What a find: A sixth-floor (with lift), two-bedroom apartment with a balcony overlooking a park! This apartment is great for families and couples, offering space, light and modern furnishings for a wonderful vacation in Paris. The apartment features a queen bed in the master bedroom, and two twins in the second bedroom which can be combined to make a king-sized bed should you desire. Both bedrooms offer plenty of storage with built-in modern closets. The bathroom features a shower/tub combo, sink, vanity and storage, and the WC (toilet room) is separate. The kitchen has been completely remodeled and has all you'll need to enjoy preparing meals at home with wonderful produce, fish, meat and cheese found in the neighborhood at local traiteurs. And with WiFi Internet access, TV, DVD, telephone - you'll stay connected! Tucked away in a quiet residential section of Montmartre, you'll have a home-base in Paris that has much to discover, yet is also easily accessible to all Paris has to offer
This was our second stay in this 2 bedroom apartment in Montmartre, and all I can say is that it was once again...PERFECT in every sense of the word. The apartment is clean, well maintained, and extremely comfortable. Everything you need is there...full kitchen, dishwasher, TV, WiFi, and great phone service. The rental agent, Paula, is a true professional and was once again extremely helpful in making our stay a memorable one. When you arrive, she is there to greet you and will provide you with excellent information to get your holiday off to a great start. The apartment is about a 15 min walk to Sacre Coeur, and located in a GREAT neighborhood (Montmartre-18eme arrondissement) with tons of boulangeries, patisseries, open-air street markets, supermarkets, and fantastic restaurants. It has a true Parisian feel-especially convenient for those who don't want to be "smothered" by tourists. It is located near two convenient Metro lines (12 and 13) and several great Bus lines making it extremely easy to get around Paris. If you have children, the park across the street is especially charming. The neighbors in the building are quite friendly as well. All I can say, is that we really hope to stay there again on our next visit to Paris!
I rented this apartment for the month of October and found it very comfortable and trouble-free. Paula, the property management provides a wonderfully complete binder providing virtually all information you might need, including how to use appliance that are much different than those in North America.
The location turned out to be just right in terms of walkability and easy access to buses and subways. Within a couple of blocks, you can shop for almost any type of food. Like many previous reviewers, I really liked the Brio restaurant/cafe just up the street.
For me, it was important that the apartment was well managed and taken care of. Paula is an excellent property manager and I would highly recommend this apartment.
My Wife, my son (12 yrs) and myself stayed at this fantastic apartment in central Paris in a lovely peaceful area that is a real part a Paris. The apartment has everything and more than you will need. It is modern and clean. It is very near to both the Metro and the 95 bus stop with lovely restaurants and shops very near by. It's a brilliant base from which to explore all that Paris has to offer and Paula and her team will really look after you. We will be back and recommending to all our friends and family.
We were a family of 5 with 3 teenage kids. This was a great fit for us for our 5 night stay. Our girls loved their twin beds and our son used the fold-out bed. The location was really fantastic! There were so many shopping and eating options within a very easy walk. Sacre Cour was also just a walk away (uphill). The apartment was clean, warm and well stocked with everything we needed to make us feel at home. We didn't cook much in the evening because we wanted to enjoy the local food, but enjoyed having our own warm breakfasts. It was very nice to be able to wash clothes. The welcome book in the apartment had information about shopping, getting around, sight seeing and more. We REALLY appreciated the internet after having almost none on the skiing part of our trip. We highly recommend this location!
My mom, step-dad, sister & I stayed in this spacious and beautiful apartment from 9/19-9/26/15. I had three worries when booking this seemingly perfect apartment.
1. Was it safe to book through HomeAway?
2. Was the apartment as pictured?
3. Was the apartment in a good location for a first-time visitor to Paris?
The answer to all three questions is YES!
1. The booking procedure was extremely smooth. Paula was quick to reply with any question we had prior to arrival, and met us at the apartment on the day of arrival to help us get settled.
2. The apartment was EXACTLY as pictured. It was loaded with every necessity – from big things (washing machine and linens), to small things (maps & umbrellas). It fit us four adults comfortably; we especially liked the full shower and separate toilet.
If you’d like to see a video walk-through of the apartment, here’s a link to our vacation movie on YouTube: http://youtu.be/_PErWlRQwbE (copy & paste into your browser). It’s 38 minutes long, but the walk-through starts at 2:28 and ends at 3:23, so you don’t have to watch the whole thing. (There are lots of glimpses of the apartment and the neighborhood throughout the video.)
3. The apartment was in a beautiful neighborhood and a great location overall. The Metro was easy to navigate (get the app!) and not too expensive, getting us to all the tourist attractions easily.
Our little neighborhood held so many wonderful treats. Each morning we would hit a new boulangerie for breakfast, we went to the market on Ordener both Sunday and Wednesday to buy snacks (so much cheese!) for the apartment, and stopped by the Franprix grocery store on our walk home from the Metro to pick up milk.
We hit Le Brio (up the road from the apartment) twice for dinner. The employees were so friendly and helpful, and the food was good (order some frites & crème brulee and call it a night). We walked a bit further to La Terrass for a fancy dinner overlooking the Eiffel Tower one other night.
One note: we noticed the further we were from the main tourist areas, the fewer people we found who spoke English. We knew enough French (and hand signals) to get our point across, but just keep in mind that the lovely people working in these little neighborhood joints might not speak English.
Last of all, we took Paula’s advice and hired both Citizen Limousine and Jodie in Paris (tour guide). Both offered exceptional services. Thank you Paula, Hakim & Jodie! We'll be back!
The apartment was ideal for our family of four; larger than we expected and well laid-out. It's modern, well maintained, very clean and secure. Park across the street where children played after school and in the evenings. It was lovely to hear their laughter. The deep bathtub was the perfect place to relax after a long day of sight-seeing. Paula, the owner's agent, was very responsive when we were securing the apartment and during our stay. Her "blue binder" of information on the apartment, neighbourhood, transit, shopping, restaurants, etc...was detailed and accurate. I would highly recommend this apartment for its amenities and for the neighbourhood.
Paris, France is the number one tourist destination in the world, a city with more to offer travelers than one can imagine! This apartment is located in a residential neighborhood on rue Marcadet in Montmartre in the 18th arrondissement of Paris, a neighborhood filled with artistic history as well as delightfully picturesque streets lined with boutiques, boulangeries and bistros. Find a supermarket just down the street, and specialty shops with cheese, wine, chocolate and pastries a two-minute walk away on rue Damremont. You'll find it easy to get around Paris, as the apartment is located between two Metro stations: GUY MOQUET (Line 13) and LAMARCK-CAULAINCOURT (Line 12). Another great option is the 95 Bus, which is about a one-minute walk from the apartment and will take you past the Opera Garnier, the Louvre and on to the left bank to St. Germain-des-Pres. So make yourself at home on rue Marcadet, and take advantage of all Paris has to offer!
