Come and enjoy this beautiful 2400 sq. ft home in Elk Ridge Estates! It is a beautiful spacious home with many upgrades. The gorgeous interior wood, rustic tile on all kitchen/bathroom counter tops and kitchen/bathroom floors, a floor to ceiling rock fireplace, high vaulted ceilings and lots of windows gives this home a great mountain feel. There is a FIRE PIT! You can enjoy roasting hotdogs, marshmalloooows or the kids new favorite (STARBURST CANDY)!!! The roasted marshmallows make the BEST roasted dessert, S'Mores!!!! (graham cracker, chocolate, roasted marshmallows). Just put the chocolate and roasted marshmallow between the graham cracker and it makes a great sandwich dessert. MM.. Goooood! It is located in Elk Ridge Estates, the most prestigious mountain community in Southern Utah. Elk Ridge is known for their 3+ acre lots, to assure everyone their privacy. Bryce and Zion is a 40 min. drive either way. Navajo and Panguitch lake is a 20 min. drive. We are surrounded with ATV trails, fishing holes and easy access to just about anything you enjoy in the mountains. Best of all you are sure to see Elk, Deer and Turkey abound.
This Mt. home is in a year round subdivision with nicely snow plowed roads. Also, you're sure to have no dust in the Summer season, as this is a paved community.
Lake Powell and the north rim of the Grand Canyon are within a day-trip distance, there is no shortage of natural pursuits as well as entertaining activities: Ride ATVs or snowmobiles on the 500+ miles of marked trails nearby, fish in the many area lakes, take a relaxing horseback trail ride, hike, bike, climb, take a back-country 'safari' tour, explore the canyons of Lake Powell by boat, take a guided educational class at Zion, visit and volunteer at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, attend the Shakespeare Festival in Cedar City, visit the interesting little shops in Duck Creek Village and Kanab, or just take some 'downtime' at home.
The Living/Dining/Kitchen area is spaciously designed for your down time of just hanging out, cooking, eating, playing games or just having great family time. There is an international airport in Las Vegas and Salt Lake City. Cedar City has a regional airport as well. Las Vegas and Salt Lake City are both linked with Interstate 15 with an Exit to Cedar City. It's just a short 40 minutes on a beautiful scenic drive up the Mt. on Highway 14 to our Mt. home.
Should you happen to forget something, there is Tod's Country Store 1/2 mile away that has quit a bit. Groceries, gas, gifts, liquor, beer, wine, soft serve ice-cream and a self-serve grill to cook your hamburger or steak sandwich to YOUR perfection! On Saturday mornings during the Summer months in Tod's Country Stores' parking lot, there is a great Farmers Market and Fatty's Barbeque.

We greatly enjoyed staying at the cabin. Almost every night we saw at least 30 mule deer from the porch of the cabin. We spent our days visiting the National Parks. Our favorite was Cedar Breaks National Monument with its great views and hiking trail.
Let me add to the large number of glowing reviews for this rental. Have you ever arrived been dissapointed and said "Man if I ever rented, I'd do this like it should be done"? Well these owners are doing it. The place is amazing. Sharp Knives, plenty of paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, laundry detergent, towels, clean sheets. This is how it should be done. Location is perfect to travel to Zion (East side entrance) and Bryce. A little farther to Escalante. Definitely stop at Walmart for food in Cedar City, it's an hour over the hill (and another back) if you don't. And there is nothing nearby in terms of restaurants. The gas station 1/4 mile away is pretty good though. Use the grill and fire pit often. The gas fireplace with the flip of a switch I imagine is very nice in the winter. You can see the Milky Way at night! Satellites too. We were also lucky enough to visit during the Perseid meteor showers (awesome!).
If you forced me to find any negative, perhaps the ice maker could be hooked up? But that could also be because of the water which is very "minerally". I had no problems with it though.
Don't stay here if you're a bunch of college bums looking to mess a place up. This place is too nice and those who respect rentals? Well you've found a gem in this one. Leave it better than you found it. Thanks for all the efforts of the owners, I know it's easy to be a cynic. We're all thankful for your hard work at not allowing yourself to be, and doing it right.
This home was very clean and comfortable and the location was between Bryce and Zion. We loved it! It was really nice to come back, have a nice meal, and watch deep and turkey from the deck after spending the day in the national parks. I'd stay here again!
This was a beautiful and well appointed home. It was close enough to Zion & Bryce Canyon we could easily go early and be back mid-day to rest and enjoy the home. I highly recommend this rental.
Or stay was so much better than staying in the parks. Zion and Bryce Canyon are truly spectacular but can be crowded during peak season. It is a very short drive (less than an hour) to each park from this location. We cooked our meals at home and avoided crowds and restaurants. The cabin was beautiful and not too rustic. Comfy beds and air conditioning for the hot summer temps with a great quite location to return to after a day's trek into the canyons. We enjoyed the soaker tub. The drive through Duck Creek village had its own unique scenery as well. We stocked up in Cedar City before arriving for our week long stay.
Very warm and inviting. It was clean and well kept. We will definitely stay again. Perfect location to access multiple national parks. Thank you!!!
