About the property

Hawk's Perch has a spectacular territorial view of the lovely Maxwelton Valley. This newly updated home has 4 bedrooms and 3 baths, an open concept living, dining and kitchen area, with large view windows, deck and lots of outside lawn and garden space. The furnishings and amenities are top quality with a flare for the artistic and craftsman style. Come relax and unwind - it is easy because you will feel right at home here! Play a game of ping-pong or watch a movie, read a book, or enjoy a fire in the fireplace. In good weather, the deck will be where you want to hang out with your family or friends. Enjoy our high-end telescope for star gazing. Maxwelton Beach is less than 3 miles away, where you can enjoy walks in the sand, grilling out in the park,or a game of baseball, ultimate frisbee, soccer, etc. Kayak rentals are available on the island should you be so inclined to explore the shoreline in nearby Useless Bay or Langley.

There are 2 bedrooms on the main floor, with two baths: one inside the master with queen bed. Two more bedrooms downstairs, with the bathroom inside the queen bedroom. The TV and ping pong table are downstairs, while the fireplace and beautiful views are found on the main floor in the open concept living space. Large windows and french doors to the deck, bring the beauty of the surrounding Maxwelton Valley indoors! Very private and quite home with spacious yard, garden space and a fire pit!

Shopping, eating, wine tasting, hiking, biking, parks, water fun etc. is all close by!

Shopping and dining opportunities can be found in nearby Langley, Freeland and even closer, at Kens Korner and Bayview shopping areas. At the center of the island and the oldest town in Washington State, Coupeville is another local treasure to enjoy. A great home base for fun locally, Whidbey Island is also in close enough proximity to Seattle, Port Townsend, Anacortes, and the San Juan Islands for an enjoyable day trip. For evening entertainment, we have a small town theater that runs current movies right in Langley, as well as various live theater options. From arts, farmers markets, music, and seasonal events such as winery, farm and art tours, to apple pressing, parades, welcoming the whales, etc. there is often many more activities happening around here than one can possibly partake in!

Come visit Whidbey Island and find the quiet beauty waiting here at Hawk's Perch when you are ready to lay your head down for the day.

Coming for a wedding or event? This is a great spot for family, friends or retreat attendants as we are close to several. We are less than 3 miles away from Fireseed (popular wedding venue), next door to Aldermarsh Retreat Center, and not even 1 mile from the Whidbey Institute.

One of the best places we have ever stayed

  • 5 of 5

Amazing views, full privacy, toys for all ages, ping pong table, fireplace, big glass windows with plenty of light, kitchen is full of utensils and spices. This is our first time staying at a place which is not a water front and we enjoyed to the fullest. We definitely recommend this place. We liked it so much that we will plan to come again.

Beautiful!

  • 5 of 5

The house was the perfect place for my friends and myself to relax and recover from running Ragnar Northwest Passage. The home is lovely and the grounds were terrific.

Great weekend getaway with kids

  • 5 of 5

The house is nice and specious to fit all of us: 6 adults and 4 kids. Lots of toys make it easy to keep kids occupied. We enjoyed the nearby beaches, the market and the local farm.

Beautiful home nestled in a beautiful green oasis.

We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Such a quiet and relaxing place and so close to the ferry. Gorgeous, and extremely well appointed kitchen and house throughout. We're planning amother weekend getaway to return in the Fall.
