good location, great views...
We had difficultly getting to the property due to Hurricane Dorian but was as advertised and good location to visit Key West and Islamorada. Difficult to launch kayaks due to brown algae/seaweed but used the pool which was very relaxing once we plucked out the crabs each morning. Would recommend property!!
Thanks Gary ! Glad you had a great time . Sorry about the crabs, perhaps we should put in a ramp for them to exit on ! Hope to see you again , thanks, Jim & Tudor Austin
Marathon was great
Property is private and conveniently located.
James , thanks for your kind review !
Quaint property with beautiful view.
David, thanks for your kind review
The house was really great. Comfortable and lovely. It was sad to see the mangroves all gone at the end of the jetty. High tide was really the best time. At low tide there was a pretty bad smell. The good news is we saw some leaves or new growth coming back at the bottom of the mangroves. I know it takes time for Mother Nature to repair herself after a hurricane. Both umbrellas were damaged too as well as a couple of the chairs around the pool. Regardless of these things, we enjoyed our stay! It was so nice to look out the windows at the ocean. The cool breeze coming off the water made for an enjoyable climate.
Lee, thanks for your review and your observations on Mother Nature !
These comments from the owner : " I can’t do much about the tide or the mangroves. Replaced the two hammocks reported broken in the violent windstorm the Friday before their stay. Got no report of umbrellas or chairs. And I spoke to them several times " .
Lee, if you want any problem addressed you MUST ask , and it will be promptly attended to . Many thanks, Jim & Tudor

Private, pretty and peaceful!!
I'm not sure what we loved more: the jetty at sunrise, (husband loved hooking a tarpon right off the end) the Pool, even though the water got hot in heat of the day, the nice big hammock is perfect for sunbathing, relaxing when it's shady, or at night looking at all the stars, or driving down just past Duck Key and fishing off the shore: parrot fish was my favorite!
The home was perfect, especially the comfortable beds!! It had everything we needed and plenty of beach towels to use!
The property itself is beautiful with the rocks from street to sea, all the Palm trees too!
Also, the location of this property is perfect, either way you drive is something to see or do!!
Thank you for your beautiful home and we would definitely return!!!
Dear Angie, thanks for one of the nicest reviews we have ever had ! I want to give you a special deal at our big house next year so that you can submit one for us there !! How big was the tarpon ? You were just plain great guests ! Thanks, Jim & Tudor
