The apartment offers a fitted kitchen which includes modern electrical appliances and one beautiful fireplace. It is in a short walk from the sea with spectacular view to the island of Kikinthos. One enormous green plate on the National Road Athens -Thessalonica shows the street for Sourpi. It deserves to follow it because the village offers alternative activities both to the mountain and the sea.In Amaliapoli there are many fish-tavernas round the harbour which offer fresh fish and plenty marine appetizers.

Perfection! We stayed 2 weeks on April. One of the best places that we have ever stayed!!! Tastefully renovated, very clean, well maintained and fully equipped. The balcony is the best place to drink your coffee…we sat there most of the time just drinking and eating Greek appetizers with the blue sea and sky, watching the little boats come and go. It is certainly one of the best views! The village location was perfect within a couple of minutes walk of local shops, bakery, tavernas. We definitely recommended for relaxation. We had a wonderful holiday in Amaliapoli and we didn’t want to go home. Litsa, thank you very much for all your help!
a room withe a view
After 10 days in Afissos, a short stay in Thessaloniki and Meteora, we arrived in Amaliapoli. First we were a bit in shock because the road to A. didn't look like a quiet place to be....But around the corner (s) we were surprised by this charming little village.
The apartment was small but very cosy and everything 'on board'. The balcony does have a stunning view. In the morning you have the sun in your coffee cup, the rest of the day it's in the shadow. That's nice!!
We were with 3 ..our daughter in the living room. She slept all right but we left the bed so it was a bit cramped. ..but we where out most off the time. Airco was nice!!
Amaliapoli is a quiet little village with all the things you need ( ow, except postcards). No more, no less. No foreign tourists....!!
The beach was a bit crowded so our "paralia" was in Nies. There is also a nice taverna in Nies where you can jump into the sea, with a shower! Good food also.
We also went for a boattrip to Skiatos from Achilleio. This island is a bit of a shock when you just come from quiet Amaliapoli....
Glitsa was very helpfull when we need some information.
Thanks very very much!! A nice apartment to return to..
Our holiday in Amaliapolis
We had a wonderful time in Amaliapolis. The village is lovely and picturesque with friendly tavernas and bars. It has a supermarket and a bakery. Amaliapolis sits in a beautiful bay overlooking the Pelion Peninsula. There is a lovely village promenade and small beach, and a bigger beach 15 minutes by car at Nies which has only a small cafe and very few people. The water there is clean with natural spring water gushing in to it. From Amaliapolis you can drive 2 hours to Meteora, where the 'monasteries of the air' are, which is magnificent, you can take a day trip to Skiathos, a beautiful island with sandy beaches, and you can explore the north of the Pelion, which is lovely too.
Litsa was lovely, and provided everything we needed. She gave us wonderful gifts of bread and sweets. The apartment is clean and has everything you need in it. The balcony is big with a table on it, looking over the bay.
thank you Litsa xx
We are a couple and we went to Greece for summer holidays .We had a fantastic stay in the beautiful house in Mitzela with an amazing view to the sea.It is very well equipped with all the amenities and very very clean. We strongly recommend it for all ages. The village has several shops with traditional foods, supermarket, and it is very close to Skiathos island. Also it is very near to the Mountain of Pelion which has many traditional villages. From Amaliapolis, there is a boat which is going daily to the island of Skiathos.Thank you very much for your care and your tastefull products. We are looking forward to meeting you again in the near future.
GREAT LOCATION WITH PANORAMIC VIEW
Our week stay in Amaliapoli was spectacular! Sadly we only had only one week but we will definetely come back for the next summer. We can truly say that this was the best vacation we have ever had. The house is comfortable, very clean and very well equipped, in a peaceful place with wonderful views and a great balcony. Amaliapoli is a charming village, filled with interesting places to explore. Thank you very much for your support, your sweets and your wonderful house.
See you next summer!!!!!!
Paradise in Amaliapoli
If you are looking for a relaxing holiday vacation with beautiful views, a little serenity and peacefulness then you have found the right place! We truly enjoyed our stay in the beautiful quaint village of Amaliapoli. The owner made you feel like family the minute you met her, so warm and welcoming. Thank you Litsa!! The apartment was beautifully decorated, incredibly clean and well maintained. The kitchen is fully equipped. The panoramic view off the balcony was breathtaking. We enjoyed the peacefulness sitting out having our coffee in the morning enjoying the view. A small walk to the beach for some fun and sun. The restaurants are located along the sea and the food was incredible. The freshest of ingredients, I would recommend the whole grilled fish...it was so amazing. The village is not crowded which is a plus, and everyone is very friendly and helpful. We definately will be back to stay at Litsa's home in paradise!!
The area is known for being the most picturesque area of the Pelion region.
In central Greece, in a two hour distance from both Athens and Thessalonikii and only 10 km from Sourpis road intersection, in the national road Athens-Thessaloniki is the coastal village of Amaliapoli, at first Mitzela.
The village was named Amaliapoli, in 1839, after Amalia, the first Queen of Contemporary Greece visited the village and was amazed by the harmony of the landscape and the sea-mountain combination, as the settlement is located on a hill. The village is near the neighboring “Nies” bay, Skopelos, Alonnisos and one hour from Skiathos island. Also is located near the Mythological Mountain of Pelion, home of the Centaurs, the monasteries of Meteora, classical Delphi and other archaeological sites in Magnesia and beyond.
Should be any damage to the property, must be paid before the departure.
