About the property

S Exp. Waterfront Home w/ Large Pool, Spa, & Outstanding Outdoor Entertainment

1133 Bond Court looks like it should be on the cover of “Marco Island Vacation Home Magazine.” This super stylish, multi-level, four-bedroom home has spared no expense when it comes to creating a modern, comfortable, luxurious and upscale vacation home on the water. High vaulted ceilings in the living room give the space an open and spacious feel, and the recessed lighting and soft color palette, combined with the comfortable sofa, love seat and two armchairs make this room a spot that everyone will want to relax in. The back wall made up of sliding glass doors offers beautiful views of the water, and a contemporary fireplace and wet bar adds a little something extra to the room and makes it a great space for entertaining. The living room transitions smoothly into the fully furnished kitchen, a gourmet space with custom cabinets finished with frosted glass panels, sleek counters, a center island, stainless steel appliances and elegant light fixtures. The cool backsplash along the walls adds a trendy and “beachy” feel to the room and the window over the large sink lets in plenty of light and provides a great view. The formal dining room is complete with a large, wooden, rectangular table and seating for eight, and overlooks the private balcony. Outside, the second story balcony overlooks the private pool and provides unobstructed views of the waterway and private dock. The dock is equipped with a 12,000 lb. boat lift and 3,000 lb. davit for a jet ski, so you can bring your water toys and take advantage of the quick and easy access to the Gulf. Take the spiral staircase down from the second level and you will be poolside. The 15x32 heated pool is definitely a highlight of this home and has an in-ground spa. Multiple loungers around the pool provide extra seating for those who want to get some sun, and since the home faces southwest it gets maximum sun exposure all day long. A covered lanai creates a VIP style entertaining space with three distinct parts: A full bar complete with plumbing, electricity and comfortable bar stools, a dining area with a high-end patio table and seating for six, and a plush seating area with wicker living room style furniture for ultimate poolside comfort. Contemporary ceiling fans keep the outdoor areas cool, and a flat screen TV upgrades the space from your typical patio to a five-star entertainment spot. All of the poolside fun may make you tired, which is when you can head to one of the four, second-story bedrooms for some rest and relaxation. The first bedroom has an elevated King size bed, private access to the balcony, wood floors, and plenty of side table storage to keep your belongings organized. The private master bathroom has a large vanity area, double sinks and a breathtaking Roman Shower inspired shower with floor to ceiling glass doors and marble accents. A second bedroom features a bunk bed with a twin size bed on top and full-size bed on the bottom. This room also has private access out to the second story balcony overlooking the pool. The third bedroom has a Queen size bed with an impressive closet and extra storage space and a large window overlooking the property. The final bedroom has a peaceful, beach inspired blue and white color scheme that radiates a calming vibe. With a large dresser and personal closet space, this spacious bedroom is set apart from the other rooms for guaranteed peace and quiet. This gorgeous home on Marco Island defines what it means to live in paradise, and offers families an ultra-modern and comfortable place to recharge their batteries. This beach inspired home offers the comforts of home combined with the luxuries of a private beach resort and is everything the modern family needs for a luxurious waterfront vacation.

Marco Island is awesome!

  • 4 of 5

This is a fantastic house for kids! My kids loved the house and pool and the ability to fish off of the dock. The house was clean and set up nicely. It should be noted if you are not aware, that boat trailers are not permitted on the island. There is a marina in Goodland which is about 5 miles away to store your boat trailer if needed.

Overall, I would stay here again. The only negative was the very grumpy bitter neighbor that did not enjoy the laughter and excitement of the kids so much. Apparently he is too old to remember what it was like to be an excited child on vacation.

Great place to meet up with the family!

  • 5 of 5

This rental provided all of the space we needed for a family vacation. We enjoyed the extra's that came with the house like beach chairs, outdoor grill and bikes. The kitchen provided us with the basic utensils need to prepare family dinners and the washer & dryer was a god send with a toddler and newborn in the house.

Very nice space but needs better maintenance.

  • 2 of 5

There are some very nice features about this house, but not enough to bring us back when considering the negative aspects.

First, the 3 different living spaces are very nice, as well as the pool, hot tub and outside space. The 6 wonderful bikes and helmets in the garage were a nice surprise. Kitchen and bathrooms were updated and the bedrooms are decorated nicely.

On the down side, The Master bath had very little pressure in the shower and 1 of the 2 master sinks had a problem in the pipe which caused it to leak all over the floor. In the 2nd upstairs bath, 1 of the 2 sinks drained so slowly that the small sink would overflow easily so we stopped using it. That shower curtain rod did not fit the wall properly so it fell on us a number of times. We eventually just left it down and quit using that shower. The property managers were great about responding to emails but not with following through on the repairs. IT was determined that a plumber was needed but one never arrived. For 8 ladies in the house, we had limited showers and sinks that functioned. The 3rd small, full bath is in the basement, through which is the only way to access the pool, but no bedroom is down there. The other aspect of the house, that is not obvious in the pictures, is the multi-level of steps. The house is a split level as you enter, and steps down into the family room in 2 areas and then another small flight to get to the bedrooms. One of our ladies had bad knees and used a cane. This was very difficult for her.

The house has potential as a nicely updated, older home, and if the maintenance was better, I'd give it a higher rating.

Owner's Response: Hello, We are truly sorry the inconveniences you had endured during your stay. We had sent our handyman over to the home as soon as we were aware of the issues discussed. Upon inspection, he determined that we would need to schedule a plumber to fix the drains and shower pressure, since he suspected that parts would need to have been ordered. Unfortunately, the parts were not in stock witch prolonged the process of fixing the issue during the extent of your stay. Since the reservation all plumbing issues have been fixed and have replaced the shower curtain rod as well. Sincerely, Island Escapes

Great house for large family.

  • 4 of 5

Our family stayed here for the week of Christmas. This house had plenty of room for all 8 (adults) of us. There were several hangout areas — two in the home and a couple in the screened in lanai area. We never felt like we were on top of each other, but when we did want to be together, the areas were big enough to accommodate all of us—even at the dining room table.

One of the best features of this house was it’s southern exposure. Because of this, we were able to lounge in the sun from the back of the home all day — whether in pool, around pool, or out on the dock.

Some negatives are on account that the house, though nicely decorated and clean,is showing its age. This was evident with the dishwasher which didn’t clean dishes too well, sliders which didn’t open too smoothly and other wear and tear you would expect on a 30year old home in Florida.

Additionaly, I think this house is just recently being used as a rental. We had to purchase our own rafts for the pool and some actual beach towels. The beach towels provided were more the size of standard bath towels. My family ranges in height from 6ft to 6ft 11” — and those towels just weren’t going to cut it. We left these items at the house for other renters to use/enjoy.

The only other negative was with the bunk beds in the one room. My adult daughters commented that they were “rickety” and could feel the structure move whenever the other tossed or turned. These beds probably would have been fine for smaller children, just not for larger adults.

Finally, Island Escapes (Jackie?) was great to work with. Even though it was the holidays, she answered my calls and helped resolve a few issues we had with the hot tub (temp had been locked at 90) and trash (previous renters had not put trash out on Thursday and subsequently we arrived to trash and recycling bins that were overflowing), and grilling utensil were filthy out by bbq. It would have been nice to not have to deal with these issues at all upon our arrival, but Island Escapes answered my calls on Christmas Eve and resolved issues in an acceptable manner.

All in all, we loved this house (sun exposure and space) and Island Escapes (promptly dealt with minor issues on holiday)
