About Eric Arnold
This home has been in the family for one hundred fifteen years. Members of this family were the original pioneers who cleared the land in this neck of the woods. Much of the countryside remains the same with roots that date back to Revolutionary times.
Eric Arnold purchased this Farmhouse in 1898
Why Eric Arnold chose Bloomingdale
Four great grandchildren of the original builder maintain the property. When not rented, the home is a family retreat that invites all members of our extended family to come, share and enjoy the beauty and traditions of home.

Canadian Thanksgiving stay
This property location is perfect - close to everything needed to enjoy Adirondack. The owner communication is perfect. The WiFi saved us as the cellphone coverage is poor. You need to like country housing as the building is quite old. Our group really enjoyed it as we are not too fancy. Some flies annoyed a little bit but we managed. Views and space around the building are hard to repeat.
A magical location
Very special for me I was a camper and counselor at Hawkeye Trail Camps on Silver Lake. If you with bath and a half don’t be, our group had no problem. There is a marvelous lawn for games. My kids may want vary the experience next but if up we will be at farm.
Quaint Old Farmhouse
Modest but spacious, provided an excellent base for our group of friends (four couples and a dog) to explore the trails and waterways of the North Country. A good value, home style accommodation with attentive owners.
What a wonderful and relaxing mini-vacation!
We loved staying at the farm. We stayed during the fourth of July weekend with both my family and my wife's family and had a blast. The house was extremely clean and spacious. It had a great yard where the kids were able to play and a very nice fireplace where we spent multiple nights telling stories under the stars. The farm is also very well located, close to Lake Placid and only 10 min from the entrance of the Whiteface Veterans' Memorial Highway. Would definitely recommend the farm to anyone and everyone. We can't wait to go back!
Family Wedding stay
The house was very clean and plenty of room. Very easy check in and out. Arnold family was very nice!
nice property overall - a bit further from Lake Placid than I imagined but not a deal breaker r
