High quality sheets, plush towels, antique furniture, window treatments, and soft, upholstered furniture makes for a comfortable and cozy retreat.

Kitchen has all new matching stainless steel gas stove, dishwasher, over the range microwave, french door stainless steel refrigerator and dishwasher.Dishes, stainless steel cookware, utensils, toaster, wine glasses and coffee maker provided for your convenience. Original hardwood floors throughout, ceiling fans in all rooms, central heat and air, wireless internet, and new front loading washer and dryer in laundry room. Comfortable and Convenient!

Spent a week+ at this home in late March 2017. In the traditional New Orleans shotgun house style, the home is spacious and very comfortable. It is well appointed for the traveller that doesn't want to bring all the necessities of home with them. Located within walking distance (3-4 blocks) to both Audubon Park and St. Charles trolley as well as Tulane and Loyola. Quiet neighborhood despite being near the colleges. Off-street parking is helpful, although parking in the area is not as tight as other areas. Owner is very responsive although we had not specific issues while staying there. The house is a one side of a duplex and you can hear those walking in other unit - but it was not disruptive at any point. Back yard deck is nice feature! We'll be back!

A great Uptown New Orleans stay near Tulane

My wife and I stayed in this typical New Orleans "half shotgun" home for almost three weeks while she had work to do at Tulane. It was a nice place, on a quiet street in a pleasant Uptown/Carrollton neighborhood, just 3 blocks from Tulane and only a bit further from Audubon Park and the St. Charles streetcar line. (As a result, we didn't need a car at all the whole 3 weeks, once we got there from the airport.) The restaurants, music venues, and funky shops of Oak Street were within 10 minutes walk - also a bike shop, so we rented bikes for part of the time and explored Audubon Park, the levee, and the Uptown and St. Charles neighborhoods. The home itself was pleasant, well-kept, quiet, and comfortable - especially comfortable because we were there in late summer, when the temperature outside was consistently above 90, but the A/C in the home was excellent. The inside layout was great, in the linear style of New Orleans - opening to a comfortable and pleasant living room, then dining room, kitchen, then two bedrooms, and a full laundry at the back, opening onto the back yard. The arrangement assured that the bedrooms were peaceful, and we slept like rocks. We met the owner, who was very welcoming and helpful. All in all, a very agreeable and comfortable experience - we will go back next time we need to be in Uptown.

Cozy place in a great neighborhood

This is a great place to stay if you want to see the "real" New Orleans. Neighborhood is safe. House is easy walking distance to restaurants, bars and music venues on Maple and Oak Streets, as well as St. Charles streetcar lines and the universities. Short drive to Audubon Park, the "Fly" (place to walk along the river), Garden District, and more good restaurants than you can shake a stick at. Easy to drive to all the touristy stuff downtown, or just take the streetcar for $1.25.

The house itself is nice. Advantages include central air (this is extremely important!) and off street parking (for a small car, anyway). Backyard is nice, but to clarify, it is shared with the other half of the duplex. Also nice to have a real second bedroom rather than just a sofabed or whatever, so the place really does sleep 4 people comfortably. Also appreciated having Netflix on the BR TV, as well as getting the Times Picayune delivered.

The only complaint is that the living area could be a bit cleaner. Bedrooms, bathroom and kitchen were all clean and well stocked, but otherwise the cleaning crew could do better. Dust the living room, wash the windows, that sort of thing, and the house would look so much nicer. But seriously, we stayed for 10 nights and had a great time in NOLA.

Cute and Clean house

The house was exactly as shown in the pictures. It was in a good neighborhood can close to Tulane and other places to explore. It was very clean and Dee was great. She gave us good directions, the keys were easy to find, and she offered other suggestions. I would recommend it.
