|Minimum Stay||3 nights|
Located in 'Montmartre', in the very heart of Paris, by the 'Place des Abesses', legendary neighbourhood of 'Amélie Poulain'', artists, musicians, painters...
Studio all equipped, and renovated, in a beautiful ancient building. Ideally located for visiting Paris. At a few path of metros (Abesses, Blanche, Pigalle), and buses. At 5 minutes walk from Moulin Rouge, Sacré Coeur, and the 'Place des Abesses', its ''Cafés', terraces and restaurants. Particularly quiet place, in this typically French and full of life neighbourhood.
From that place, you will be able to visit anything you planned to see in Paris, and like all parisians, come back home for a while, have a rest and go out again in the evening for a walk, a drink, or dinner in Montmartre, climb up and down the famous stairs, listenning to an accordeon somewhere round a corner, the romantic and nostalgic songs of Paris, and have your 'Midnight in Paris'
We had a great week in Caroline's studio. The location is perfect- just around the corner from brilliant cafes and also a metro. We were able to visit all of Paris and easily get back. While you are close to many activities, it is also on a quiet street. We found a place to do laundry just 2 minutes walking down the road. The kitchen allowed us to have breakfast at home before going out for the day. We had room to relax, sleep, and store our things. It was a great place and a great week- Caroline is a thoughtful and attentive owner. I would recommend this place to anyone.
The apartment had ample room for the 3 of us to stay and was so close to everything we wanted to do. (Great restaurants, cafe's, bakeries ) Plus it was so close to the metro system which we used extensively to explore the city.
Caroline was great and very accommodating. We would stay here again.
We were very pleased with this flat in central Montmartre. Museums and gardens were within easy reach on the Metro, and there were supermarkets and speciality shops less than ten minutes walk away near either Pigalle or Abbesses metro stations. The flat itself was small, but elegantly furnished and a perfect haven after the heat and crowds of the major tourist sites. Wifi was a particular bonus. We had no problems finding the flat coming from Gare du Nord, and Caroline (always welcoming and helpful in her emails) was there to meet us when we arrived. A really lovely three days in Paris! Lynette
This was our first visit to France and Paris and didn't know what to expect. We couldn't have been more pleased. The flat was perfect for our 9 day stay. Caroline was always most helpful, from first contact, to quickly responding to and answering our questions; and greeting us on our arrival.
Montmartre is a fabulous location. Right next door is the Creperie, a great place for excellent crepes and salads. A short distance away we were introduced by a stranger to le Bistrot et Vin, which became our daily stop for a coffee or glass of wine. We made friends with several and hope to go back to see them again. 2 blocks away are many shops, restaurants and outdoor cafes. The subway stop is also about 2 blocks away.
We hope to return to Paris and Montmartre soon.
This was our 2nd stay at Carolines apartment and we have already booked the 3rd and planning the 4th! We visit Paris 1-2 times a year and have always used hotels until we stayed here. This area is really the best place in Paris if you want to live,drink and eat with the locals.
EVERYTHING is within walking distance and you have 2 metros on your doorstep so can be anywhere in Paris within minutes. Moulin Rouge, Sacre Cour, Amilie film shots, Monmatre museum, Artists square, Restaurants,and delis of ALL nationalities, wine stores, fresh bakers, cheese, roast chicken shops... ALL on your doorstep yet the apartment is tucked away in a discreet side street so very quiet and security gate so very safe.
We wouldn't stay anywhere else Montmartre has its own vibe going on, you never feel like a visitor here, its what we call 'real Paris' we only left 19hrs ago and missing it already.
We highly recommend Carolines apartment and her as a host.
Very famous, and appreciated place by the tourists of the whole world, Montmartre represents the authentic Parisian life. Many attractions and places to visit very close to the apartment : the Sacré Coeur, the 'Place du Tertre' with its painters, le Moulin Rouge, Pigalle. At a few minutes walking or by bus from the ' Grands Magasins', the Opera, the 'Grands Boulevards', their theatres and cabarets. Montmartre is the ideal place for discovering Paris, its attractions, and to enjoy the parisian life style.
