About Craig or Mary Brownlee
We grew up in Oroville and graduated from Oroville HS but now live in Wenatchee, WA. We have returned to Oroville and Lake Osoyoos each year where we spend most summer weekends with our children and now grandchildren. Lake Osoyoos has provided our family with a wealth of memories thru the years.
Craig or Mary Brownlee purchased this House in 2012
Why Craig or Mary Brownlee chose Oroville
This is a charming home built in 1930. The location is spectacular, with views of the lake, and yet private. You have the option of lounging on the deck and reading a book or plunging in the warm waters of Lake Osoyoos for a swim. Water sports are right outside your door. A perfect place for your vacation with family or friends
What makes this House unique
This is one of the older homes on the lake, circa 1930, and still sits on a large lot, 1 acre with 200 feet of private lake frontage. The home is beautiful from the lake, surrounded by large trees that provide summer shade, in a tranquil setting. A perfect 'get away' place.
Smoking allowed outside of the home.
Well behaved small and medium size dogs
Max guests:8 (sleeps up to 6 adults)
100% refund for cancellations more than 60 days before check-in date. 50% refund for cancellations more than 30 days before check-in date.
Great old house that accepts dogs!
House is a bit dated, but has everything you need. Big deck! Expansive lawn. No sandy beach but quiet beautiful location.
Amazing Lakefront Getaway
Perfect location to relax and truly get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It was perfect for all the swimming and lakeside fun that helped my family enjoy our week off together. Owners are fantastic communicators and helped us out when some arrangements went sideways. If we can we would love to stay there again.
Close to everything
Would stay again and recommend it to anyone looking for a dog friendly environment!
Nice lake house with views of all the lake activities. Craig also graciously loaned us a paddle when we forgot ours.
Beautiful property, no surprises, thoroughly enjoyable...we'll be back!
We had the opportunity to enjoy this property in mid August 2017. Family of 6 - lots of room, property was well appointed and arrival instructions and on-site manual ensured our stay allowed us to explore the beautiful property, interesting local low-key area and the lake. Not much more to share - very well earned 5 stars!
Very nice stay! Beautiful lake front property with great hiking nearby.
The house was roomy with a well equipped kitchen and outdoor grill. The area was very quiet in the evening and had less boat traffic during the day than I expected. The deck was great for sitting in the shade in the late afternoon to enjoy a beverage and a view of the lake. The swim platform was perfect for swimming and sunning. We were a small group but this would be a perfect place for a family gathering. I would have liked a little more AC upstairs but hey, that's summer in the Okanagan! Only a few minutes drive to Oroville for all grocery needs. We recommend the Pastime Bar & Grill and Rancho Grande for lunch in Oroville.
Oroville and Lake Osoyoos are located on the US/Canadian border, making it accessible for activities in either country. Scenic day trips to visit Historic sites around Oroville and the Okanogan highlands, or visit the wine country and multitude of options in British Columbia. Opportunities for golf, hiking, fishing, site seeing all near by.
