Beautiful two bedroom condo, at the Keauhou Akahi, Master Bedroom suite and private bathroom, cleverly converted 2nd bedroom to allow for extra space. Best location with easy access, very few step to the entry and shaded parking. The extra bedroom has a fold out sofa bed and the area is great for gatherings, entertaining guests and converts easily with the queen sized sofa sleeper. The main living room area is open and perfect for relaxing, listening to the music, watching TV or planning your next day of snorkeling, hiking, dining and enjoying paradise. Separate dining room and central bar has a large counter area. Lanai dining features a gas BBQ grill.

* 2nd bedroom area is fully intact (minus the separation wall) and away from the main living area, this bedroom and sleeping area has a ceiling fan and large garden view window, can be used as a sitting area.

* Ceiling fans are above each bed and create a gentle and cool breeze for restful and comfortable sleep.

* Easy access from the parking area with very few steps. This condo is a slightly larger end unit. Fewer steps than other second floor condos with a staggered elevation. Close and conveniently located for easy arrival and departure!!

* Just a short walk to shaded parking and to the pool. Best parking in the entire complex. Your car won't be sizzling hot from being in the sun.

* Gorgeous views, fantastic location and wonderfully designed. Solid construction of the buildings eliminates noise and creates a quite and peaceful home.

* This condo easily sleeps 4+. Boogie boards, snorkeling equipment, beach gear, its all here and ready for you. Newly Renovated with many upgrades and recently remodeled.

Why Stan and Trinh chose Kailua-Kona

Located in the Keauhou Akahi complex, at mile marker 61/2, on Alii drive, south of Kailua-Kona and a short walk to Keauhou Bay. This condo has orientation, elevation and location, many frequent visitors and guests have told us its the best location in the entire complex. Safely located on the second level with very few steps! The elevation allows for the Mauka and Makai winds to cool the property. Parking is close, convenient and well shaded. We have been remodeling and renovating our home at the Akahi with many upgrades including ceiling fans above each sleeping area making the place very comfortable and cool, allowing for restful sleep. Watch for whales during the winter months from our beautiful lanai while enjoying cocktails or meals.

A short 15-20 minute walk will put you on the viewing deck of the Keauhou Sheraton Resort, famed for its Manta Ray viewing. They also have a great Farmers Market and Luau weekly.

Walk down the hill to the Keauhou Bay small boat harbor; its the departure point for the smaller vessels chartered for Dolphin Watch, Deep Sea fishing, Scuba Diving, Sea Quest tours, Fairwinds II and other chartered boating adventures.

This quaint harbor is home to the famed Kona Kayak and Canoe Club where avid Kayak adventurists meet every morning. Within a 20 minute walk you could be standing at the Keauhou Place of Refuge, or the Hawaiian Sacred Grounds.

Within a few miles, or short bicycle ride, you're at Kahaluu Beach Park, considered one of the best and safest snorkel beaches in the entire Hawaiian Island Chain. Also known as "Turtle Beach", and just beyond the coral reef this public beach extends to areas famous for boogie boarding, surfing and stand-up paddle boarding.

What makes this condo unique

Our property is located in one of the most desirable area's of Kailua-Kona. All within short distances to restaurants, shops, historic landmarks, scenic overlooks, golf, world class scuba, healthcare and urgent care facilities, grocery stores and a cine-plex movie theater but away from the more populated tourist areas. Our condominium complex is in a smaller, more intimate and quieter setting with 48 units and 78+ parking spots. The property management is on-site and takes immaculate care of the grounds and pool area. Most guests are frequent visitors and are like family. You will be welcomed with "Akahai" and warm Aloha spirit.

Communication with Stan was excellent and he called me even before we arrived and sent us precise instructions. House was exactly as described. Kitchen utensils were sufficient for us even to cook. Very friendly neighbors. One night we ran into a small plumbing emergency and local property manager Tom immediately responded and arranged a plumber first thing next morning. A short distance to beach. Overall we were very satisfied with the stay.

Clean, well-equipped,comfortable.

As many people have mentioned, Stan is very through, prompt and reliable as a vacation rental owner. He also gave us extra information such as the nearest grocery shop. His condo manager showed up with a brand new rice cooker and a sponge! We really appreciated all the beach gears including parasols and snorkeling stuff. The bed was comfortable, and fans did a good job to keep the place cool at night. It was a perfect size for two adults and one child. Neighbors were quiet.

Don’t be surprised at a natural alarm clock...birds sing loudly there!

Wonderful stay.

Great view of the ocean and palm trees. Great location. Easy access to downtown via shuttle. Easy walk to the shopping center. Many nice birds. The manager keeps the place clean.

Very nice location. Immediately as you walk in you have a beautiful ocean view! Condo is clean and has most everything you need for your stay. Nice cross breezes. Complex is shady and full of flowers and birds. Stan is great to work with; always very prompt to reply. I like the location as it's just 6 miles south of Kona so you are away from the tourist traffic in town yet close enough to drive to town. Shopping very close and one of the best snorkel beaches is 1 and a half mi,es down the road.

Great place

Stan's place was perfect for our family. The children enjoyed the pool and we enjoyed the big lanai with BBQ, the place was perfect to explore the island. Also Stan was very helpful and always answered quickly.

Amazing place to stay with family

We arrived at the condo late at night. In the morning my wife and I awoke to the shouts of my 10 year old daughter screaming "OMG, look at the view outside". My family of 4 loved this condo as we stayed here 8 nights. It is fully furnished and allowed us to cook a few dinner meals. It was spacious and offered a lot of practical and usable amenities. Small items such as a cooler, snorkel gear, and boogie boards were the real difference maker for us as it allowed us to enjoy our trip without worrying about too much. Stan offered great customer service by promptly replying to all my questions. The property is located in a quiet location a few minutes from a snorkeling area and another small sandy beach and only 10 minutes away from the main town. I would strongly recommend this unit to any family looking to stay in Kona.

The Big Island is different from other Hawaiian Islands.

All of the Islands are beautiful but the Big Island is.... BIG and beautiful! You won't feel like your on an island. Our place is the "Lani Moku Hale", translated: (Heavenly Island House) just above Keauhou Bay. Its the perfect year round destination for quality time spent in paradise. If you love the ocean and enjoy snorkeling as much as we do, you'll be able to swim with dolphins, sea turtles or night dive with giant manta rays.

Don't forget to spend time at one of the many Farmer's Markets to experience the fresh tropical fruits, local gourmet baked goods, artisans and local culture. Of course, just about anywhere you go for seafood is awesome. The cultural diversity of the Islands brings together a blend of Polynesian, Asian, Tahitian, Portuguese, Spanish and other Western influences.
