What a wonderful week !! We are so relaxed and do not want to leave. The 'Boat house' is excellent - lovely in every way. We cant wait to return in the future.
I booked the cottage for a girls weekend to relax and do what girls do best, chat, shop and enjoy a couple of glasses of prosecco. The cottage was clean, cosy and very well equipped we didn't need for anything and Viking bay was literally minutes down the road. We did afternoon tea at Bleak house and enjoyed the fireworks on Viking bay finishing the evening with food and drink in the Charles Dickens pub. Great place for singles, couples and family's!
This property had everything needed for an enjoyable family holiday and was very well located being a short distance to the beach and a lovely ice cream parlour
A very clean & well equipped bungalow. Close to town centre with a handy corner shop 2 minutes away, also the promenade & beaches 5 mins away which we all enjoyed especially our dog. Will definitely return in the future.
We had a wonderful stay at the Beach House. It was clean, cosy and very comfortable for my family of four. We loved Broadstairs and the Beach House was an excellent base for our tour of southeast England.
A stroll around Broadstairs is a journey of discovery with a lovely surprise around every corner. Our most famous resident was Charles Dickens who wrote many of his classic novels here.Walk around the Thanet coastline to explore our beautiful beaches and bays, each with its own character. Broadstairs' main beach is the unspoilt Viking Bay, where you can still see much of Broadstairs' Victorian heritage. Viking bay has a small harbour with cafes and giftshops, with plenty of rockpools for crabbing and exploring. An old fashioned beach funfair and a traditional punch and judy show in the summertime. There are a mouth-watering number of restaurants, bistros, cafes and pubs to choose from. Broadstairs has a vibrant calendar of events ranging from the annual Dickens Festival (June), Water Gala (June) and Folk Week (Aug) to a great free summer entertainment programme. Easily accessible by car, coach, ferry and train from London St Pancras and Victoria Station.
