This was the Yellowstone log home builder's office and showcase of the work they were capable of boasting the largest logs they had used at 16' diameter logs. There is a 3' diameter 'tree' in the center of the home that is awe inspiring.
Spectacular waterfront location across from the ski slopes that provides serenity and convenient location to all that Deep Creek offers while still maintaining a private setting. View the lake wildlife of ducks, swans and beavers in the water steps from the house.
4 bedrooms, 3 baths make this a cozy property but filled with all the entertainment you could stand with 8 video games, a shuffleboard, 2 xbox 360's, a 70' led tv in the family room, an 8' movie theater with stadium seating in the basement, hot tub on the deck overlooking the water and ski slopes, over 550+ movie collection and more. Private Dock access across the street on the navigable portion of the lake.
The close proximity to the airport. I flew in for lunch one day and fell in love with the area. True 4 season resort. There really isn't a season where you can not find enjoyment in Deep Creek. Winter and summer are obvious but spring and fall are beautiful. Leaves changing in the fall along with the festivals then Spring hiking and visiting water falls etc just make for an enjoyable trip anytime you come here.
Big Timber on the northern end of Deep Creek lake is unique in that it is close to everything you really want to do while visiting. Everything you need such as groceries, alcohol, bars, ski slopes, marinas, arcades, batting cages, coffee houses etc are mins from the house. The outdoor covered hot tub and arcade make for entertainment no matter what the weather conditions or time of day/night. I manage the maintenance of the property myself and feel I do a much better job because it's mine and I actually care. This is one property that shines above other rentals in that it's always kept up and maintained, after all, it's got to be good enough for ME to stay there and I'm a hotel snob.
Big Timber, there is no doubt about that.
My family & I had a thanksgiving vacation here & I must say this place did not lack anything.
Very well equipped with utensils, pots, pans & dish ware.
All the bedrooms were accommodating & comfortable.
The game room/ theatre room was out of this world.
Made me feel like a kid when I competed in road races & playing shuffleboard.
But the icing on the cake came when some of us sat down to watch football on a huge screen.
Though I had to contact the owner Rick a couple of times he was readily available.
Thanks so much for making our stay more pleasurable Rick.
You can bet if we are looking for a place in this area we will be sure to stay at Big Timber.
This is our second time staying at one of Rick's rentals and we couldn't be happier. We treat these extended weekends as relaxing getaways and the house IS our destination. Adults and kids were all entertained as much as we wanted to be. Great house - great location - great amenities - great owner!
Big Timber was an awesome house to stay in for the week! There were 10 of us, 6 adults and 4 kids, and there was plenty of room and tons to do for all ages. We loved at how private the property was. From the miniature golf, arcades and shuffle board in the basement, and the abundance amount of movies to watch at any time, the kids were always busy having fun!! The fire pit was a huge hit to sit around at night and make smores. Rick was available for answering questions and was easily accessible if we needed anything. Big Timber did not disappoint!! Fun was had by ALL!!!
Big Timber was the perfect home away from home. Everything for a perfect weekend with 3 teenage boys was all under one roof. This home is very tastefully decorated, very clean, and well maintained. So much to do right at the house from video games to board games, mini-golf outside, extensive library of movies, hot tub and kitchen well stocked with all the necessities. Rick was available for answering questions and promptly replied to our inquiries. We most certainly will be back for future visits.
Big Timber was a great way to spend a long adult weekend (5 friends). We got a little unlucky with the weather (couple days of rain), but we had so many amenities to keep us entertained we hardly noticed. Everything is well cared for and extremely well maintained. Also Rick was very responsive during the trip when we had a couple questions, which was very appreciated. Highly rated, and if we are ever back in Deep Creek this will be the first place we consider.
This little trip was just what we needed for some R&R and FUN! The house is amazing, has everything you could want, plus is conveniently located near many sights and activities. We enjoyed the fireplace, played mini golf in our own side yard, watched a few movies from the endless digital collection in the basement movie theater, and played arcade games! And, this was all just in the house!
Rick, the owner, was wonderful! He met us shortly after our arrival, briefly showed us around and made sure we could contact him if need be. Our reservation was made on such short notice and we greatly appreciated that he went out of his way to make it possible. This is a well loved and cared for home.
It was a privilege to share in this experience. Thank you Rick!
