The home was originally built in 1943 and when we bought it 8 years ago we completely gutted the home and left the original oak floors because we liked the warm feeling and the occasional creaking. Bathroom and kitchen were completely redone and we added air conditioner units in living room and all bedrooms. The home also has a large swamp cooler on roof that we use more than the air conditioners since you can leave the windows and doors open and the swamp cooler blows in tons of cool air. You have the choice of using either system. Downstairs we have the laundry area and third bedroom/bathroom.
Lake Elsinore is a sediment lake (no river running into and out of lake) so we get our water from rainfall mostly. The water has a green tint but is safe for swimming, this green color comes from the natural algae in the water and is safe 99% of the time (for the first time since we have owned home in 2016 Lake Elsinore had unusually low water levels which heated the water to unusual levels and we had an algae bloom that lasted about a month and they didn't recommend swimming until the levels of algae had decreased). Since then we have got a ton of rain and the lake level has gone up by 9ft and they lake is quite healthy. The lake also has oxygen pumping stations all around lake to oxygenate the water keeping the lake healthy. The lake was stocked with Bluegill, Crappie, Largemouth Bass and Catfish this year.
