Cozy Lake District Retreat
This is a beautiful little cottage with everything we needed for a short stay. It was sparklingly clean and we we're thrilled with the welcome bottle of Prosecco left by Emma. The meal at Crooklands Hotel was excellent and it is a short drive to the heart of the Lake District. Would definitely recommend Pear Tree Cottage.
Away from the bustle of Windemere, Ambleside and Keswick. Close to charming Kendall and all the lakes are accessible (wonderful visit to Ruskin’s home). Very comfy and having a washer and dryer was fabulous. Hot water, shower, coffee all worked great. Grocery store was a short drive. Host and hostess were available and helpful.
Smashing little cottage
A lovely small cottage. Was very clean, in good condition & cosy. Perfect just for a couple of nights. If staying longer May prefer something a little more spacious. Good location to explore the Lake District. We had a problem with the drains but this was dealt with very promptly and efficiently and had excellent communication about the issue. The combination microwave was new to me but luckily didn’t really need an oven as we were out & about for most meals. Beautiful part of the country.
Would definitely revisit!
It is such a cosy, clean, stylish little getaway for a couple! Located in a quite little village!! Would definitely recommend
Fantastic Stay in Great Location
First impressions were very good. Well looked after with everything you need. Top of the range appliances. In great location for M6 and close to local shops and town. Lovely neighbour who was kind and friendly. Would recommend this for a lovely stay for 2 people.
Beautiful little cottage in good location
Ideal for my weekend away. Clean and cosy
Pear Tree Barn is situated 1 mile from junction 36 of the M6,and just 6 miles south of the market town of Kendal.
It is ideally placed for sampling the delights of the Lake District National Park and the Yorkshire Dales. Kendal, also known as the gateway to the lakes has a super selection of shops, bars and restaurants. The property is situated within a short walk of the popular Crooklands Hotel which offers both bar meals and an a la carte menu. The village of Endmoor is only half a mile away and has a local shop and a bakery. There are a good selection of walks from the door including the canal path and a scenic river walk.
