Lovely Barn, quiet location

  • 4 of 5

The Barn was a little out of the way, but very nice. Really nice decor and a nice feel to the place. Word of warning, not much choice of takeaways in the area which we needed as the 2 weeks of of holiday had awful weather and it rained almost all day, everyday. The other downer was the internet, it's really bad basically unusable which was a bind as there were 6 of us all with tablets, smart phones and our PS4 and we couldn't watch Netflix, Amazon Prime, Sky Go or even Youtube as it's internet from the dark ages. If you want to use the Internet on your holiday, I would discount this place as having it as it's so poor. The Mobile phone coverage on T-Mobile was really bad too.

But, the Barn was lovely and the garden huge.

We had a nice time.

Lovely property in quiet location

  • 4 of 5

Cuckoo Barn is lovely and clean and well maintained.Very well equipped with more than adequate room and facilities for 6 of us. A big bonus is the 3 bathrooms.

Bath sheets would have been nice instead of regular towels and some drawers in master bedroom would have been welcome. We did find it strange having so much of the owners possessions around, however having said that I would definitely recommend Cuckoo Barn to friends. We ate at Victoria Hall at Holkam which was excellent. Lovely holiday, thank you!

A barn with wow factor!

  • 5 of 5

What a lovely place to stay. We were a family of four (children aged 2 and 5) staying for a week and could not fault Cuckoo Barn. One of the best equipped holiday houses we've ever stayed in (and we have stayed in quite a few!). There's plenty of parking, the setting is so peaceful and the garden is HUGE! The girls had a great time. And the bathrooms are lush (in fact they have inspired us to finally update our own!) A fab location for exploring North Norfolk, only a few miles from the beaches at Wells and Holkham and easy access to Walsingham, Blakeney, Holt and Burnham Market. Would highly recommend and hope to stay here again one day. Thank you.

Fantastic. Highly recommend this place.

  • 5 of 5

We are a family of 2 adults early 40s and 2 kids 7 and 5. We are missing this place! It has all the creature comforts, fitted with Royal Doulton bathrooms, good quality showers, Smeg, Dualit appliances and fab 5 burner cooker and a steamer! (I usually have to take my own). Fantastic conservatory with large 8seater table and fantastic 1/2 acre enclosed garden for sole use for kids to burn off that energy. Plenty of space to whack footballs and rugby balls. Great location too and fantastic cycling and running. Cannot recommend it highly enough and Sophie Bingham is very helpful when booking direct with owner. The only drawback for me, it has blinds throughout and if you like total darkness, bring your own black out blinds. I forgot mine. But this is a personal thing that we like complete darkness.

Beautiful and relaxing barn.

  • 5 of 5

Thank you Hayley, we had a wonderful week end at Cuckoo Barn, as you know we have been many times over the past few years, we always find everything very welcoming and extremely comfortable , you keep everything maintained to a very high standard, which is what we like.

Since our list visit you had added the beautiful conservatory, which has much improved the views over the garden and beyond and a relaxing space to entertain and chill out. There are many resturants and pubs serving wonderful food to visit which are all very near. We also love going to Holt for the small individulal shops and enjoy coffee and cakes. Holkum beach is a favorite for us to walk the dogs and take the children, the Fish and Chips in French's on Well's front is a must.

We would not hesitate to recommend this your Barn, and certainly will be returning later in the year.
