The perfect country home.

  • 5 of 5

We have just concluded a month’s stay at Flemingstown House and I only wish we didn’t have to leave. We had a household full of children and grandchildren for the two middle weeks, sandwiched between two weeks with old friends. Different vibes with the different groups but each in its own way just right. The house couldn’t be more comfortable and attractive. The bedrooms are beautifully furnished and the large, eat-in kitchen is fully equipped. The only problem with the beds was no-one ever wanted to get up in the morning. The house is conveniently located for day trips to such sights as the Cliffs of Moher, the Rock of Cashel, Blarney, Adare, even places further afield. The kids were mesmerized by the cattle and the grownups charmed by the sight of them in the farm’s fields. The Ballyhoura mountains in the distance are lovely to look at particularly as the sun is going down in the evening. I’m saving the best for last: Imelda Sheedy King, our landlord, our hostess and, now, our friend is not only the most gracious woman in all Ireland she is also one of it’s finest chefs and we were lucky enough to be treated on occasion to a few of her creations, which were a welcome treat after our more pedestrian cooking. We are so glad we selected Flemingstown House, sight unseen for our holiday in Ireland.

Most Memorable of All Family Vacations

  • 5 of 5

Where do we begin to describe the amazing stay we had at Flemingstown House? The grounds are expansive and beautiful; we enjoyed how very peaceful it felt being there. The house was the perfect size for our large family - 10 adults altogether. The spacious, elegant bedrooms (each with a full impeccably kept bathroom) were furnished with very comfortable beds and bedding. The downstairs living space was perfect for a large group as we could spread out into the various well appointed sitting rooms and living room. We especially enjoyed the front sitting room and the large dining room, both having lovely views of the gorgeous property. The kitchen was spacious and comfortable for all us to have breakfast and lunch there. Not only were there plenty plenty of dishes, glasses, and flatware, but there also were all the appliances one could ever need. Although we didn’t use the impressive Aga stove except for making toast, next time we plan to really do some cooking. Behind the scenes at Flemingstown House is the amazing Imelda. She’s there to warmly welcome you on your arrival and offers up delicious goodies to all her guests. Imelda can be reached at any time to answer routine questions about the house or site seeing. All in all, we loved every day in Ireland staying at Flemingstown House and plan to return again in the next couple years.

Amazing property and amazing Irish hospitality!

  • 5 of 5

It was our privilege to stay at this magnificent property. It was everything you would want to experience in the Irish countryside. We were a group of nine and we had plenty of space. Each bedroom was pristinely decorated and was en suite. The best part of our stay was the homeowner, Imelda. What a wonderful hostess and lovely woman. Anything we wanted she would do her best to get for us. She did a baking demo of scones and provided the raspberry jam and cream. Our entire family enjoyed the experience and didn't want to leave the Flemingstown House. Thank you Imelda, truely irish hospitality at its finest.

This property is just as listed if not better!

  • 5 of 5

We approached the beginning of the long driveway to one of the most beautiful homes we have seen in Ireland! We were greeted by Imelda who was so friendly and welcoming. She showed us everything we needed to know before we began our stay. She was willing to accommodate anything we needed. The home is just beautiful! Every time we turned a corner, there was another beautifully decorated room. We had our 2 daughters along with our friends family of 5. The nine of us were more than comfortable with plenty of space for all. The

Bedrooms were spacious and all had private baths. The home was clean and the property equally as beautiful. We felt as if we lived in a beautiful estate in Ireland for a few days. One of the best experiences we ever had. We hope to return! Thank you to Imelda for making our stay special for our family! We think about the Flemingstown House all of time.

More than expected - Luxury, Charm, Warmth

  • 5 of 5

Our family of nine stayed at Flemingstown House for six days in September and the time we spent in this spacious and charming home was the highlight of our trip to Ireland. We particularly enjoyed cooking in the large farmhouse kitchen, eating in the dining room, and after eating, sitting around the wood stoves in the parlour and drawing room, chatting, reading and sometimes napping! The house is ideally located for day trips. We visited the Cliffs of Moher, the Rock of Cashel and Cobb, to name a few. For all that the house was marvellous, it was Imelda who made our stay memorable. Gracious, attentive, and entertaining, Imelda made every effort to ensure our stay at Flemingstown House was enjoyable. We would return in a heartbeat.

Fantastic home!

  • 5 of 5

Imelda's beautiful home was the location for our family reunion. A reunion that will go down as one of the best, most epic reunions ever!

The home is just as pictured, if not even more lovely than pictured. We were greeted by green grass and cows grazing in the field. As we approached the home, Imelda was right there for introductions; a delightful host showing us all the rooms of the home and giving us instructions on appliances etc. Every room is furnished exquisitely! The walls are so thick, we heard nothing from the rooms next door. Also every bedroom had its own bathroom and shower!

The kitchen was large and well equipped. Meal prep was made easy! The Aga oven was a favorite for all. We made the best roast we've ever eaten in the Aga! (You must see Joe at the local grocery store. He is the butcher and will set you up with the tastiest meats Ireland has to offer.)

Imelda takes great care in tending to all the details of her home. Every room is spotless! She makes running this large estate look easy~ a sign of a true professional! (she has won prestigious awards for her line of work)

Thank you for sharing your home with us! I do hope we meet again!
