'Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.' Psalms 16:11
Teresa purchased this cottage in 2012
There's just no better place on earth to relax, unwind and spend precious time together, than at the water. When my father passed, my dream became to turn his cottage into a place where families, (ours included), could be together and have the time of their lives, in a beautiful wholesome setting with very little effort. We feel we have accomplished this. My father would be pleased.
Johnnie's Cottage is the perfect balance between a private secluded getaway and a sightseers paradise. Conveniently located just 1.5 paved miles from hwy#95.
Just got home a few days ago from Johnnie's cottage and can't say enough good things about this place. You really can't beat being right on the lake with your own beach. There are kayaks, a canoe, pedal boat, firepit, lifejackets and the swimming dock. Lee and Teresa have really thought of everything. Had a great time in and out of the water. The cottage has everything you need. The beds are so comfy. Our grandkids enjoyed the bunk beds and the TV in that room (a treat for vacation)as well as the games, play structure and movies. They even visited the neighbors down the road and pet chickens, a bunny and goats while on their scavenger hunt. Everyone is hoping to go back next year. Thank you so much Lee and Teresa!
This was our 3rd year at Johnnie's cottage and it was just as good as the last 2. Lee and Teresa are amazing people that go above and beyond to make sure your stay is everything you'd hoped for. The house still has everything you could ever need, the grounds are immaculate, and the water is beautiful. This is the perfect place for small children. There is a playground for them to play on, toys in the house for rainy days, and the beach and water are fantastic. Nothing to complain about! We have booked for next year again and can't wait to be sitting on the covered deck looking over the lake! Thanks again for another great year full of memories!
Thank you for sharing your lovely rental home with us. Your home is charming and warm. Thanks to you, we continued our summer tradition on Lake Cocolalla.
The Helland Family. ❤️
Our second year at Johnny's Cottage and it was every bit as wonderful as our first visit two years ago. Arriving at this cabin is just the best feeling. You know you're in for something special. This home has a beautiful yard, front and back and sits right on the lake. The lake is shallow around the dock and the kids can play, swim and fish all day--there's never a want of something to do. There's play equipment for kids, an outdoor shower (heated), beautiful lighting around the yard and dock. kayaks, canoe, paddle boat, life jackets, plenty of nice chairs, firewood all provided. Lee and Teresa are the most thoughtful owners. They provide everything you need (things you didn't even know you were going to need, i.e. marshmallow roasting sticks). The house is clean and perfectly decorated with the exact right touches for a lake cabin. Kitchen is extremely well equipped and organized. Everyone in the family wants to return next year for another week. Everyone's favorite vacation ever. Best memories here!
Wow! We could not have asked for anything. This home has it all. It is cozy, exceptionally clean, and well appointed with everything you could need, and what a beautiful setting. We were welcomed by a beautiful, young, daughter-in-law (who was very patient as we got slightly lost). We had a personalized introduction to what the home had to offer (which is lots....beach towels, beach toys, chairs, games, movies, etc.). The kitchen even comes stocked with starter condiments, home-made pancake mix (yummy), spices, and any dish/pan/container, you would have at home. We cooked and ate every meal in this home, except one (spread some money in town). It made for great family fun and reconnection. The weather was great with one day of coolness which was perfect for a day trip to the Mountain for a chairlift ride---too darn high for my nerves, but if the grand-boys could do it, so did Grammy. The kayaks and paddle boat were a hit everyday and we brought a little fisherman along who stood on that dock for hours. Thanks for providing us with a perfect home to have both my adult children, finance', and grand-boys, all together under one roof for one week. Heidi P. and Neil M.
We had a wonderful week at Johnnie's Cottage! Well maintained grounds with plenty of outdoor activities! We loved how they paid attention to meeting the needs of smaller children. The dock with canoe, paddle boards, kayak's and paddle boat was so much fun! We would love to come back!
