My name is Sara and I am the owner of the apartment Strachan. I am 41 years old, I was born in Bilbao (northern Spain), I have lived in many countries but I chose to live in Malaga because I fell in love with this beautiful city, the people, climate, food ... Everything is great here and I am very happy when people enjoy the city as much as I do.

A Delightful place to stay

This was our third visit to Sara's apartment. Another wonderful visit to Malaga. Location superb. Sara was helpful as usual and responded promptly when there was a problem with hair dryer. We plan to return

good quality apartment

very please with the apartment . it is in a lovely street with nice resturants and bars just outside . the apartment was quiet as it is fitted with double glazing and it is on the fouth floor . i rang Sara when we came off the train and we were met at the apartment 10 minutes later

Really Check in is it at 13:00 but we try to be flexible with all ours early check ins (before 13:00) as your case. Kind regards, SARA

Highly recommend this little gem...

Highly recommend this little gem in the heart of Malaga. The location was perfect. It is located in the historic part of the city next to Malaga's Cathedral. Close to all major tourist attractions, wonderful restaurants and a ten-minute walk to the beach. Apartment was clean, modern and secure. We thoroughly recommend Sara and this apartment for anyone wanting to explore this wonderful little city.

Great apartment and superb location

The apartment is just off the main street in Malaga. Many shops and excellent restaurants at our doorsteps. The apartment is cute with everything you may need, clean and comfortable. We would definitely recommend the apartment.

Disappointing

Our stay in this apartment had a bad start. We arrived at the time we had previously advised but unfortunately when we arrived at the apartment there was nobody to meet us. After around 15 minutes (it was a grey and rainy morning), we telephoned Sara and were advised that somebody would be with us in 5 minutes. She seemed surprised to hear from us, but we had confirmed our arrival time only 2 days previously. Eventually, after around another 15 minutes somebody from the office arrived. She opened the apartment door but made no effort to apologise for the delay or to even offer to help with our bags.

When we got in she asked for the remainder of the balance. We offered a card, but this was not acceptable and so she insisted that we went to the bank there and then. So, after 8 hours travelling, we went to the bank with her. We could not withdraw the amount in one transaction and so had no alternative but to give her our card details and she then advised there would be a surcharge. A wonderful start, especially, when the apartment we had originally booked with the company was double booked and so this was a second choice.

The apartment is very, very small. It is functional to some extent, but I would not consider the minimum amount of cutlery, mugs and plates to be a fully equipped kitchen. The bedroom had mismatched bed linen (and Caterina upon our arrival gave us some spare bedding in a shopping bag - she had brought it through the streets in the drizzle and just dumped it on us). We were also given some tired looking grey towels.

The bathroom had a lightbulb that did not work and so the mirror was virtually unusable. We had to buy a hand mirror to use by the window.

Throughout our stay, other bulbs went and Caterina turned up and then asked my husband to balance on a wobbly chair (over a glass table and cooking hob) to overstretch to fit it. But the one she brought one that did not fit.

Under the bed there was fluff and an incredible amount of dust. The bathroom basin was cracked.

The flat was very noisy at night, we heard every restaurant down the road packing up in the early hours.

The TV remote did not work so we could not use the DVD. We were promised a visit to rectify this, but it did not happen.

On the plus side, the cafe next door was great - fantastic value for breakfast and it was close to Larios Street. There was also adequate hot water.

Overall, some work to do and plenty of customer service skills needed.

Would not recommend.
