I have been renting houses on St. George Island for 30+ years. All of my property is kept clean and well maintained.
This is one of many properties that I own of St. George Island. It is centrally located with a private pool and georgeous views of the beach.
Loved our stay here! Property is well maintained, clean and very comfortable. The home is very nicely decorated, the Kitchen is well stocked and appliances all in good working order. St George Island is a beautiful, uncrowded, peaceful beach facing the Gulf. If you don't want to take a dip in the ocean, there is a beautiful secluded salt water pool at the side of the house. Owners were very responsive, and it was very easy to work with them. Most amenities are a short bike ride away on the island, so might want to rent some bikes for your stay. If you're a bit more discerning about the quality of your bike & kayak rentals you might want to check out St. George Island Journeys. For food, avoid SGI Fresh Market. Ask locally about where to get the fresh fish. Appalachiacola is a fun little town worth visiting and including eating oysters. I would recommend this home to anyone who asks.
If you want your family to love you, reserve this house for your next vacation! I was the lucky one who found it for our sibling and spouse vacation. All week I got thanks and praise from everyone else for finding such a great house and location. Beautiful interior, sparkling clean, well laid-out for family gatherings, bedrooms in opposite corners, huge living room in center, well-appointed kitchen, fabulous porch for ocean viewing, including sunrise, sunset, moon, stars, dolphins, pelicans, sandpipers, butterflies, and dragonflies---with daylong breezes. Great swing on lower level and beautiful pool area. Thanks, Island Princess, for a wonderful week on St George Island.
This was our first trip to St. George Island, and it was, by far, THE BEST beach vacation we have EVER had!!! The weather was perfect, the accommodations were perfect and island was perfect! We will definitely be back!
We love the house, the island and all that it offers! We were impressed with how well the beach was cleaned up daily by the beach patrol. Our only problem was with the internet service due to the weather.
Great place! Almost new home in great shape. Not a "tired" house like many. The pool is well furnished and clean. We arrived a day after hurricane and owner was very helpful in making sure everything was right. Kitchen & appliances were pretty and functional. Furniture was comfortable. The back porch was awesome and provided great view of ocean and for congregating.
My only quibble was that dishes had to be washed AND put away meaning that morning of check out we had to wash, dry and place dishes in the cabinets. It would have been more pleasant to load and run the dishwasher on the way out.
All said the IP is a great home and close enough to restaurants, fish and shrimp trucks and stores but not be congested or crowded. A tip of the hat to Derell and his wife.
Even with the interruption of the last few days of our weeklong stay by Hurricane Hermine, we had a great time! This was the second time our family stayed at the Island Princess and the owner really does go out of their way to make sure everything is just so. The kitchen is completely furnished and the entire property is fresh and clean. The location was great and we had such a good time while using the pool.
The only negative was having to leave before we had planned due to the hurricane. But, Mr. Plymell came by and informed us of the mandatory evacuation of the island well in advance of the hurricane's arrival. Thanks for that.
All of us had a great time!
