This stylish one double-bed apartment is in the heart of bustling Fitzrovia, part of London’s central West End theatre district. The LOCATION makes this apartment truly special. Ideally located within easy walking distance to all the major attractions - including Oxford Street and Covent Garden, theatre-land, cinemas, Soho bars and clubs and Chinatown.
The apartment is quiet, secure and private, set within a beautiful period building and with original features. A second floor walk-up (no elevator), it is fully equipped and furnished. The bedroom has a double bed, flat screen TV and fitted wardrobes. The living room has an L shaped sofa and dining area. The small, fully equipped kitchenette includes washing machine, hob, combination oven and large fridge-freezer. The bathroom has a tub with shower over.
Cable TV (Freeview), international landline calls and wireless broadband are all included free in the rental price.
The location is fantastic - right in the heart of the west end of London, with masses of both fine dining restaurants and local eateries right on your doorstep. The immediate neighbourhood is a vibrant and historic area, with a thriving pavement cafe culture mixed with art galleries, museums and useful local shops.
London's main theatre district, large department stores and many famous restaurants are all within easy walking distance.
Inside the apartment, the living room, bedroom and bathroom are each off a central hallway. The kitchenette is off the living room. The apartment is very quiet and private - it is not overlooked and you will not hear any traffic or other noise from the street.
A welcome pack is provided with soap, shower gel, coffee, tea, snacks, oil, vinegar, cleaning and clothes washing liquid. There are adapter plugs for overseas electrical equipment; a hair dryer is provided. The kitchen is fully equiped for cooking at home, including a coffee maker. Tea coffee, basic spices, oil, vinegar etc are provided. Towels and bed linen are provided and all this is included in the price.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week in Samantha's flat. She met us there upon arriving, and showed us around the neighborhood. Everything you need is very close by -- the Tesco supermarket is about 2 blocks away, and the Goodge Street tube stop is 2 blocks past Tesco. There are many restaurants and pubs within a block or two -- a couple of the pubs get a very lively after work crowd, but most of the other places are a bit more sedate [which we preferred]. Dining options range from cheap [but tasty] pizza to expensive, with many reasonably-priced options. It's easy to walk to some main sights -- we walked to and from Piccadilly, for example -- and we just hopped on the tube if we were in a hurry or going farther.
The flat itself met our needs just fine. It's in the back of the building, so is nice and quiet. It was very clean, with an updated kitchen and bathroom. We weren't there much each day, so a comfy bed was most important to us, and we slept great the whole time. The kitchen is tiny so don't expect to cook much. We mainly wanted coffee & cereal in the morning and a cold drink at night, so the kitchen was fine for us. I suspect many others will feel the same way!
A couple of points worth noting: my wife and I [both mid-50s] didn't find the couch to be very comfortable. This wasn't a big issue for us, as we spent little time in the living room and simply lounged in the comfy bed. The clothes washer also left a bit to be desired -- the washer itself was OK [though very small], but any of our clothes with cotton in them didn't dry all that well on the supplied drying rack. Not sure how to remedy that except to find a drop off laundry in the neighborhood -- surely there is one. We made out OK so didn't research that issue.
Overall we were very pleased, and would gladly stay here when we return to London. And we plan to do just that -- a week is only enough time to scratch the surface of this great city!
Our second stay at Samantha apartment and we really enjoyed it. It is a small bright modern apartment with all you need for a comfortable stay in London. Great central location, you can walk to Soho, the Theater district, Oxford St. the British Museum, etc. A Tube station is at the end of the street. Convenient supermarket, many restaurants and shops close by. Samantha is a helpful welcoming host. We hope to stay there again in the future.
There are are two floors of stairs with no lift which could be a difficulty if you are physically impaired; we are in our 80s and had no problem.
Samatha was great, met me at the unit and gave me the tour. Nice unit, very clean, good bed, and good space. In back of the building so it is quiet. Small kitchen, but very usable. I only used it once because this is a great location for food spots on the street. Different one every night. I would stay here again.
Overall, would highly recommend this apartment, as it offers tremendous value for the rate. The apartment itself is bright and clean. The bed is very comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with cutlery, cooking utensils (frying pans, etc) and plates, bowls, glasses, etc, which was great for making breakfast and heading out to do some sight-seeing. Samantha was prudent in responding to our emails before arrival, providing detailed instructions on how to get to the apartment from the airport, and for meeting us at the apartment on time. The location of the apartment is fantastic. 2 minute walk to the Goodge St. tube station and only a 10-15 minute walk to Piccadilly Circus and Trafalgar Square. There are good pubs and a grocery store just outside the apartment. Definitely book this flat if you're visiting London for sightseeing and are seeking great value for your money.
An ideal central London location, everything needed within a few blocks of the flat, and a short walk to the Tube. Samantha was very helpful and responsive to our needs. We would definitely stay here again.
My daughter and I stayed here for one week in July. The apartment is perfectly sized for two, very clean and very well supplied with all kitchen and bathroom essentials (and extras too). The spacious bedroom has lots of closet space, the bed is very comfortable and linen and towels are of a very good quality. The location is excellent; less than 5 minutes from Tottenham Court Road, and walking distance to practically anywhere in the West End. The owners were great to deal with; helpful, professional and prompt in (e-mail) answering any questions. We were also happy that Samantha allowed us to store our luggage in the apartment on our departure day as we had a late flight and she even helped us arrange for the transportation to the airport. Thank you!

This is a great area for couples of all ages seeking a city break or a central base to explore London. Whether you are looking for culture, clubbing or shopping, it''s all within easy walking distance, and yet the apartment is an oasis from the bustle of the streets. St Pancras station (for the Eurostar) is 4km/3miles away. Goodge St Underground station and buses are 2 mins walk. Proximity to three major Universities and a teaching hospital (UCH) also make this apartment ideal for visiting academics.,
