About Cliff DeVito
Owners Chris Walker and Cliff DeVito purchased the Forest Oaks estate in 2011 and have been diligently working on restoring the property since then. It was love at first site when the owners first walked into the Manor House, in-spite of the amount of work that would be needed to bring the property back to its original beauty. The transition from their home in Phoenix, Arizona to a rural Virginia lifestyle was seamless since both Chris and Cliff were looking for a change from the desert southwest climate. The four-season climate, lush vegetation and history of the region was a natural draw. Restoring Forest Oaks has become a passion as is sharing the estate’s beauty and history with the public.

What do you want?
If you are after a bustling environment with lots of distractions, this is not the place for you. On the other hand, if you are looking for a beautifully restored historic property in a pastoral setting you have hit the jackpot.
You are welcomed as if you are a long anticipated guest to your host's home because that is exactly what you are. Host accommodated our late arrival graciously, but I would not recommend taking advantage of this because you are then missing out on the experience of the property and surrounding area. Breakfast is a culinary delight made all the better by the fact you enjoy it at a communal table with the other guests.
This gem should not be missed.
Lovely and comfortable...
Great food, lovely accommodations, and lots of close by attractions.
Majestic bed and breakfast with breathtaking views
Unfortunately, we only stayed at this property for one night. The property gives an amazing first impression when you drive up and see the beautiful property. Our room was beautifully filled with antiques and was comfortable with modern amenities. Breakfast was perfect!
Beauitful Property and Great Hosts
The Inn at Forest Oaks is a lovely place to visit. A very handsome and comfortable place to stay, very convenient to I-81. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating. Only sorry that our stay was just overnight. Other guests we met had been there numerous time. Also a good recommendation.
Cliff and Chris are super hosts. Incredible home interior and fantastic food and hospitality. Two BIG thumbs up!
Delightful B&B! Don't pass this one by.
My husband and I only spent 2 nights at the inn, but we feel like we are now the Lord and Lady of the manor. Cliff and Chris have turned a tired and somewhat neglected 11,000 sq ft house into a beautifully restored, stately manor that invites you stop and enjoy the peace of its pastoral setting. Cliff and Chris are wonderful hosts! Our room was comfortable and had everything thing we needed. And don't even think about sleeping through breakfast! Our morning meals were delicious! If you are a quilter, there is a very nice quilt store only a few miles away in Fairfax, VA: The Quiltery. Not far past the Quiltery, drop by the gas station. They have wonderful hamburgers! Thanks Cliff and Chris - you will see us again!
Natural Bridge and the surrounding area are teaming with history, fun and beauty. Spend a day strolling through the historic town of Lexington, hike in the George Washington and Jefferson national forest, fish in any number of streams and rivers, or spend a day kayaking or tubing on the James River. You can also visit our local Natural Bridge zoo and the Virginia Safari Park or spend time marveling at Virginia’s crown jewel, the Natural Bridge and the Natural Bridge Caverns. Once you experience the beauty and history of our area, you will want to come back again to take more in.
