This romantic bungalow hideaway is nestled in the middle of the top historic neighborhood in downtown Mesa. The neighborhood is famous for its large trees and green belts. It was rated the 'Best Old House Neighborhood 2011: the Southwest' by This Old House, online. Spending time here is like traveling back to simplier times. It is like living in Mayberry. You will see couples strolling the neighborhood with their babies and their dogs. Neighbors enjoy wine on their front porches and say hello to passerbys.

Dan and Jeory have been married for 38 years and have raised three children and are currently enjoying their four grandchildren.
This estate found us and we fell immediately in love with it. The main house is over 100 years old and the entire estate has been updated by the previous architect-owner so that it is the favorite destination on the historic house tour each year in Mesa.
The property has incredible personality and charm. It is located in the center of downtown Mesa in a friendly quiet neighborhood.
We stayed for a week as an off-site visit while we were visiting a crowded house of family in Mesa. It was so much nicer than a hotel. It felt like a charming home. Super super clean! Light and bright. It was really a lovely find. We enjoyed using the kitchen to cook our breakfast before we took off for the family outings each day. It really was a gem. The only thing I would maybe plan better for next time, is the room is very bright, and even with the blinds closed it is extremely bright in the morning. The outside noises (birds who are lovely but think that 5 a.m. is an appropriate time for a concert, and trash companies who evidently thought this street was a perfect starting place several times in the week.) If you are a sensitive morning sleeper, bring an eye mask and ear plugs. If you sleep through anything, then you will not find anything better. We were delighted with our stay. Our hosts were very pleasant and non-intrusive. It was really great.
We really enjoyed this property. Great location as it is in a quiet location in a nice neighborhood. Very clean. Everything is provided that you need like coffee maker, microwave, full kitchen. Nice to have parking for our rental right down below where we stayed. Very easy in and out. Within walking distance to downtown and restaurants.
My wife and I just spent 7 nights at Jori's and it was everything we hoped for. Jori and Dan were great hosts and the Bungalo was clean and comfortable with everything we needed. Two thumbs up from us and we hope to get back there next winter. Thanks Jori and Dan!!!
Our very first "Snowbirds Getaway" in sunny Arizona was very enjoyable; a welcome escape from winter in the Midwest! Jori and Dan have equipped their bungalow with all the comforts of home, were gracious hosts, and provided essential paper/soap products throughout studio (very thoughtful). We especially enjoyed the intimate deck for meals and relaxing. Coffee shops with fresh baked scones are within easy walking distance!
What an awesome place to stay - clean, comfortable, and convenient. And the weather was perfect too! I would definitely stay there again.
I almost don't won't to share how wonderful this place is. I'm worried I won't be able to book it once word spreads. All of the reviews are 100% accurate. Beautiful studio with great amenities, wonderful location in heart of a thriving and funky downtown and beyond exceptional hosts.
We had our two month old son with us for a first road trip. The studio was perfect, we were able to cook, grill, do laundry, bathe the baby and enjoy walking the lovely neighborhood.
Jori went above and beyond to accommodate me. She even texted me prior to booking, as there was some email glitch with my payment invoice, and inquired if I still wanted to book as there was another interested party. I was so grateful. Not to mention offering a late check out and we left a swaddle blanket behind that she mailed back to me.
The bed was incredibly comfortable, the ac perfect, dish tv, some beer in the fridge when we arrived at 2am (no problem at all with late arrival). Our little baby slept nearly ten hours straight through our third night there This tired mama almost cried with relief. Now you know that's a comfortable stay.
Try the local eats too. Urban Picnic had a great lunch, Lofi cafe has killer bagels.
