Overview

Photos and Description of this 1 bedroom holiday apartment in Dublin - The Garden at Halfpenny Bridge

Modern, 1 bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, living room - sleeps 3; garden location

The apartment is located in a city centre garden courtyard right beside the famous Halfpenny Bridge. It is surrounded by vibrant streets, yet its secluded courtyard location give it a quiet ambiance. The garden is so calm it's hard to believe you are just 5 minutes from Dublin's liveliest area, Temple Bar. The busiest shopping street in Ireland - Henry Street - is just 4 minutes walk. The is a modern apartment with Axminister carpet or timber floors throughout. Kitchen is galley-style and ideal for picking up a quick meal during the day. There is a large fridge-freezer and a clothes washer-dryer. Living room has a colour TV, leather sofa-bed and leather armchair. In addition is there is dining table and chairs. There is a door out to the garden patio area. Bedroom has a double bed with bedside reading lamps and a large wardrobe.

Visitors love the location for its convenience. Visitor attractions are all easily reached on foot. Best of all is the modern cosy feel of the apartment with its surrounding floral and greenery. This is just a great apartment for the solo traveler, superb for couples and very comfortable for 3 adults.

Car not really required in this, most central, location. If needed we can provide parking in the underground car park which you can access by elevator at garden level.

Just what we needed, we had an excellent stay!

  • 5 of 5

Myself and my wife returned from the United Stated for a break at Easter time and stayed in this wonderful accommodation. The property is located very centrally and within walking distance of the main attractions Dublin city has to offer. The accommodation was very accurately described and the layout and facilities ideal for our requirements. The apartment was very clean and was maintained to a very high standard. The customer service was excellent and highly supportive. The Winding Stair Restaurant and the Woolen Mills are just around the corner where we had a wonderful Dinner overlooking the River Liffey and the Ha’Penny Bridge at night and a beautiful brunch observing life passing by at a relaxed and unhurried pace. The Lott (Bar) was just across the street and the Ha’Penny Inn across the river using the selfsame pedestrian bridge, both very friendly traditional pubs. We would have no hesitations in recommending this accommodation to family members or friends, we would highly recommend it!

Excellent Location, Nice Place

  • 3 of 5

We stayed 3 nights Aug.28 – 31, 2015 at the Garden Apartment. Excellent location, close to everything. Liam was good to deal with and helpful; easy check in and out. Nice courtyard and quiet. We often rent places with kitchens as we don't eat out much (strict diet). The kitchen was good, had the basics, served it’s purpose. Liked the flooring, the place is a bit dated, small old TV, with nothing to watch (we travel extensively usually have flat screens with lots of American programs). We usually relax and watch a bit of TV in the evening after an exciting, long day. Nice to have a clothes washer, which we didn't use as it was the start of our trip. From: Canada

EXCELLENT RAPPORT/QUALITE PRIX AU COEUR DE DUBLIN

  • 5 of 5

Great location, average apartment

  • 3 of 5

My husband and I had the opportunity to stay for 4 nights. The location is excellent and within walking distance of many city attractions including Temple Bar, Christ Church Cathedral and Dublin Castle. The garden area is beautiful and welcoming. The apartment itself is tired and dated. The kitchen area is very small, but at the end of the day it has everything you need.

Owner's Response: Nice comments, thanks. Indeed our location is the best in Dublin and the garden is a great spot to relax. I know Americans love big kitchens but in Dublin City center, particularly in 1 bedroom apartments, kitchens tend to be compact. Most of our guests tend to want to eat out and use the kitchen for snacks. Liam

Great Tme in Dublin

  • 5 of 5

My son and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Dublin. Great apartment, great location, fantastic neighborhood! Couldn’t be better. The owner was very helpful with timely correspondence and great recommendations once in Dublin. The apartment was clean, well equipped, and amazingly quiet for City Center. Everything was convenient, buses, restaurants, and supermarkets. You can walk to all the sights and great to have such a nice place to return to at the end of the day. Look forward to returning and would definitely recommend.

No Better Location!

  • 5 of 5

I feel I'll only repeat others, but here goes... Other places claim City Centre, but you can't get more centrally located than this. Excellent for pedestrians. Everything is within a few blocks: bars, Lots of food, Halfpenny bridge(the main pedestrian river crossing point), History south of the Liffey, the Luas Tram system, Even a multi-level shopping mall w/groceries hidden behind an old-world facade. It is at the center of the Dublin pedestrian world.

The apartment is great, & Liam couldn't have been more helpful & prompt with replies to inquiries. The area is quiet & quite secure. On the inside it is a lovely apartment house courtyard, from the outside it looks like a row of separate buildings/townhouses. Our contact (William) was extremely knowledgeable & helpful with the details of the apartment (& he's cute too).

Overall, we couldn't have had a better time/place in Dublin. We're coming back in October & this is the only place we want to stay. Thanks to both Liam & William!
