The Ventnor House, a luxury five bedroom self-catering holiday home, is set on the cliff top overlooking Ventnor Haven, with spectacular, uninterrupted sea views. The house sits in a grand Victorian terrace of eight houses, originally built to house naval officers. It has five bedrooms, three of which have en-suite facilities. Sleeping up to ten people, plus two babies, it provides the perfect holiday home for a large family or two (or more) families to share the spacious living accommodation.

We've only just arrived and already we are amazed and satisfied by the widely spaced, yet cosy house we've been provided with. We cannot wait to spend the upcoming week in this beautiful house.
The view is absolutely astounding ad we love the modern style to the house. By all the little extra details, such as dvds and games consults etc, we can tell that a lot of thought has gone into it and we greatly appreciate that. Thank you very much, we are a very happy family to be here (written by Jxxx 15 years old)!
The house is totally fantastic, amazing views, very spacious as well as homely and cosy - it is perfect for a large family or two! It is so will equipped, you cannot fail be enjoy your stay in Ventnor House and wanting to go back again to enjoy all the Island has to offer. We were a family ranging in age from 1 to 83 and it suited us all perfectly. We will be going back next year.
We were a three generation, all adult family party needing four bedrooms and preferably four bathrooms and Ventnor House fitted the bill perfectly. Any worries about whether the house would be warm enough for a cold spell in March were soon forgotten. We found the house very warm, clean, well equipped and comfortable. It is in a very handy, but quiet position close to shops, beach, coast path and the many restaurants and cafes. Fogg's and the Beach Shack at the end of Steephill Cove were particular favourites. Would thoroughly recommend for family groups or groups of couples.
On arrival at the apartment I was totally blown away by the size of the place! It was so much bigger than the photos made out - perfect to accommodate a family of 8 adults and 3 children. The place was fitted with everything you needed (including a thoughtful hamper and provisions for our arrival). The larder had all the little things that make a short stay better (spices, herbs, oil etc) and there were plenty of places to eat around Ventnor. The views from the south side are indeed panoramic and stunning, set in a quiet area with the beach and shops near by.
We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to anyone.
We had a wonderful time. The house is even more enormous than it looks in the pics, meaning our large party didn't get on top of each other at all, despite some temporarily rotten weather meaning we had to stay inside a bit. Good facilities and attention to detail. Thoroughly enjoyed by all - from grandparents to one-year old!
Thoroughly recommend, and very much hope to stay again in the future.
the house exceeded all of our expectations. The view from the balcony made our week. the annual round the island race was fantastic 180 degree viewing what more could you want. Very child friendly and extremely well equipped for both children and adults. Would love to come again!!! Highly recommend!
A Victorian town with a Mediterranean feel, Ventnor is one of the sunniest spots on the Island. It enjoys a surprisingly mild climate due to sheltering cliffs and southerly aspect. Ventnor is one of the UK’s most fashionable seaside resorts, offering old-fashioned beach fun with an attractive esplanade, arcade, cafes and ice cream shops. The Esplanade has a part sand, part fine shingle beach, ideal for sandcastles, sunbathing and swimming.
The upper part of the town is devoted to the main shopping area where time seems to have stood still, with independent stores dominating your shopping experience.
There are plenty of places for a wonderful day out on the Isle of Wight. For young adventurers amongst you, Blackgang Chine and Robin Hill, provide some old fashioned adventure park fun. Perhaps a trip to one of the many working farms or a boat trip might be more for you. For the more mature tastes, there are wonderful coastal walks, pretty gardens and historic buildings to visit.
