About the property

This spacious traditional house with its pool is the perfect getaway.

Brunch on the terrace next to the pool, soak up the Greek island sun, relax, meditate and enjoy the unpolluted view of the mountains and sea.

The property is completely isolated from traffic and other disturbances, whilst being accessible by car and in walking distance from the fishermen village of Faros.

It consists of two buildings, perfect for families or a group of friends.

The main house is a white-washed, traditional architecture house with two pergolas next to the pool. It has a total surface of 175 m². It comprises three master bedrooms, each with private bathroom and its private veranda, a guests' WC, living-room with open kitchen and a stone fireplace.

In addition, in the same complex there is a space of 20 m² with high ceiling which can serve either as an atelier. The atelier is a multi-purpose space and includes a small bathroom/WC, washing machine, dryer, storage and wine cellar.

The guest-house is a fully renovated barn (themonia) of 85 m² with apparent classic stone walls. It consists of two parts:

- an apartment with one bedroom, a large common living room with two sofa-beds, bathroom and kitchen which sleeps at least 4 persons.

- a separate studio with its own door, adjacent to the apartment that can sleep 2 persons and has its own bathroom and kitchenette.

The guest-house can sleep 6 persons in total.

If there are more than 6 guests, the guests will have access to the whole surface of 260 m² which includes the main house, the renovated barn, pool, pergolas offering shadow and coolness, an inside atelier as well as an outdoor space which allows multiplue vehicles to park.

For up to 6 guests the renovated barn will be accessible upon request and with an extra charge of 60 euro/day

A large pergola with an external shower sculptured in the original mountain rock and big verandas surround the house.

The pool ( constructed by the French firm Piscines Idéales) has a size of 47,5 m² (10,5m x 4,5m) in rectangular form with sitting/lounge area.

The garden hosts the original vegetation of the hill and planted Mediterranean plants and trees, such as cypress, old and young olive trees, lavender, oregano and thyme.

The threshing floor (Aloni, in Greek), is a beautiful round stone construction which originally served for seed separation. The ideal spot for meditation.

The houses are stone made, designed according to bioclimatic rules adapted to the island, offering a cool atmosphere day and night.

Ceilings fans add coolness and style.

Bedlinnen will be changed and the houses will be cleaned twice per week at no extra charge.

By building this house in 2017 we wanted to build an experience and atmosphere people wouldn't easily forget. It was built eco-friendly, only with local materials, local builders and on our own designs, respecting the islands architecture.

We have been visiting Sifnos for the past 30 years and can help with everything you might need during your stay.

What makes this villa unique

Neighbourhood overview

The V-property has an ideal location, it enjoys nice sea views to the east (the V-shaped view) and the south, towards Antiparos, Paros, Naxos and Sikinos. It is completely isolated from traffic and other disturbances, whilst being accessible by car. Moreover, an ancient footpath brings you to the beautiful fishermen village Faros in just 20'. The property is a 3-5’ car drive from Faros and 10’ from Apollonia.

Getting around

The property is accessible by car, by scooter or by a one minute walk from the main road to Faros, where busses ride by every hour. It is located about a 10-minute drive from Apollonia, the main village of Sifnos.

Ancient paths surround the property, ideal for 1-2 hours sunset walks. A 15' walk brings you at the picturesque village of Faros with its 3 beaches and from there, the thrilling seaside path Faros-Apokofto leads you at the rocky peninsula with the famous monastery of Chrysopigi.

Other things to note:

Travel: If you are flying from abroad, it is important that your flight and ferry-trip are enough time apart to ensure an easy and stress-free travel to Sifnos. We suggest calculating at least three hours.

Car Rental: It is advised to book a car in advance as availability is limited.

Daily cleaning is available upon request with an extra surcharge of 50€ per day.

Breakfast, Dinner, Baby-sitting, Transfers: can be arranged upon request.
