Well-maintained accommodation for six guests, ideal for families or mixed groups

Casa Aragon in Santa Ponsa. In the very best location on a sought-after development, this very large and attractive villa with excellent views is available for short-term rentals. It has a spacious, well-furnished lounge with free reliable internet wifi, small library, safe, top quality television with UK satellite, a large selection of films for cosy nights in and a good quality stereo system. An archway leads through to the dining area with doors to a shady lani, a secluded, sunny patio and small private garden with sun loungers, table and chairs. Ceiling fans keep the house cool in summer whilst there is a big log fire and panel radiators for winter evenings. The separate, re-modelled, well-equipped kitchen includes oven, hob, fridge and pantry and leads through to a utility room with dishwasher and washing machine. There are three large double bedrooms, two with balcony and all with panoramic views, served by three modernised bathrooms, one en-suite to the master bedroom.

Built in low-rise pueblo style with well-maintained gardens and two large communal swimming pools. There are several flights of steps but no ramps in the development; coupled with the walk down to the town and beach this is not ideal for people of limited mobililty. Please note the maximum number of guests is six, check below that your dates are available and email for an e-brochure.

Long-term winter rentals are available. Please read the rates carefully before enquiring as the longer-term winter monthly rent is considerably cheaper than in the summer.

Activities: In the favoured south-west of the island, the main beach offers all kinds of water sports, whilst there is an excellent scuba diving school based in the marina. Mallorca's coastline is full of contrasts with many pretty bays, coves and clear turquoise seas. The house is ideally placed to discover the picturesque hilly pine clad south-west of the island, the rocky north coast, Deya, Valdemossa, historic Palma and many beautiful beaches. There is excellent hiking and cycling; one of our favourite days out is to walk or horse-ride in the hills above nearby Calvia. Santa Ponsa has 3 local golf courses which have hosted the Mallorcan Classic European Tour Event, whilst tennis is available at several local clubs. Children will enjoy the nearby attractions of Jungle Park, Marineland, Aquapark and go-carting. In summer the entertainment quarter offers a wide variety of restaurants, bars & clubs together with a very professional open-air stage show in the main square: it's a much quieter resort in winter.

Baby-sitting: A reliable and experienced baby-sitter is available. We have a cot(s), high chair(s) and buggy.

Indoor swimming pool and 'Jungle Park': Whilst there are two swimming pools, more serious swimmers and winter guests will enjoy the brand new indoor public pool within five minutes walk. This state-of-the art installation holds a 25m pool with aerobics / gym section, and costs about €5 for a day pass. Very popular with children is 'Jungle Park', an adventure playground with tree-walks and exciting activities; this is near the marina, about a fifteen-minute walk.

We're always here to help you. Santa Ponsa is a 20-minute drive from the airport and is very easy to find, with good, fast roads all the way. There are always plenty of taxis and the airport fare is about 46 euros. However, hiring a car undoubtedly adds to your enjoyment as there is so much to see around this lovely island. Car hire at the airport is inexpensive with new cars which can be booked ahead. I am happy to recommend excellent car-hire companies and will provide simple directions for driving from the airport. NB Keys are available whatever time you arrive.

Near to the house is an excellent and free drop-in health centre staffed by English, German and Spanish-speaking doctors. We speak Spanish and English and my local english manager is only a phone call away should you experience any problems, need assistance or simply want advice to ensure you enjoy a great holiday on this magical island.

Why Casa Aragon, Kings Park, Santa Ponsa chose Calvia - Andratx Region

I am very fond of Santa Ponsa: Casa Aragon was my family holiday home for many years before I moved to Palma so my housekeeper and I do my best to keep in good order. Inevitably, sometimes small things go wrong but can usually be resolved within a few hours. I would describe the house as mid-range, comfortable, very well-equipped and better than most similar accommodation but not in the super-luxury bracket (for which you will pay considerably more). Many of my guests enjoy themselves so much that they return and it is a tad like greeting old friends.

