There is a fully equipped kitchen, renovated kitchen, central AC, washer-dryer, 50" TV, DVD and Blu-Ray in living room, and new TV's in every bedroom. Newer carpeting in upstairs and downstairs bedrooms as well as brand newer hardwood in the main living area; even new vanities in the bathrooms make this rental a must stay! The community is located on the Delaware Bay and is just a short drive or bike ride to beautiful Downtown Historic Lewes or State Henlopen State Park. Saturday to Saturday rental. Mini-week weekend rentals considered during off-season.

Great location near Cape Henlopen

Location is perfect for an active family wanting to take advantage of all that Cape Henlopen has to offer. We loved it. The townhouse was clean and well appointed.

Nice place and great area

This was a nice house, very clean and family friendly. Close to the beach, pool and tennis courts. The beach was only for homeowners in that area so it was not crowded. Lots of three generation families. It is on the bay so the water is generally calm. We could see the ferry coming and going. The house is three stories. You enter on the bottom level where there is one bedroom and a powder room. The second level has the eat-in kitchen, two sitting area and two porches. The third level has two bedrooms and two full baths. The area was great, nice little town, wonderful state park, lots of bike riding. BUT, this property is managed by a real estate company. The renter needs to go to Rehobeth to pick up and drop off the key. Although Rehobeth is only about 6 miles from Lewes, on Saturday it takes 30 - 45 minutes to get to the real estate office from Lewes. The traffic on Saturday on route 1 is terrible. The management company has different check-in and check-out times then VRBO. And there is a very lengthy contract to sign. Also, there are added fees to the "average night cost" that you see when you are looking at the VRBO listing. They add 3rd party fees, processing fees, VRBO fees, "convenience fees". They did tell me about all these fees before I agreed to book it, but I had spent a few hours choosing which VRBO to rent and I didn't want to start all over so I just paid it. Over all, we had a great vacation in a nice, clean house in a wonderful, family friendly area. But the key pick-up and drop-off is a pain and the added fees made it expensive.
