area was nice to lounge on and view the lake. Our first night was a beautiful evening spent by the campfire watching the full moon rising over the trees and hovering over the lake.
The bed was very comfortable, making vacation much more relaxing! Everything you needed for cooking was available in the nicely stocked kitchen. There is an outside storage shed that had cushions for the chairs/loungers, some yard games and campfire utensils.
The lake is pretty weedy so swimming could be creepy (in my opinion) but Richard was out there just about daily, cleaning the weeds on the beach of their property. There is a boat dock for the rental area which was nice for us to keep our boat at for the entire stay.
Overall a very good experience (since no one can control mother nature and the rain!). Would definitely recommend this cozy, quaint place at the lake!
Thank You Very much for the great review, much appreciated

We stayed at the cottage for few nights with our family it was wonderful. The paddleboat was the highlight for us along with the bluegill fishing off of the dock. We will be back.
THanks for the great review, if we hear of any places in the area for sale we will let you know

Grandpa's Place was the best!
We loved our short stay and will be back. Cottage was super clean and comfy king bed. The paddleboat was really fun as was just sitting on the patio and looking at the lake. Nice smaller lake that was quiet and peaceful. So enjoyable!
