What makes this apartment unique

We believe that we are offering something that has been missing in Romagna: not average farm holiday accommodation, not uninspiring flats, but cozy apartments in historical villa in which the owners themselves reside, amid the charm of history , comfort and tradition.

Family management - Managing reservations, keys delivery, ceck-in and ceck-out run by Franco and his family who live in the main part of the villa and are always available for any question or information

True to its original character so tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean.

  • 5 of 5

If you are expecting modern and contemporary then this is not the place for you ! We however loved being here as it has been so tastefully decorated and furnished to show how it was originally. The apartment is spotlessly clean and is in a brilliant location for visiting Bologna, Modena, San Marino, Rimini, Ravenna and so many more stunning places. ALso remember to visit the surrounding area especially in the nearby hills and mountains they really are beatutiful and offer many wonderful walks. WOuld definitely recommend! THank you to Franco and his family

Wunderbare Woche in Dozza

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful retreat in the hills of Emilia Romagna

  • 5 of 5

It was a pleasure to stay in Villa Calanco, Appartment Natalia was perfect for us. The nearby small village Dozza is lovely, especially concerning regional food and excellent wines. Bologna, Imola, Ravenna, Ferrara are easy to reach for a day trip. Small villages in the mountains like Brisighella offer wonderful possibilities for easy hikes. The wonderful garden of Villa Calanco is a perfect place to finish off the day watching the sunset. It was an absolutely relaxing and enjoyable stay in Francos lovely restored villa. We will come back for sure!!!

Fantastic apartments and location.

  • 5 of 5

We were a group of 6, 3 couples stopping over for the World Super Bikes at Imola. Dozza is about 20 minute drive away from the circuit.

The apartments were very generous in size and had excellent facilities in each and WiFi throughout. The house grounds were great. There are beautiful views over the countryside from the hill we are on. We made use of the BBQ and large outside table. With the iPod playlist at a 'comfortable' volume on the system and the local wine flowing very easily, we all had a brilliant 3 nights here. We have already agreed to return in 2018 for the same event. Franco is very easy to deal with, his English is very good and made us very welcome.

Local supermarkets are very good and Dozza has enough going on in itself without the 15 minute drive to Imola.

Imola has some very good restaraunts too and is worth a few hours walking around the centre. We loved this place and it helped make this a very memorable trip.

Lovely country villa in lovely sorroundings

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful, cozy apartment in century-old country house near quaint little mediaeval Dozza, a stone's throw from Bologna. Spotless, comfortable, quiet. Franco, the owner, was very solicitous of our comfort. We hope to be back some day!

Dozza is situated on the crest of a hill gently down toward the Via Emilia between Bologna and Imola, Dozza looks like a touch of color, in an atmosphere outside of time. A medieval village which ancient structure is still well preserved. Dozza is famous for “The Biennal Painted Wall” during which the village becomes alive with artists coming from all over the world who paint directly on the walls of the houses. So the village, with its typical 'to zone' structure surrounded by city walls becomes a beautiful open air art gallery always visible. We also suggest to visit the wonderful and mighty fortress with the adjoining Enoteca Regionale Emilia Romagna, where it is possible to taste and buy the regional wines.

Dozza, is part of the club 'The Most Beautiful Villages in Italy', an association for promoting the great heritage of history, arts, culture, environment and traditions present in the small Italian towns which are ,by the most part, excluded from the flows of tourists.
