About this property

The Log Cabin | Charming Country Cabin

This is the place to be for a truly quiet, peaceful, away-from-it-all stay. This reconstructed log cabin is set in the middle of acres of beautifully kept fields. It has some trees around it -- and the nearest home is that of the hosts. A porch at the front has a swing to enjoy as you look over the fishing pond. A back porch covers the short walk (about 10 feet) to the small log cabin which is the bathroom. There is a wonderful antique footed tub (no shower) to provide a luxurious soak. (Heat & air, too!!)

The restoration on this log cabin is outstanding with the logs exposed on the interior and exterior walls. The main cabin is a large room with living area and mini kitchen uniquely designed to compliment the antique furnishings. The fireplace is the focal point of the room and can be seen from the loft. Truly a romantic setting! A ladder-type stairway leads to the sleeping loft that holds a double bed and single bed with quilt coverlets and a large old trunk.

The Continental breakfast including pastries from local bakeries is left in your kitchen for you to enjoy whenever you wish. Sitting at the round table with morning coffee and pastries and gazing into the fire or looking out the window at the pond is a relaxing way to start the day. The living room has a queen bed. There is also an antique sofa and TV.

This cabin has been featured in the Hill Country VIEW magazine.

- Please be aware that the house charges an additional $16/extra guest after the first two in the party/night (before tax), so please let us know if the number of people in your group changes after you initially book the stay.

- Due to the rural location of the cabin, it does not offer internet or wifi.

- Please Note: You are renting a cabin in the Hill Country which means you may encounter wildlife (Snakes, Deer, Racoons, ETC). Please be aware of your surroundings, and take caution while driving at night. You may also encounter the various bugs, spiders, scorpions and mice that live in the country AND sometimes do make their way inside. All properties do utilize pest control services on a regular basis BUT this does not guarantee no pests or bugs will be visible.

The one hour stay
Place smelled , sheets smelled , can’t stand in bathroom if you are 6 ft tall . Firewood needs to be lit with a flame thrower to get wood burning . TV is a antique and screen is very small . Located in a cow pasture. The worst part was how dark it is you can’t read and I was hoping to read 2 books I brought . No view from cabin . We stayed about one hour and drove back home . So much for a nice weekend .

The Log Cabin was amazing. The wildlife and scenery was absolutely beautiful with deer in the fields, duck and baby ducklings on the pond, hummingbirds zooming around and gorgeous sunsets. The host was so sweet leaving pastries and delish homemade nut bread. Highly recommended The Log Cabin.

Wonderful place to stay
The log cabin was perfect. Very peaceful with the cows and the deer grazing close by. Fresh fruit and pastries were delivered every day. I loved the layout on the cabin and wash house. The a/c in the cabin did not work very well so i went and bought a fan so everything was good. Will be going back for sure

The Log Cabin
This is our second time to stay here and it won't be our last. We love that we are in the middle of a cow pasture. The cabin is cozy and quaint. I love sitting on the porch that overlooks a pond while swinging and watching the deer or listening to the cows, moo.At night you can see the stars which you do not get to see when you live in the city. I love this place!!!!!
