About Owner / Property Manager

We have visited Cape May for the last 12 years with our 2 boys. We started out at the camp grounds, then rented a house and most recently stayed in hotels on Beach Avenue. Each year we talked about how wonderful it would be to have a little piece of Cape May to call our own. This is a second home for us, not an investment property. We enjoy Cape May and love what every season brings. We have decided to make our home available to others so that you too, can enjoy all that Cape May has to offer.

Owner / Property Manager purchased this house in 2012

Why Owner / Property Manager chose Cape May

This house is tastefully decorated with all of the comforts of home. There are an abundance of windows making this a bright and sunny home. Our 3 season Solarium allows you to enjoy the outdoors with complete privacy (compliments of the surrounding bamboo). Enjoy your morning coffee/tea while you enjoy a book/newspaper in a wicker rocking chair. There is no better way to start your day.

What makes this house unique

We have beach tags available for our guests to use. The shed is available for our guests to store bikes, beach gear and/or surf boards.

Various paper products are available for your convenience (toilet paper, tissues & paper towels).

The Kitchen is stocked with various panry items (spices, condiments, saran wrap, foil, baggies etc.) - we just ask that items depleted are replaced.

A fitness center and Health/Beauty Spa are within a block.

A great vacation

  • 4 of 5

We were two families - four adults, four children ages 6 - 9. The Hurley House was spotlessly clean and very well appointed. The layout was great and plenty roomy for our families. We walked or biked to the beach and to the Washington Mall area -- it's a little farther than we wanted it to be with kids in tow, but very do-able - about 3/4 mile to either location. The kitchen had everything you could ask for. In fact we liked the blender so much (great for making smoothies!) that we bought one just like it! Nice to have the outdoor space in the evening when it was a little cooler and kids were sleeping. The master bedroom is really large with a king bed. The only other room for a couple is very small with only a full bed - so for two families...one is going to definitely have to be more flexible on accomodations. That being said, beds were all comfortable, and it worked out fine. The owners were always responsive and especially kind when we lost our car keys the last day offering to let us stay longer while we had new keys made. Other than loosing our car keys (!) a really wonderful vacation.

Owner's Response: We appreciate you sharing your experience. The upstairs bedrooms are not as spacious as the master bedroom room, as they are the original rooms from a fishing cottage that existed prior to the addition added to the front of the house. They allow for beds, night stands and a built in wall area for the TV and clothes storage.

  • 5 of 5

From the moment we arrived and saw the beautiful hydrangeas we loved the Hurley House. The spacious well designed layout was perfect for our multi generation visit, the kitchen so enjoyable for cooking and gathering.it's west cape May location works well for beach and town, either biking or walking. We also enjoyed the many local shops and cafes, and easy bike rides to the light house and sunset beach. A beautiful home for a Cape May vacation!

Another great stay in Cape May!

  • 5 of 5

This was our second stay at the Hurley House and it was once again a great vacation! The house is perfect for our family and in-laws and we had plenty of room to relax and make meals. This is a lovely, clean house in a great area in Cape May close to the beach, shopping and restaurants. I love the sunroom and beautiful outdoor space!

Sad to Leave

  • 5 of 5

The Hurley House is as charming at it looks in the photos, with attractive landscaping outdoors and tasteful, and comfortable and complete furnishing indoors. Within easy biking distance of the beach and the center of town, and close to several small restaurants and food stores, it is convenient, yet quiet. My adults daughters and grandchild all enjoyed the spacious living/dining areas, the outdoor shower, and the extremely well stocked kitchen. We hope to rent it again next year.

Beautiful Vacation Home

  • 5 of 5

The Hurley House was the perfect house for our three night stay in Cape May. The location was very quiet and just a short walk to all the shops. The house was beautifully furnished and was equipped with everything we could possibly need. The fenced in yard was great, especially since we had children. We enjoyed the beach, bike riding, the shops, touring the fire department, and some time on the Wildwood boardwalk. Deb made everything about the rental process very easy. We would definitely consider staying at the Hurley House again when we return to Cape May.

We three ladies loved staying in the beautifully and tastefully furnished Hurley House. It was ideal for three gals, spacious, immaculate and conveinient. Off street parking was a big plus! This was one of our favorite private rentals. Would definitely stay there again!

Owner's Response: We appreciate your review. Our semi-circle driveway can accommodate 3-4 vehicles (depending on size) with an additional car parked on the road. Parking is never a problem and makes for easy coming and going.
