About Livia Kwong
I moved to Cayman 16 years ago with the intention of staying for 6 months. I fell in love with the sun, sand and sea so I decided to stay and make this island my home. I've been in hospitality for over 25 years and happy to have my own vacation rental to host guests from all over the world!
Livia Kwong purchased this Condo in 2017
Why Livia Kwong chose Seven Mile Beach
This complex was the first place I lived when I moved to Cayman back in 2002, it was beautiful then and still beautiful now. It was love at first sight and I told myself that one day I will purchase a unit when I was able to and I am happy I did!
What makes this Condo unique
I love how conveniently located the condo is. Just steps away from the pool and pool bar, steps away from the beach and steps away from a new resort and restaurants. The private patio and garden is great to unwind after a day in the sun.
I love pets, complex does not allow.
Minimum age of primary renter:25
- No loud music after 9pm - No Parties - Smoking allowed on the patio limited to cigarettes & cigars ONLY - No dirty feet or shoes/flipflops on sofas
- No kids eating on couches or bedrooms - No pets, I love pets but the complex do not allow pets
- I worked very hard for my home, please take good care of it as if it was your own - Check-In Time: 4pm/Check-Out Time: 11am
Cancelled bookings will not receive a refund.
Fantastic place for family vacay!
The condo had everything we needed for our family vacation, and then some. Lots of space, super clean, good location, and a very responsive and helpful owner. I would rent this same property again, for sure.
Great Grand Cayman
Great Location and cool place to stay
Just about the perfect place.
We had a lovely week with family, so four adults altogether. The place is large enough, clean, great location. Everything was clean and the kitchen was well-stocked with anything you'd want or need.
We did run low on toilet paper and had to have some brought in, and the TV in the smaller bedroom didn't work well--no box to bring in channels, but the other two TVs worked great.
It's nice to be able to use Margaritaville's facilities and the cove is perfect for learning to paddle board, though there were none on site, we had to rent from a local company.
Sunsets were easily watched from the cove or the pool, too. Walking on 7 Mile Beach is easily done and you can either go along the water's edge or head out on the road and cut down to the beach to avoid getting wet.
All in all, a super nice place and we would recommend it!
We will use this same VRBO unit again, thank you!
We rented this condo for our spring break. I wish I would've believed the "just ok" reviews, but there were so many good reviews to make me think it couldn't be that bad.
When we first entered the condo it had a MUSTY, dirty dishrag smell.
The smell was dirty cleaning rags under the kitchen sink along with a bin of cleaning supplies (duster, etc) and it smelled so bad!! I informed the owner and she said the condo is "deep cleaned" after each stay. I beg to differ.
The condo itself is WAY outdated. Stucco type walls and ceilings and the floor boards look awful. The tiles throughout have knicks and it just looks dirty. The kitchen has a big table, bar stools, china cabinet (don't know purpose of this...too much clutter) and a wine rack?! The appliances are old. Dishes are cheap, so are cabinets and some are crooked.
Dishwasher is missing tile underneath it and it dips out every time you pull out the tray. The rubber seal also kept coming out so I had to push it back in each time.
The master bedroom has a TV in the closet and its hard to see because of the closet doors on each side. The master bathroom toilet is so close to the tub and door that you have to shimmy by the toilet to get the door closed. The shower curtain is too long and gets wet on floor. The floor boards in bathroom are atrocious, just gross.
We set the thermostat at 60 and had all the ceiling fans going and the temp was still unequal throughout, and it was never cold.
The TV in the 2nd bedroom was on zoom screen and we couldn't fix it because it didn't have the correct remote. The owner did fix this problem. There was an electrical box behind 2nd bedroom and hummed all night.
The futon is 3 separate pieces and you have to push it together. The bedding doesn't fit it and it kept coming apart which was very uncomfortable. The owner said she slept on it to test it but I doubt she slept on it for 7 nights! The other couches in the living room had leather peeling off. Yuk!
We had 4 other friends staying at sunset cove and ALL of their condos were completely redone and smelled fresh. They all agreed that our condo had a smell and totally outdated. We think we overpaid for what we got.
The positives.... Loved the resort and beach. The condo did have beach chairs to use, the water pressure was awesome in shower and the owner was very responsive. We think it is overpriced....you can get a much nicer/newer condo with a view for same price!!
Thank you for your review and I'm sorry you feel the way you do about the condo. The condo is deep cleaned after each stay which is why I inform guests that they will see my cleaning crew if they check in early. I did not inform you of that when you checked in early because I had guests who checked out one day prior, so the condo was cleaned the day before you arrived.
The kitchen is equipped with stainless steel appliances and the kitchen counter is a peninsula with bar stools. The dining area is furnished with a dining table and dining chairs. There is a China cabinet with assorted glassware (wine, champagne, Port...) and also a wine rack that is located in the corner, against the wall and out of everyone's way, just like you would have seen in the photos before you decided to book. There are several photos on the site for you to review before you decide to book the property and I am surprised you still booked since there are photos of the China cabinet, wine rack, stainless steel appliances.... Etc. This is also a first that a review was made about the textured walls.
I am guessing that it was cold where you came from as you did mention the AC was not cold enough, the first day you arrived. This is the same day you messaged me about the TV and universal remote at 10:30pm. I sent my maintenance guy to check on the AC which there was no issue and it was nice and cold at 60 degrees. I checked on you to make sure you were comfortable which you replied that the temperature was comfortable, I would hope it would be at 60 degrees since there is a 25-30 degree difference between the temperature outside and in the condo. The electrical box was checked and no "humming" sound. I believe you may have mistaken that sound for the AC and fan when it was running.
There is no tub in the master bedroom's en suite bathroom, it is a shower only with a double curtain liner. Perhaps the liner was not on the shower side which is why the floor was wet. The wet floor could have been prevented if you would have checked the liner after getting into the shower.
The TV in the master room is visable if the sliding closet door is ALL the way open... I could go on to defend my condo however I do understand that I cannot please everyone. My rates are very reasonable for the location with several added amenities for convenience and comfort compared to other properties in the area. As a result, all of my other guests have been happy and several have become repeat guests.
Perfect condo co-located with Margaritaville.
Excellent condo that is co-located with Margaritaville. Beautiful protected swimming area and two beautiful pools!
Thank you for your booking and I'm glad you enjoyed your stay!
Property is a great location, clean and equiped with everything you need
We stayed at Livia's condo for 5 nights. The location is excellent. No trouble getting a chair at the beach or the pool. There is a great happy hour at the swim up bar (5'Oclock Somewhere) from 5 PM - 7 PM every night - drinks are 1/2 price during this time. You are in easy walking distance to restaurants. We walked further down seven mile beach and boy is it crowded in other areas, glad we chose Sunset cove. The condo is well equipped, spacious (especially when compared to a hotel room) and very clean. Thank you for a great stay!
Glad you enjoyed everything Tracy and I am looking forward to hosting you again on your next visit to Cayman :)
A rental car is not necessary however recommended if you plan on exploring the other side of the island which is recommended, since you've come all this way, why not go on an island tour! :) You may not need to rent a car for the entire duration of your stay however a day or two would be good enough.
Margaritaville Resort is a few steps away with new restaurants that just opened on property, local shops, restaurants, bars, large grocery store (with a Whole Foods concept) are all within a 5-10 minute walk. George Town is close and great to walk around during the day if you want a break from the beach. Camana Bay is also close and a great place to go for an evening stroll.
