About this property

Charming, all year round lakeside cottage in the village of Sajzy near Elk, North East Poland.

This lovely wooden house is the perfect base to explore the stunning region of Masuria, or if you just want to relax and light the BBQ and enjoy the peace and tranquilty it's also excellent.

There are games and toys for the kids and you can light the wood burning stove on any chilly days, but the house has radiators too.
It can get hot during Polish summers, so take advantage of the air conditioning units we fitted in 2020. They can also act as heaters.
The large private garden has a sandpit, BBQ, fire pit and picnic table.

The lake is right on your doorstep for refreshing swims or why not take the boat available for free and really explore.

The house sleeps 6 adults in beds that can be doubles or twins on request, there is also a camp bed which is downstairs, as well as a cot, the stairs have stairgates at the top and bottom, so the house is ideal for those with families.

Warsaw to Elk is a 2 to 3 hour drive depending on which airport and traffic.

Urlaub in den Masuren

Der Urlaub in den Masuren, in dem Ferienhaus war wirklich super. Es war alles zu unserer vollen Zufriedenheit. Wir können das Haus nur weiter empfehlen. Sarah ist eine tolle Gastgeberin. Jederzeit gern wieder.

Super

sehr ruhige Lage mit Seezugang und Ruderboot, toll ausgestattetes Haus mit allem was man sich im Urlaub wünscht (leider kein deutsches Fernsehen), Elk mit wunderschöner Promenade zum Flanieren und Fahrradfahren (Auszeichnung der Fahrradwege sehr verbesserungswürdig),

Unser Kurzurlaub in wunderschöner Natur

Wir erlebten wunderschöne Tage in den Masuren. Das Haus ist sehr gemütlich und für die Abende haben wir den Ofen sehr geschätzt. Auch die Ausstattung des Hauses war sehr gut und mit 5 Erwachsenen hatten wir genügend Platz und Entfaltungsmöglichkeiten. Der Grillplatz und die Außenanlagen sind sehr gut geeignet. Höhepunkt waren die Bootsfahrten mit dem hauseigenen Boot am gegenüberliegenden See mit Tierbeobachtungen aus nächster Nähe. Wir können das Haus sehr weiter empfehlen und bedanken uns für den netten Kontakt mit dem Vermieter-Ehepaar.

Ruhig und sehr schön gelegen

Sehr schönes, umfangreich und sehr liebevoll ausgestattetes Haus. Die Kommunikation (englisch) mit Sarah funktionierte super-ein von außen verursachtes Problem wurde sofort angegangen! Da es die ersten Tage sehr heiß war, war die Klimaanlage sehr nützlich. Den Fernseher (SAT-TV kaum deutsch) haben wir nicht gebraucht und das Boot wurde oft genutzt. Holz für den Grill -Ofen haben wir nicht gebraucht- war genügend vorhanden. Ungünstig ist der sehr hohe Zutritt/ Einstieg des Haupteinganges und auch der Einstieg der ansonsten mit viel „Spielereien“ ausgestatteten Dusche. Darum nur 4 Sterne. Wir können dieses Haus nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen.

My husband and I fell in love with the village of Sajzy the moment we cycled through it and decided to build our little wooden house there. It took 3 years altogether to finish it and we hope you love the results. A house that fits in with it's surroundings and a place to relax and enjoy the forest and the lake.
