Beautiful, spacious house, full of character and lots of fun!

  • 5 of 5

Fantastic house and lovely owners! From the moment we enquired about booking this house, the owners were so helpful, nothing was too much trouble and they were very flexible and accommodating. The whole process was very easy.

The house is so full of character and there is so much space! Even with 7 children in tow, our party of 13 had more than enough space to relax and enjoy our weekend away. Having so many bathrooms was also a massive benefit!!

The new conservatory is beautiful and we enjoyed having breakfast in there each morning with the sun pouring in.

The hot tub was a huge hit too with adults and children alike.

The location of the house is perfect for the ferry and a great base to explore the island. Cowes is within easy walking distance and the views are fabulous.

Overall we would highly recommend booking this property. The owners and Graham their agent are incredibly helpful and the house is the perfect place to stay for large groups of family or friends.

Thanks again!! Hopefully we can come back again soon!

Green Bank House, Isle of Wight

  • 5 of 5

We had a very enjoyable stay at the property. The house was very spacious and well appointed. We were warm and cosy. We particularly enjoyed the hot tub, and the conservatory.

The house was well equipped in terms of kitchen items, with plenty of crockery and utensils. The only small drawback was that we couldn't find any information about rubbish, so were not sure when or where to put rubbish out for collection during the week.

Otherwise, a really nice house with very helpful owners and a local contact available for advice if needed.

What a wonderful week we had at Green Bank. Beautifully decorated for Christmas. Very warm cosy feel about the place. Fully equipped functional kitchen, comfortable beds, large dining area and relaxing lounge area. Down stairs ensuite bathroom was perfect as one of my friends has emphysema and couldn't manage the stairs. Overall an amazing place to stay. Would highly recommend it. Thank you to our hosts Ellen and Grant. Oh yes not to forget the hot tub - Fabulous!!

Owner's Response: Thank you for your feed back which is very useful. I'm sorry the as Sani-flow was not working correctly due to a pump failure when you arrived but I believe this was remedied during your stay with a new unit being fitted. Our bedding plan is adjustable for certain bedrooms and the twin you mention can be converted to a king double. Sorry if there was miscommunication regarding your requirements. The house is continually being refurbished and this winter we have already fitted 2 new bathrooms with amtico type flooring, new power shower in ensuite and all new sanitary ware in both bathrooms (photos will shortly be put up on site on completion). In addition a new larger double glazed conservatory is also planned to be installed prior to Easter 2016. The downstairs shower room unfortunately was damaged by a previous guest which unfortunately resulted in damaged carpet and the smell you mention. This bathroom has now been dried out and is also due shortly to be refurbished with new Amtigo type flooring so the same can not happen again. Thank you for your overal score dispite the problems you had and I'm glad you would like to return.

We love the garden hot-tub!

  • 5 of 5

We had a fantastic at Greenbank at the end of March 2015.

We found the property to be beautifully maintained and very spacious. It was a lovely, warm, welcoming home and I would highly recommend this to anyone.

The location was very handy for town, the ferry terminal and the marina.

My family particularly loved the large hot-tub in the garden.
