3 Bedroom villa with garden, private pool and lovely sea views in Marbella

Situated in a cul-de-sac in the upmarket urbanization of El Rosario, our villa has beautiful surroundings, stunning sea and mountain views, tropical gardens, and a large private pool. The house has a modern interior, combined with the exterior of a finca. Within walking distance, there is a tennis/paddle club, many restaurants, a good sized supermarket, coffee shops etc. Only 5 min drive away you will find 4 golf courses and Marbella town itself. Malaga Airport is a half an hour drive away.

The villa is on a small incline over two floors. Entrance floor you have 2 double bedrooms, kitchen, living dining area, a lounge room, and two bathrooms. There is also a wood burning fireplace. Outside there is a huge balcony with great sea views, and an open dining area. On the garden level, there is a large covered patio with a dining area and a coal fired BBQ. There is a self contained double bedroom (accessible through own door at garden level only) with it´s own bathroom. Off this bedroom is another decked terrace, a sitting area and of course the garden and the pool.

The area: The urbanization is very residential, upmarket and quiet. As it lies on an elevation, there are wonderful views. The beach is not far away and could be walked to in about 20 minutes or 5 minutes by car. The beach is recognized to be the best beach in Marbella. There is a famous tennis club, four restaurants, a bar, two coffee shops, a supermarket and a car rental...this all within the urbanisation! If you walk across the bridge towards the beach, you come to another trendy bar/restaurant, and of course the beach is littered with lovely Chirringuitos serving anything from salad to the best grilled seafood. For night life, Niki beach is close, as well as Bono's beach. Of course Marbella town and Puerto Banus are close as well...depends what kind of holiday you are looking to have.

Pool and Garden: The pool is absolutely private and is 5 x 8m. There is a large coal BBQ for larger parties. The patio is furnished with a table with seating for 8 persons. Our garden, 1 floor below contains another patio with 6 chairs. There is a lovely tropical garden with lots of palm trees.

Towels and linen are included in the property.

Why do we love this place?: We love it because we are in town within a short five minute drive. Shopping can be done at the supermarket in the urbanisation (which has everything). But if you want to drive to the mall (with 400 shops), then that is also only a few minutes away by car. Of course the beach is one of the best benefits. In lots of places in Marbella you have pebbles or even a rocky beach. Not here. This is the best stretch of sandy beach, probably why Antonio Banderas bought his house here on the beach!

Why Ash chose Urbanización el Rosario

Because it is peaceful, offers lovely views and at the same time is close to everything! Also it is a great neighbourhood, full of families and it is very international. On our little street alone (5 houses) there are families from 5 nationalities!

We had a great time in this house last week.


The first floor is composed of 2 bedrooms, 1 kitchen, 2 bathrooms, and a large living room. This last one is particularly pleasant, with a beautiful view both on the sea and the mountain. It opens onto a balcony where you can eat while enjoying the view.

The villa also has an independent bedroom on the ground floor with facilities, but we did not need to use it.

The garden has a swimming pool and beautiful trees (palm trees, etc.), but also several living areas: a large terrace where you can eat on a large table, a lounge where you can exchange with friends while enjoying the view, etc ...

We also found that the house was well placed and convenient: it is located in a group of houses and it is nice to go for walks in the surrounding roads ; the nearest beaches are accessible in minutes with beach restaurants, and Marbella is also quickly accessible. You have also a small supermarket at the entrance of the area, with everything you need, including fresh bread.

The exchanges with the owner are exclusively on the Internet, which was a bit surprising at first because he is at distance, but he answers very quickly to all questions or solicitations: we had no issues with this. And he gives much guidance and advice.

In short, we had a great time, and we are glad to recommend it.

Very nice holiday

We had a lovely holiday in Marbella!

De view is stunnig and a beautiful sandy beach nearby. The villa was very well equiped, everything in working order en clean. We loved the quiet neighbourhood! Only disadvantage was the pool. At this time of year, the water was to cold to swim and the kids were a bit sad. We solved it by visiting the beach more often. The owner was very friendly en helpful, always quick to answer email.

When you visit, we would recommand a car if you bring kids. Dinner in Don Quichote, the restaurant situated in the Urbanisation El Rosario was delicious! The local supermarkt is well stocked and Momma’s Bakery made us very happy with their baked goods.

Wonderful holiday relaxing away from it all

We stayed here for a week with our 2 children aged 9 and 6 and it was our first villa holiday and we will not be looking back.

The Villa was perfectly located for a relaxing break on a quiet urbanisation and was easily located following detailed directions provided by the owners. The supermarket just off the urbanisation is well stocked with everything you need and if they don't have it there is another store stocking pool floats along with many other household items and toys.

