This delightful detached 6 bedroom period Victorian Villa is situated in the famous yachting center of Cowes. Having a quiet secluded garden with hot tub but located only a few minutes walk from the High Street, Shops, Restaurants, Pubs, & Cowes Marinas. Green Bank is here for you to enjoy with large patio area, open lawn and spacious modern interior, your enjoyment at Green Bank is assured.

With sleeping for 12 we strongly recommend this house for families or a large group. Some rooms have sea views over Cowes breakwater and mainland beyond. All rooms are spacious and our triple downstairs bedroom with en-suite provides accommodation for people with limited mobility.

Easy access to local bus transport and located close to Red Funnel's passenger and car ferry terminals. Great location for walkers being on the Coastal path and Island cycle route. Nearby local historic attractions include Osborne House (Queen Victoria's residential palace) and Carisbrooke Castle (prison to Charles 1st).

Greenbank, an ideal house for a family holiday

Our week in Greenbank was very much helped by wonderful weather. Apart from that obvious bonus it was a perfect house for 12 of us. The hot tub in the garden was a lovely extra which everyone enjoyed each evening but especially loved by the 5 year old and teenagers. There was plenty of room for us all, the conservatory making a great place to eat and the great asset of plenty of showers and loos! The house has a really well equipped kitchen which we made full use of and large utility room which would be extra useful in less good weather.

Also very near the centre of Cowes for shops,restaurants and the seafront.

All in all a great place.

A lovely light and spacious property fully equipped ideal for large groups of family or friends

Wow...Green bank exceeded our expectations and was amazing value for money. The property is fully equipped with everything you could need and was spacious so even though there were 12 of us we didn't feel we were living on top of each other and could retreat to our own space since it had 3 reception rooms plus lovely little garden which included a hot tub ( at no extra charge ). Bedrooms were comfortable with enough ensuits/ bathrooms to cater for a large group like us. Shops and pebble beach a 5 min walk meant this was a lovely location and as the island is small it wasn't more than 1/2 hour trip to beaches / attractions. We really did have a fab time 😀

Beautiful, spacious house, full of character and lots of fun!

Fantastic house and lovely owners! From the moment we enquired about booking this house, the owners were so helpful, nothing was too much trouble and they were very flexible and accommodating. The whole process was very easy.

The house is so full of character and there is so much space! Even with 7 children in tow, our party of 13 had more than enough space to relax and enjoy our weekend away. Having so many bathrooms was also a massive benefit!!

The new conservatory is beautiful and we enjoyed having breakfast in there each morning with the sun pouring in.

The hot tub was a huge hit too with adults and children alike.

The location of the house is perfect for the ferry and a great base to explore the island. Cowes is within easy walking distance and the views are fabulous.

Overall we would highly recommend booking this property. The owners and Graham their agent are incredibly helpful and the house is the perfect place to stay for large groups of family or friends.

Thanks again!! Hopefully we can come back again soon!

Green Bank House, Isle of Wight

We had a very enjoyable stay at the property. The house was very spacious and well appointed. We were warm and cosy. We particularly enjoyed the hot tub, and the conservatory.

The house was well equipped in terms of kitchen items, with plenty of crockery and utensils. The only small drawback was that we couldn't find any information about rubbish, so were not sure when or where to put rubbish out for collection during the week.

Otherwise, a really nice house with very helpful owners and a local contact available for advice if needed.

Excellent!

What a wonderful week we had at Green Bank. Beautifully decorated for Christmas. Very warm cosy feel about the place. Fully equipped functional kitchen, comfortable beds, large dining area and relaxing lounge area. Down stairs ensuite bathroom was perfect as one of my friends has emphysema and couldn't manage the stairs. Overall an amazing place to stay. Would highly recommend it. Thank you to our hosts Ellen and Grant. Oh yes not to forget the hot tub - Fabulous!!

Notes:
We are continually decorating & upgrading the property to make our guests stay more enjoyable. We have recently upgraded the family and en-suite bathrooms and created greater ambiance with our new breakfast room/conservatory and dining room inc 12' wide doors to make the conservatory a feature of the house. A new replacement conservatory forynow installed for 2016. Our kitchen is large & well fitted with granite work surfaces & fitted units with 5 burner gas hob. Food preparation is made easy for large family cooking with comprehensive kitchen facilities & equipment. A large open plan breakfast area (seating for 6+) adjoins the kitchen separated by a large breakfast bar. This area leads through to the SW facing conservatory giving an open light & spacious downstairs area. Cooks therefore never need to feel cut off from the rest of the group! To further enhance your stay there is a large utility area 4.8m long comprising CH boiler, washing machines and tumble drier & large drying area
