A newly-built guesthouse with the feel of the Old West.
We are located far enough out of Alpine to give you a rural feel, but in reality being just minutes from downtown, this studio guesthouse gives you the best of both worlds.
Sit out on the large covered porch and enjoy watching the quail and other wildlife, or visit with our own assortment of livestock. We are pet-friendly, and can even board horses for a small fee.
After you have enjoyed your day, relax around a fire in the fire pit, or soak in the hot tub while watching the sky for shooting stars and satellites. If you feel like cooking outside, there is a gas grill available, or you can BBQ over the fire in the fire pit.
Inside the guesthouse, you will experience the warmth of rustic and the comfort of modern from the custom-built cedar furniture and cabinetry to the knotty-pine vaulted ceiling, along with the wall of windows opening onto a fantastic view of Alpine against the mountains. The kitchen has a full-size refrigerator, sink, cook-top, and pantry. It is equipped with a microwave, toaster oven, automatic coffee-maker, toaster, and cooking utensils.
The queen-size custom-built bed has plenty of storage space under it in case you want to stay awhile.
The television is a 32-inch flat screen with satellite service and a DVD player.
The guesthouse is climate-controlled with a whisper-quiet heating and cooling system.
The modern, spacious bathroom includes a large walk-in shower, and a vanity with plenty of counter space. There is also a hair dryer, and an iron and ironing board.
If we are booked, or you are looking for something a little bigger, please check out our sister property, listing #923603.
Come stay outside the box, and experience the true West Texas.
We would definitely stay here again.
We loved the quaint secluded cottage. The cottage was very inviting. We enjoyed our beautiful mountain view and the Farm eggs were delicious. We will definitely be back to visit and plan to book our stay with Lisa. Her hospitality and kindness was much appreciated. We loved our visit to Alpine and can't wait to come back to visit.
Thank you so much Lisa and Steve for sharing your guest house with us! We had everything we needed and then some. The bottle of wine ended the day beautifully! Hope we have the occasion to make it back that way.
As we arrived we were greeted by Shadow the ranch dog who was super sweet and waggin' her tail letting us know life is good and you will love it here! Cute little place just far enough away from town to see the beautiful stars at night as you relax and let the worries of the world melt away in the Hot Springs spa. Everything was super clean and orderly! Steve & Lisa have a real spirit of excellence about them and make you feel right at home! We wished we had booked another night here and will definitely have to come back again! Oh, they are in the process of completing a little larger getaway place on the other side of the garage that looks awesome! This will be great if you need a space for some friends or family on your West Texas journey!
We very much enjoyed our stay. The bed is super comfortable!!! The location is perfect for visiting the area. Nice and spacious plus it was very clean. Highly recommended and we would stay again if we have the opportunity.
We had a great experience staying here. Great communication from the owner. We had a late check in and it was no problem. The place itself was lovely, just enough space for the two of us. Beautiful landscaping and I loved the farm animals. Bonus wine and fresh eggs were a super sweet touch. Wish we could have stayed longer!
Located on the Fort Davis Hwy., we are just minutes away from downtown Alpine, Sul Ross University, restaurants, and shopping, including boutique art galleries and gift shops. Alpine is the gateway to Big Bend National Park, along with historic mining towns such as Terlingua(famous for its annual Chili Cookoff) and the bordertown of Lajitas with its championship golf course. To the west of Alpine is Marfa, filled with many historic buildings and a growing art community. In between Alpine and Marfa is the famous Marfa Lights visitors' center. North on the Fort Davis Hwy., along the Texas Mountain Trail, is the Chihuahuan Desert Research Institute, which features native plants of the Chihuahuan Desert located in a gorgeous canyon setting. Further down the road is the historic town of Fort Davis, just 20 minutes from us. While there, you can explore the actual Fort Davis, which is a National Historic Site. Fort Davis is filled with charming shops and restaurants that add to its Western flair. A little further up the road is the McDonald Observatory, where you can attend their famous Star Parties, or just take a tour. The Fort Davis Highway is used by both bicyclists and motorcyclists as a year-round scenic ride. There are so many activities to enjoy in this area, and we are located right in the heart of it all.