The Villa itself is extremely spacious, we would often find each of us in a different part of the villa, doing something different as we would do at home. Knowing that our children were safe within both the house and the grounds enabled us to truly relax as we could lock the door to the grounds and we were fully enclosed.

We all stayed on the first floor using the room at pool level for toilet/shower during the day which saved going through the main house wet. I cooked on a couple of occasions and there was everything we needed and more. We ate outside on the upper terrace which was wonderful as had great views, great idea swapping the furniture around as the sofa/chairs under the terrace were great to escape from the sun.

The pool is surprisingly deep and wonderful to relax around as you aren't overlooked and our children enjoyed playing on the lawns.

I would recommend getting a car as walking down to the shops is one thing but walking back up, especially in the summer heat would be a struggle. It also makes getting out and about easier as we went into Marbella and Puerto Banus a few times and spent the day at South Beach which we recommend as a day bed was 50 euros with a bottle of water and a bottle of cava and the food was great. We also went to Masala Indian which is a little up the A7 towards Malaga.

On our last day I emailed the owners to notify them of the tv issue and of an issue I spotted that required maintenance and they promptly emailed back advising me they would have sorted the tv if they had of known (we're not big tv watchers and ventured out) and thanked me for notifying them of the other problem so they could sort it for other guests.

Great villa near Marbella

We had a great 2 week stay, the villa is very well kept and in a private secure area only 10 min drive from Marbella. It is only a 15 min walk down to a local supermarket, bakery and a couple of restaurants for those days you just stay at home. Otherwise, it is within easy distance from all the major sites in and around Marbella. We had hire cars which helped us get around. Ash is very helpful at all times if there is anything at all and it was great that the price included cleaning once per week. A great stay.

Gorgeous villa- private pool

The house is very private and beautiful, and the neighborhood is lovely. We had a great time staying there. Ash was very helpful and responded immediately to any questions we had. It is a bit far to walk to the beach and city center if you have young children, so a car is recommended if you want to go explore Marbella.

Property needs up dating.

We stayed in the Villa for three weeks. It was hell, the villa next door was having major building works carried out from 8 am to 7pm. There were also new villas being built 200 metres away, No fridge for five days, no fire extinguisher or fire blanket. leaking toilets, only one with a door, outside eating area a mess, Rat boxes within 2 metres of the pool, garden area had pallets and rubbish bag just left. Ash the owner was contactable by email. I think the Villa is extremely tired and would not recommend it.

Owner's Response: As I explained to this traveler, the neighbour's property had suffered from a partial landslide a few days before their arrival, and unfortunately the remedial works affected their holiday. I explained that this was not within my control and that I could neither foresee nor stop the neighbours from carrying out their essential repairs. What WAS in my power was anything that was brought to my attention and I addressed each and every one of them as quickly as possible. Everytime I was contacted, I replied within minutes, and tried my best to accomodate any request. The fridge door developed a problem on a Saturday, and I ordered a brand new fridge which was delivered a few days later (there is just no next day delivery in the south of Spain as far as full-size fridges go I am afraid, and certainly not on Sundays). I think the existing fridge was still usable as long as the door was handled with care in the meantime? Not sure where all the other grievances are coming from...certainly was never told about them. I understand the frustration has probably built up and boiled over from the emergency building works carried out by the neighbours, but still a bit naughty to characterize the villa in such a way. The villa was updated in January 2017 and every photo of the interior and exterior of the villa is EXACTLY as it is. Apologies for not having a fire blanket...definitely an essential item, and it will go on my shopping list.

The beach is renowned as the best beach in Marbella. You can walk to the beach in 20 minutes, or less than 5 minutes by car. The beach is sandy, with a variety of beach restaurants. Lounges and umbrellas can be rented on the beach. If you walk another 5 minutes, you get to Bono's beach, with has the comfortable double four poster lounges, as well as a great bar/restaurant. There is a famous tennis club, four restaurants, a bar, two coffee shops, a supermarket and a car rental...this all within the urbanization! If you walk across the bridge towards the beach, you come to another trendy bar/restaurant, and of course the beach is littered with lovely Chirringuitos serving anything from salad to the best grilled seafood. For night life, Niki beach is close, as well as Bono's beach. Of course Marbella town and Puerto Banus are close as well...depends what kind of holiday you are looking to have.

Golf: Golf on the Costa del Sol needs no introduction. With over 40 golf courses, there is no shortage of them! From PGA championship courses such as Valderrama to beginner courses, there is something for everyone. Our villa is situated right next to the Marbella Club Golf course and the Santa Clara Golf resort. Five minutes drive away to the west is the Rio Real Golf course, and five minutes to the east the Cabopino Golf course.
