This traditional house lies amidst wonderfully peaceful countryside, just a short walk from the charming village of Buger, the smallest Municipality on the island and one of the most attractive.
Villa Esperanza can accommodate six people, it has an intimate atmosphere, without being at all cramped for space. Recently renovated by English owner, the interior is comfortably furnished with a new bright and airy colour scheme and discreet feel for traditional island style. Each of the pretty bedrooms has access to their own bathroom and feature beamed ceilings and tranquil views; one of the ground floor bedroom opens on to a pleasant terrace – perfect for morning coffee or tea. The property has a good-sized garden, while a tempting pool occupies a terrace just beside the house. Búger is only one KM away, just right for a leisurely evening stroll to discover the pleasures of a quiet evening meal or aperitif in the village.
Almost every Friday night the village bars and restaurants make a point of serving traditional Mallorcan dishes, many of them featuring locally-raised pork or lamb. Búger is a relatively undiscovered and still a very traditional village. Subtly renovated houses, superb gardens and windmills underline just how peaceful it is, a successful and idyllic marriage of old and new ways of life. However when the urge for something livelier is too strong to resist, Pollensa is just a 10 minute drive away.
The property has abundant character and is set over two levels. On the ground floor level a wonderful open plan lounge and dining area, with table and chairs to comfortably seat six people. There is a wood burning stove to provide ample warmth and a cosy ambience here.
The kitchen is furnished in a traditional ‘country’ style and is fully equipped. Modern appliances are installed including, oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave oven, fridge/freezer and washing machine.
There is one spacious and light bedroom on this level, equipped with twin beds and an en-suite shower room.
Walk up the feature staircase from the main living area and you access a lovely and cosy mezzanine TV lounge and study, overlooking the main dining area. This is equipped with comfy chairs, large TV, DVD, Satellite TV with some English channels available, stereo music system and WiFi.
The master bedroom is situated on this level also. It has a large double bed and has a private en-suite shower facility. This room also has access to the larger family bathroom.
All bedrooms are air conditioned, there is a timer system and the air conditioning can be provided between 22.00 and 06.00 . If it is requred outside of the hours then an additional cahrge can be paid locally to increase the hours.
Outside, the villa boasts large, pretty gardens and a very inviting private pool. Ideal for cooling down in the mid-day sun, or that early morning dip! The swimming pool is heated with an eco friendly solar heating system which raises the pool temperature by a few degrees which can extend the swim by several weeks at each end of the season. There are plentiful terraced areas, equipped with a BBQ and seating and tables that provide a lovely alternative for dining ‘Al Fresco’. New furniture has been provided for 2014 with sunbeds, days beds and comfortable outside sofas. There is an outside shower and private, gated, off-road parking.
This house is very much a comfortable home and an ideal location for those wanting to exploring the island and looking for a lovely quiet serene location.
Such a beautiful villa. The villa is located in a very quiet private area surrounded by lovely gardens and pool area. Very clean and well equipped throughout. Lots of seating areas for relaxing and dining. Overall a wonderful place that we would love to return to.
The travel directions provided were concise and easy to follow and within 45 minutes or so of leaving the airport we were approaching the turnoff for Buger, albeit a couple of hours too early to get access to the property, so we continued along the road into Alcudia for lunch and returned later.
Buger is a small town with a lovely feel about it, and Villa Son Siona sits on the outskirts - a peaceful property in beautiful grounds, with two beautiful en-suite double bedrooms and a spacious twin room, all with air conditioning to provide much needed relief at night
Everything about the villa has been carefully thought out, including the television in the upstairs lounge area with access to British TV channels which is most useful for entertaining children during periods of downtime from poolside activities and Wifi too!
Downstairs there is a sizeable and extremely comfortable lounge diner with a small library of books and games, tastefully decorated, complete with an overhead fan which cools the room in the heat of the day.
The kitchen is clean and well equipped, everything you need is on hand and Supermarkets Lidl and Aldi are about ten minutes drive away in nearby Inca.
The gorgeous garden has a fabulous swimming pool which offers much needed relief from the heat of the day and ample entertainment for all.

Buger is Mallorca’s smallest community. Buger, with around 900 inhabitants, is located between Campanet and Sa Pobla in the north of Mallorca. There is a bakery, a bank, a tobacco shop, 2 bars and a shop with colonial goods. In all the shops you will find working friendly, helpful and child-friendly people, who make one feel comfortable being a guest. The supermarket in Sa Pobla offers a huge variety of products. In the summer, one of the most renowned Jazz Festivals Spains takes place here in Sa Pobla. In a short drive you reach Pollenca and the untouched dream-beaches of Playa de Muro, or the unique bird reserve ‘Albufera’. From the finca, you have a breathtaking view over the mountain panorama of the Tramuntana Mountains. The further surroundings invite you to 'spice trekking' or mountain biking. This is a finca for friends, a tasteful, individual and authentic accommodation on the island.
