A 2 bedroom apartment within east access to the city by car, bus or ferry

The property stands in the Huntley's Cove an up market complex providing swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, tennis courts, gym, on site restaurant and wonderful harbour side walks. The city can be accessed by bus, car and ferry within 15 to 20 minutes. There are 14 restaurants within walking distance.

North facing, the apartment is light and airy and is ideal for harbour side living' particularly as the 2 bedrooms are at opposite ends of the apartment from one another.

What to do in Sydney: Sydney is one of the worlds greatest waterway cities with perhaps the most beautiful harbour one has ever seen. Any water activity can be found from on site swimming to sailing on the harbor or at sea, diving, snorkeling, and wind surfing (just 1 kilometer away). No visit to Sydney would be complete without visiting the Opera House and if you have the nerve climbing over Sydney harbour bridge where the views are truly magnificent. Another must is to take a Captain Cook harbour cruise where you will tour the harbour in comfort and learn the detailed history of Sydney and the first fleet arrival in 1788.

Of particular delight in Sydney is the gastronomic experience which in our view, offers the best food in the world. Darling Harbour is a good place to start delighting in the many sea food restaurants, but do not miss the world famous Doyles on the southern entrance to the harbor at Watson's bay.

Historic Sydney: Sydney's history goes back some 40,000 years with the most advanced human race in the world at the time. In 1788 Europeans landed and added to the rich history. There are many historic sites, including The Rocks, a must to visit, especially during the week end market session (near Circular Quay) and only a 15 minute ferry ride from the apartment. Visit Sydney's oldest house and the plentiful museums that share this history with you. Another must is the harbour side Botanical gardens.

Shopping in Sydney: Sydney has a wonderful array of shopping opportunities. A must is to visit the Queen Victoria building - a Victorian boutique shopping center built in Victorian times. Pop in to David Jones (Australia's answer to Harrods) and enjoy lunch at the Oyster Bar, particularly enjoying Sydney Rock Oysters (the best in the world). make a special visit to Darling Harbor and enjoy the delights these shops have to offer.

Why Robert Drew chose Hunters Hill

This apartment is modern having been built in 2002 an has a great layout in that each bedroom is at the opposite ends of the apartment. The on site facilities are wonderful including, swimming pool, jacuzzi, suana, gym, tennis courts and on site restaurant. At the same time the property borders Sydney Harbour providing a wonderful walk.

What makes this apartment unique

Perhaps the most unique benefit of this apartment is that one has all of the local on site facilites and yet it is only a 15 minute ride by either bus or ferry to the centre of the city.

The complex has, in addition to a large swimming pool, a Jacuzzi, gymnasium, tennis courts and library. The apartment is on the first floor of a 3 floor apartment block and there is a lift from all floors including the secured basement lock up garage area. A welcome pack is provided with sufficient groceries to cover the first day; a bottle of wine can also be found in the fridge to make your welcome more enjoyable. A housekeeper comes once a week to clean the apartment and change sheets.

Beautiful apartment, great location.

This is a beautiful apartment in an excellent location. Nice and private and just a short walk to nearby shops, restaurants and bar. The ferry landing is a ten minute walk from the apartment and the journey into Sydney is fantastic. There's also a bus stop a short distance away that will take you into the city fairly quickly (limited stops). Would definitely stay there again when we revisit this wonderful city.

Luxurious and spacious apartment in quiet location

This was a luxurious, spacious apartment in a high standard complex. It was so very quiet, close to bus stop and we loved the ferry ride from Huntley's Point to the city.

Excellent facilities in the apartment and very comfortable for our family of four.

It was wonderful to have a start-up kit of food .

Robert was very prompt with emails and provided lots of information, including travel from the airport to the apartment, facilities in the area and activities and attractions to do on our stay.

We have recommended this property to our relatives and friends.

Excellent apartment

This is a beautiful apartment, one of the nicest ones we have stayed in during our 50 years of renting holiday accommodations. The apartment is comfortable, well equipped, clean and it was lovely having Louise on hand for advice and any problems. The welcoming bottle of wine was great after the drive from the airport to the apartment. Robert replied to all our e-mails promptly.

We hired a car as we are in our late 70s and would have found it too much to walk into Gladesville and back for our shopping. However we went into Sydney by ferry which was great and we used the ferries frequently. We really appreciated the loan of the Opal cards which made travelling about very easy.

We did not use the pool so cannot comment.

We would thoroughly recommend this apartment which was more like renting a home than a vacation rental.

Excellent apartment

This is a very comfortable apartment in a good part of Sydney for exploring the sights.

On arrival you are met by Louise and shown around the apartment which is stocked with a comprehensive welcome pack.Although we had a hire car we preferred to use the ferry for trips into the city as driving in Sydney is quite a challenge.

Dealing with Robert is straightforward and emails are answered promptly.

I have no hesitation in recommending this property.

Great apartment in an ideal location

We stayed at Hunters Hill Apartment #458209 in the Northern suburbs of Sydney in July 2015. It was spotlessly clean and had all the facilities we could possibly need. Having no car it was just a 20 minute walk to the shops at Gladesville and a (pleasant) 10/15 minute walk through the park to the ferry. We used the ferry every day, it was very scenic with great views of the harbour and Sydney Opera House and the kids loved it. At the end of the day when we came back they either played tennis or used the pool, which was just at the end of the road 5 mins away. What more could you want? We found Robert very helpful and quick in answering our initial queries and Louise was lovely. We would not hesitate to recommend this apartment to anyone looking for good quality accommodation in an ideal location for enjoying Sydney. Would happily stay there again - it was fab.

Beautiful apartment, great location

The apartment was beautifully decorated, with every small detail thought about to make a really comfortable stay. We loved using the ferry to get into the city and it was so easy. It was also close to the supermarket, just a few minutes by car or bus. We were welcomed by Louise, who ensured we knew where everything was and the welcome groceries were gratefully received.

If we return to Sydney, we would have no hesitation in rebooking this apartment, it's lovely! Thank you, we had a fantastic time.

The apartment is very well situated for access to down town Sydney via car, bus or ferry. A bus ride will take approximately 15 minutes and a ferry to Darling Harbor or Circular Quay takes about 15 minutes. The ferry point is a short 10 minute walk from the apartment. Set in beautiful parkland, bordering the harbor water front, provides a relaxing and and tranquil place to stay with walks around this part of the harbor on your door step.

Other Activities: Canoeing, boating

Golf: Sydney has 120 golf courses some of which are open to visitors. We suggest you go on to the web site to search for that which most suits your needs.

Ski: Snow Skiing can be enjoyed between mid June to mid October subject to good snow in the Snowy Mountains, about a 4 hour drive away from Sydney.

All of Sydney's main attractions including the zoo, many beaches, harbour bridge, opera house, botanical gardens and city centre with the famous Queen Victoria Shopping centre are all a short distance away.