What makes this villa unique

The large space, the views, the terrace and balcony, the tranquil location and the excellent beaches nearby. This is a small well-maintained residential complex with two marvellous communal swimming pools. It is generally fairly peaceful and laid-back, with many owners commuting into Palma. In summer the larger pool gets quite busy but the smaller one remains a quiet spot to read a book.

  • Large, comfortably-furnished bedrooms with quality mattresses, English pillows, extensive built-in wardrobes and ceiling fans. The master bedroom, with a huge king-size twin-linked bed, has it's own en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom contains a standard double, whilst the third has two single beds. Two of the bedrooms share a large covered balcony, perfect for breakfast, offering views of the national park towards the hills The third enjoys views over the upper pool and rooftops towards the charming county town of Calvia. We are happy to provide a cot and high chair at no charge but please note the maximum number of guests including children is six, since the small fourth bedroom is not available. A reliable and experienced baby-sitter is available. We're delighted to say that some of our guests have enjoyed themselves so much that they have become regular visitors.

Notes:
Summer bookings usually run from Saturdays. There are ample sun loungers and reed umbrellas round each of the pools and as this is a private development no reserving of the sun beds! The upper pool tends to be a peaceful place to read a book; the lower pool is more for families. Please note that because of their unique layout, the gardens include several small flights of steps but no disabled ramps. Coupled with a fair walk up the hill from the beach, this is really not suitable for people of impaired mobility unless you have a car. The development is, however, very secure, with gated access so is ideal for families. A cot and high chair are available on request at no charge. Smoking: To comply with our insurance we respectfully request our guests not to smoke within the house. I'm sorry about this but you can, of course, puff away in the garden, covered lani or on the terrace and large balcony. Thank you. Please contact me for a descriptive e-brochure.

Fantastic accommodation with a brilliant view

We cannot sing our praises high enough for both Grahame and the villa in Kings Park. From our first contact he was courteous and friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. We were greeted at the villa with a bottle of champagne and detailed information on the local bars and restaurants. The villa itself is modern with all the mod cons you could desire, and the community are very welcoming and friendly. We would recommend this accommodation to anyone and will loooed forward to visiting for many years to come! Many thanks again Grahame.

Owner's Response: Matt and his friends, a lively mixed group of young professionals, were great guests. Their communication was excellent - always important - and they made very good use of the space both inside and outside, especially the covered terrace, balcony upstairs and the two swimming pools. They left the house tidy, clean and in good order. I look forward to welcoming them again soon.

Lovely house, good location. Great place to stay!

We had a fantastic holiday at Casa Aragon. The house exceeded our expectations & was perfect for the six of us who stayed there. It is well equipped, clean & well maintained, occupying a prime location at the top of the complex right next to the quieter adult pool. A balcony adjoining two of the bedrooms is a perfect place to enjoy a morning cup of tea whilst the sun is rising & the ground floor private patio area offers pleasant outside dining for evenings where you don't want to eat out. There are only ceiling fans in the bedrooms & a free standing fan in the lounge area rather than air-conditioning throughout the house, which is the only minor drawback within the house, but this did not affect our holiday in any way & a pleasant through draught can be created through the house which keeps it nice & cool when the mercury in the thermometer rises! There are a whole range of bars & restaurants within 10 minutes walk down the hill from the house in the idyllic resort of Santa Ponsa & the walk back up to the house is a good cardio workout! A variety of restaurants cater for a wide range of food tastes & budgets, whether you want a quick pub style tea or a more relaxed dining experience. There are some stunning views of the surrounding area from the nearby National Park which is only five minutes walk from the entry gate to the complex. We had a lot of contact with the owner, Grahame, prior to travelling to Majorca, as our flights were at obscure times, but Grahame was extremely helpful & made arrangements for us to be able to access the house earlier than usual by speaking to his cleaning team who kindly agreed to re-arrange their schedule on the day we arrived. Grahame answered all of our email queries swiftly & provided excellent customer service in all contact we had with him. We would definitely recommend this house to our family & friends for a relaxing break. We will also look to return to stay at Casa Aragon ourselves in the future as we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday there.

