About Mary Hoppe
This property was designed and built to become a retreat house. The Chattanooga area was and currently is lacking quality short term rental houses. We built this to fit our needs for visiting relatives and friends. We are offering vacant times on the calender to others.
Mary Hoppe purchased this House in 2009
Why Mary Hoppe chose Apison
This area is the fastest growing area of Tennessee. We are located in a remote area of the Chattanooga area. The town of Apison is a quiet and small farming community on the outskirts of the city. We are the alternative to the high prices, noise, and congestion found in the city.
What makes this House unique
Sit on the deck high above the tree tops or on the swing near the top of the hill and enjoy the views. Watch deer, fox, and other wildlife pass by throughout the day. Centrally located to all the Chattanooga attractions and Whitewater rafting/ tubing in the Ocoee area. Easily experience it all from one location.

house was great !!!!
The house was great for our family and our daughters graduation party. There was only two things we didn't like which was the parking and the outside around the house was all overgrown and not maintained, but other then that the house was clean and had everything we could possible need. Mary was great !!!!
Beautiful - Loud Trains
This house was perfect for our stay with one huge exception - the noise created by the trains. Not an issue during the day, but kept most of our family up almost every single night. They are VERY loud and come at multiple times during the night. Other than that - PERFECT! Lot of living space, comfortable beds, great kitchen for cooking - very nice.
A definite 5 star experience!
The house was spacious, comfortable and nicely furnished. We would definitely recommend this house to our friends and acquaintances. In fact, we already have.
Thank you for such a great review and for recommending us to others!!
Loved everything about this home!
First, I would like to say, the owners went above and beyond to work with me about my arrival plans. I was driving all night and arriving at a crazy time. They were wonderful!! The house itself was just perfect for us. Clean, very comfortable, just what we were looking for. My grandchildren were thrilled seeing all the deer that were around in the mornings, visable right from the deck.
Beds were all comfortable, everything u could possibly need was available in the kitchen, plenty of pots, pans, plates, glasses, food processor, cooking utensils. If u needed it, it was there.
Wish we had the time to enjoy the fire pit while there, maybe next time.
If I had to say anything negative, it would be, wish there was a gas grill outside, there is a charcoal one, but, I haven’t used one of those in years, haha
I would definately recommend this house!!!
I will be back in the area again, I will be staying here for sure.
We loved it, perfect!!!!
We were happy to help make your travel a bit easier and thank you for such a wonderful review!!!
The home was beautiful and very clean!
We brought our youth group for a conference in Cleveland and decided to rent a house instead of trying to book multiple hotel rooms. This home was perfect for our group of ten. I wish we could have spent more time in the house than we did. The home was beautiful and extremely clean! The overhead rainfall showers were a big hit with everyone. There was plenty of parking that allowed us to easily turn our 15 passenger van around. We are actually booked to stay there again in April and we are thrilled to be going back!
Thank you for such a wonderful review! We are so happy to hear that your group had a fantastic time and we look forward to hosting you again!!!
Nice Home, but Steep Long Driveway.
The home was very nice. I loved the bonus room, i.e. the conference room, it made unloading and loading much easier. We used the bonus room as a playroom for the younger children. The kitchen is very nice and well stocked with utensils. I did not like the constant train whistles during the night, or the very steep driveway. Overall, we had a very nice stay.
