About the property

Detached, Spacious Period Family Home With 2 Large Gardens

The property was architect designed in 1954 by Cowell, Drewitt & Wheatley and has remained in the family since. It has recently benefited from a sympathetic restoration and is an ideal base to explore Newquay and Cornwall. Although built post WW2, the interior has an art deco feel to it with its curved staircase original bathroom suite, Spanish styled arches and parquet flooring.

It is perfect for families with children, has 2 spacious gardens both in the front and rear with a covered pargolla in the back garden.

Similarly, it is ideal for golfers, surfers and walkers with all amenities easily walkable. A car is not necessary for a Newquay based holiday, however a car is advised if you wish to explore the attractions of the County.

Quesnelle Delight !

Stayed at this lovely spacious house with parents and some friends from Sweden as well as our two dogs. The house is so lovely in its Art Deco style with ample space in all the rooms. Upon our arrival we found everywhere exceptionally clean and we were greeted with a bunch of flowers and welcome parcel of milk, prosecco, Cornish Cream tea, tea, coffee and sugar. Towels and bedding are provided in the bedrooms. Two tea towels were provided but you may need to bring some oven gloves as the Aga in the kitchen gets very hot! There is a nice contained garden area with two tables to eat at when the sun is shining. Some beach equipment (wind breaks, buckets, spades and body boards) was available to use in the huge integral garage. There is a washer, dryer and dishwasher available so reallly you have everything you need to have a stay away home from home. There is plenty of parking for 3/4 vehicles on the drive and you are a stones throw from Fistral Beach and also within walking distance from town. If you have any issues the owner Mr Robert Dowden is on hand and is quick to answer any of your questions or resolve any problems.

All in all this was a fabulous place to stay and we will certainly be returning in the future. Thank you Robert and Nuha for a lovely place to stay! 5 stars plus

Great for family, position and welcome.

Short family holiday (6 adults). House was warm and welcome, as was Robert (owner), weather not so (but November, well?). Aga kept us all warm and really helped dry coats etc. Town centre and beaches all within 5/10 mins walk. Would certainly recommend this as a place to stay (would imagine, with the gardens, this would be superb in the summer).
