Pueblo Esparragos Self Catering Apartment: This apartment part of a complex of self catering apartments built on a pine clad hillside overlooking the beach of Cala Llonga on the beautiful Island of Ibiza. The apartment is privately owned.
Within our village, called the Pueblo Esparragos, (The village of Wild Asparagus) there are 2 large pools, the Wild Asparagus Restaurant and the Bunch of Grapes pub. The pools have their own bars and both serve excellent snacks and lunches all day. There are free sun-beds around the pools for sunbathing and there is plenty of shade if you prefer. The restaurant and the pub both serve delicious evening meals to suit all tastes, and provide some entertainment.
There is a 5 minute walk into Cala Llonga.
Families: There is a 5 minute walk into Cala Llonga. This is a small friendly village, with shops and restaurants, a chemist and a doctors surgery and plenty of entertainment for adults and children. It takes a few more minutes of walking to reach the large, child friendly, sandy beach and the shallow waters of the sea. Please visit our link for more information on Cala LLonga.
The Pueblo is perfect for families, many of which many return year after year. Outside of the school holidays, it is very peaceful and quiet. All the staff have plenty of time to cater to you, there is the opportunity to quietly read a book or go for a walk or to calmly swim. It is also much cheaper to rent the apartment and we often have discounts on offer.
A bus or ferry ride away is our nearest town of St Eulalia, where there is always plenty going on. From here you can take a bus or ferry to anywhere on the Island. Also close by is an 18 and a 9 hole golf course where you can hire clubs and shoes.
We have lots of wonderful scenic walks or bike rides, snorkeling and scuba diving, horse riding, golf and nearby in St Eulalia there are plenty of water sports and boat chartering.
We stayed in a 3 bed apartment in May. The resort is very nice - the swimming pools are a good size and the staff very friendly. Our apartment was spacious, quiet and the views were lovely. The apartment itself was pretty basic but had everything we needed.
My only criticisms were that the apartment was not particularly clean when we arrived & the bed linen felt old & rather dirty (some of it was stained). However, my biggest criticism was that the mattresses were unbelievably old & lumpy - none of us slept particularly well. What a shame because everything else about the apartment, the location and Cala Llonga was great. I just felt the owners / managers need to give the apartment a little more TLC.
Would certainly return to Ibiza. A great family-friendly holidays.
The first thing that hits you when you walk in these apartments is the beautiful view and the second and the third thing......
The accommodation was clean, comfortable and equipped with everything we needed. The balcony was great for sitting and letting the world go by with the view of the sea and the pine covered surrounding hills. Care though with smaller children as the railings could be a bit closer and higher in some cases....The complex itself had an array of pools on different levels which our young daughters loved -there were also a couple of on-site bars with plenty of atmosphere and events going on even so early in the season.Everyone was cheerful and helpful. The walk to and from beach was pleaseant through neighbouring fields but some may find the stairs a challenge depending on what level you are on. Cala Llonga itself has a great beach and a number of shops and friendly restaurants offering something for everyone. Although you could definitely spend the whole of your holiday in and around the complex car hire was inexpensive so we got out and about on what is a pictureseque island with lots of hidden beaches and coves.
I would definitely recommend anyone who wants an escape at this time of year considering Ibiza and Pueblo Esparragos, just bear in mind the weather can be changeable in April, some places may not be open until May and there are a few stairs to navigate......
Been comming here for years and it seems like home from home. Very friendly and accomodating staff who will try and tend to every need. The food at Asparagus is second to none and the friendly atmosphere of The Bunch Of Grapes is terrific. The upper pool has a great team working there and always have a pleasant greeting with smiling faces and the children can feel safe walking around the site. Highly recommended for everyone who wishes to relax and soak up the sun.
My family and I have stayed on this superb holiday village many times. There are a number of privately owned apartments available for booking, through an on-site management agency known as PIMS.
All the apartments we have stayed in have been well equiped, clean and had fantastic town and sea views. The facilities on-site are superb, two swimming pools with poolside bars, a third bar with sun terrace and a fantastic family friendly top class restaurant called the Wild Asparagus. The alleyways with their colourful gardens, and window boxes, makes you feel like you are staying in a typical Spanish village, not just an apartment in a block. I would recommend this holiday village to anyone. Beware though, there are lots of steps to climb, so it may not be suitable for more senior citizens.
We have been coming here on and off for over 30years but still seem to keep coming back.
The complex is ideally located close to the village and beach of Cala Llonga but is also a perfect base to explore the fantastic north east beaches and coastal villages of Ibiza.
The complex has two great pools with free sun beds but a bit busy in July and August which adds to the fun. There is a first class restaurant, english style pub serving food in the evening and two pool bars serving food all day with one open till late,a shop and laundry.
The office of Pims were very helpful and could organise most things for us from changing money to making restaurant reservations.
However on some days and nights we often didn't venture off the complex.
There is a good selection of bars and restaurants in the village plus shops, doctors, pharmacy etc, etc.
The main town of Santa Eulalia is only a ten minute drive away with a vast selection of bars, restaurants ,banks and shops etc plus a great modern marina. The so called 'Restaurant Street' has some great restaurants.
Summer here is great but we also like to come here in winter to enjoy the fantastic walking in the hills and villages of this region of Ibiza. Getting a sun bed is also a bit easier but the complex and village like the rest of Ibiza is very quiet at this time which we also like.
We are back in June for another go.
These apartments are set on an Ibicencan pueblo called Esparragos, spanish for Asparagus, and are meticulously designed along the traditional design of authentic spanish properties. They are well constructed and very well furnished and decorated. the complex has an a la carte restaurant, two pool side bars which provide excellent daytime fresh food as well as The Bunch of Grapes, a more traditional pub style outlet which serves excellent food in the evenings. I have been visiting this complex for well over 20 years and would heartily recommend a holiday here to all my friends and family. Only a short walk to cala llonga village with all its lovely restaurants and bars and idyllic lagoon shaped beach. Enjoy.
Cala Llonga is located in a beautiful bay surrounded by rocky cliffs. The main attraction of the resort is its fine sandy beach which is very child friendly making Cala Llonga a popular destination for family holidays.
The beach is very wide, deep and sandy and is cleaned everyday during the busy times. The sea water is clear and kept clean. The community of Cala Llonga are proud of their ‘Blue Flag’ status and work hard to keep the beach up to standard. Fresh water showers are situated at the back of the beach.
The beach slopes very gently down into the sea and beyond creating safe and shallow swimming for children and non swimmers.
Under the pine trees, protected from the sun, is a popular play area for children with safe slides, sea-saws etc.
Cala Llonga has all the amenities expected of a self-sufficient resort, such as restaurants, bars, Internet cafés, supermarkets, a chemist, plenty of parking spaces and beach bars serving a range of Spanish and international food.