Winter in the sun at Casa Aragon

We stayed for nearly 3 months and found the house suited our family of 2 adults and 3 children very well. The bedrooms were spacious and 3 full bathrooms were very handy so we did not need to share with the kids for once! As we were working away from home we needed the Internet and the one at casa Aragon had ample speed and download. The lounge was homely with books, games and DVDs. All day sun on the terrace and balcony meant we could still enjoy outdoors. Close to Santa Ponsa and easy drive to lots of great places... Palma, Bellver Castle, valldemossa, Soller are just a few that we got to. Grahame (owner) was helpful and touched base with us to make sure we had settled in and was very easy to deal with from initial booking to our departure. Looking forward to another visit!

A great happy family, charming and considerate, who settled in really well for the winter. I was happy to recommend many day trips - the kids particularly enjoyed the Caves de Drach whilst Lisa and Paul enjoyed drives out to the countryside and exploring the island. After three months they left the house spotless - thank you! I look forward to their return visit if ever they can drag themselves away from those fabulous Australian beaches.

Nice house, perfect for a family

We stayed at this house for three weeks with my family and were very happy. House is nice, clean and bright, well equipped. Two bedrooms facing the small garden, third bedroom facing the swimming pool. The pool area right next to the house is very quiet as there is another pool for children about 50 meters from the house. The only disadvantage for us was the fact, that we had to use some steps and carry two baby carriages all the time as we have two little babies. For a family with bigger children, this house is perfect. Beach and all restaurants are about 10 minutes walk. Grahame is a very helpful person. Our flight was canceled and he offered us to stay at his country finca for few days which is also a very beautiful place, very different from this house. Would I stay at this house again? Yes.

Above all, the key to a good stay lies in good communication which builds a rapport and trust between host and guests, something at which Rene excelled. Sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt

Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen im Casa Aragon. Sehr ruhige Wohngegend. Ausreichend Restaurants und Geschäfte in der Nähe. 10 Minuten bis zum Strand. Guter Ausgangspunkt für Besuch von Palma, aber auch in den Norden der Insel. Zimmer und Bäder waren ok, etwas wärmer hätte es in den Zimmern und Bädern sein können. Wohnzimmer war durch Kamin gut zu heizen. Schöne Terrassen, Frühstück in der Sonne war herrlich. Sehr gute Beschreibung der Anfahrt durch den Vermieter, gute Tipps für Restaurants und Ausflüge.

Great Relaxing Holiday

A great time had by the family. Great villa with the pool just outside the front door. We found the villa to be clean and just what we wanted for a relaxing holiday. The information pack Grahame supplied in the villa gave us great advice on places to eat and we used this every night, visiting some great restaurants and bars. Not a long walk to the main shops and restaurants but could be a bit of a hike on the way back although a taxi was only 4 euro. Told a few friends and family about the villa and we will visit again..

Location

Santa Ponsa is a delightful safe family resort in the most popular and warmest part of the island. The extensive white sandy beaches and gently-sloping shallow waters appeal to all ages: deck chairs, sun shades, beach bars and cafes add to the appeal - as do the parrots living in the pine trees to one side of the main beach. In an established residential area offering panoramic views over the attractive bay of Santa Ponsa, golf courses and lovely countryside which forms the national park, the villa is a 10 minute stroll down to the two beaches, bars, shops and larger supermarkets. There are two local supermarkets and a cafe/bar within 5 minutes walk. Restaurants in Santa Ponsa vary from budget family eating to 5* gourmet. There are three golf courses, a marina and a scuba-diving school. Cosmopolitan Palma with its cathedral, harbour, historic old town, superb shopping, wide variety of restaurants and sophisticated night-life is only 15 minutes by car or taxi.

Golf: Santa Ponsa has much to offer golfers. There are 3 attractive courses with a fourth, Club de Poniente, only a few minutes away; these courses are of a very high standard. Golf 1, for example, is a par-72 course at 6,106 metres and costs about 75 euros a round.
