great location, weak AC.

  • 4 of 5

The house, itself, was great. It was in a perfect location and we were able to see plenty of wildlife in the yard. The layout was nice and spacious and everything was clean. The only problems we had were with the AC. It works so little that is safe to say it doesn't work at all. The only time it would cool off, it would be past midnight and all the windows were open. It made it tough to fall asleep before this die to it being so muggy and hot. Also, the refrigerator did not work very well. We had almost luke warm milk for the first couple of mornings. We had the temperature as low as it could go in the fridge. I suggest the fridge not being warmed up in between everyone's stay. Just let it stay cold. It has a hard time catching back up in a timely manner with stuff in it. I contacted the property owner about the issue and received no reply. The guest book had many other residents leave the same comments about these 2 problems and I guess it is not a priority to fix for the owner.

Owner's Response: Thank you for this response. This house was not advertised to have air conditioning. 95% of all houses in Estes Park do not have this feature because of our cool mountain nights. Unfortunately, most thermostats have a cool position on them. That is the way they come. The refrigerator works very well. As with all refrigerators, If a person suddenly fills an empty refrigerator with food, the refrigerator will have difficulty getting the food cold in a short time. It is better to not put beverages into the refrigerator until it has time to catch up. These items are always a priority for us. Unfortunately, there was nothing we could do to remedy the situation.

Nice Place

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful renovated place on the edge of town. There were Elk on the lawn when we arrived. We also saw deer and coyotes out of the window. The hot tub was nice and warm.

Home Away from Home Feel

  • 5 of 5

Our group of eight adults enjoyed our five day stay at this Estes home very much. The rental provided plenty of space and amenities allowing for a relaxing get-away. There are many nice updates to the home. The proximity to all that Estes has to offer in town and in the mountains makes it a great location – not to mention all the wildlife that strolls up onto the property. With all the windows in the home it an easy way to see nature up close & personal. Give it a try!

R&R Weekend

  • 5 of 5

Thank you for sharing your beautiful Estes home! The layout of the home is open and allowed eight adults and opportunity to enjoy each other's company by spending time on the deck on a warm Spring afternoon, spent time in the hot tub and enjoyed the use of the grill when we made a home made meal. The location of this home is ideal that it makes it 'within 5 minutes to most everything!' We enjoyed the daily visits of elk, deer and turkeys; seeing these animals in 'their environment' was a bonus and would surely excite that of a child (since the grown children were at the window once a siting occurred)! And finally the backdrop of the mountains was absolutely wonderful!

Plenty of room for the 8 of us

  • 5 of 5

We had 8 adults sharing the place and it was gorgeous, very spacious and clean. The amenities of the place were all there, from the hot tub to the laundry room to 3 bathrooms for getting ready and a grill for cooking. We cooked several meals there and we had everything we needed to do that plus the grocery store is 5 minutes away. The location may not be the most secluded but its so convenient to everything. There were a lot of wildlife sightings every day, mule deer, elk, turkeys and birds, just beautiful to watch out the windows. We definitely recommend staying here and we will stay here again for sure!

Honeymoon Vacation

  • 5 of 5

My now husband and I were lucky enough to enjoy a BEAUTIFUL honeymoon in this cabin. We could not have asked for anything better. The house was absolutely stunning, clean, spacious, and had everything we could have possibly asked for. We spent a majority of our time hiking, shopping, etc, but even wanted to find time to stay at the house and relax and use the hot tub. One of the best vacation houses I have EVER stayed in. We will definitely be booking this house again! Thank you very much for a trip we will never forget!
