Kiahuna Plantation is located on the sunny south shore of Kauai as the only beachfront resort of Poipu Beach. Each unit is privately owned and Unit 151 is ideally located among the 35 acres of tropically landscaped flowers and expansive lawns. The accommodating white sand beach, rated #1 in the world is footsteps away from your lanai back door. (Hawaii Tax ID# TA-003-322-2656-01)

Beachhouse 151 is a ground floor one-bedroom smoke-free unit sleeping up to 4 in a king bed and queen sofa bed. Recently fully remodeled interior provides an open, relaxed setting with privacy when needed. Our glass sliding doors to the lanai and lawn are wider than most and extra louvered windows add extra air ventilation. The unit has a fully appointed kitchen, WIFI, cable flat screen TV in living room and bedroom with DVD, CD and stereo. All linens are with exchanges every 3rd day.

On property are 2 restaurants, multiple barbeque grills throughout the premise and wide lawns for all sorts of games. A kiosk provides free beach chairs and towels, equipment rentals for boogie boards, snorkeling and concierge for island activity planning.

Renting from us allows you to know specifically what ideal location and setting you will have while receiving benefits of 24 hour services of Outrigger management on-site. This is our home we share with you!

About Mary Ann Nahmens

Jim and Mary Ann Nahmens live and work on the Peninsula of the SF Bay Area. Our now 17 yr. old son grew up on the Kiahuna beach and considers it his 2nd home. We have shared family reunions, college classmate reunions, multiple family vacations together and quiet, alone time there.

Kiahuna means 'special place' and this is so true! It quiets our busy minds and soothes the heart when we first arrive. The location of 151 enjoys the ocean breezes and sway of tropical trees and plants from the moment you walk in the door. We've had uncountable soccer, baseball and Frisbee pick up games just outside our back lanai door. We share extras with you such as boogie boards, cooler, beach umbrella to help you enjoy your stay.

I was thrilled to be able to return to 151 at the Kiahuna. It was my fifth visit but I had not been there in 6 years due to my husband's deteriorating health. It is so beautifully furnished and so comfortable and peaceful with a beautiful view onto the gardens. I hope very much I can go again in the future.

Lovely ground floor apartment

Our family of 4 had a lovely stay in the apartment and the kitchen is well stocked with equipment. Our only suggestion is to remove the water saving shower nozzle. Incredibly frustrating and doesn’t allow enough water to come out to wash sand from beach off. (We are presuming there are no water restrictions as the sprinklers water the lawns continuously.)

Spring break week!

We have stayed in this unit twice now. It's a great unit for 3 people, ground floor, which we love. The lanai is really pretty, walking right out onto the grass and beach area. The unit is small, so great for a couple. The hide-a-bed isn't the most comfortable, so 2 people would be ideal. Kiahuna is very quiet, so lower floor is not an issue with guests above. We have been in this unit twice now and never had any issues with noise. We had a great time! Thank you for a great week!

Great place for sunsets

Lovely property.

Suggestions- owner needs to obtain better knives. Very difficult to cut meat or fresh ahi with current knives. Also a new mattress cover for sofa bed is needed.

The most peaceful place to spend time....awesome!

So many things to do and most of it is close by. Our room was located perfectly with only a 1 or 2 minute walk to the beach thru the grass, nice quiet location with a nice view. Everything in the room is well maintained as well as everything outside, so well kept and clean. Can’t wait until our return next year.

Wonderful return to Kiahuna Plantation

This was our second stay in Unit 151 and it did not disappoint.

So much easier to pack for a trip when you are familiar with the lodging.

Location is good....within walking distance to the beach. We appreciate the ground floor access because of difficulty in walking. For cooks who like sharp knives....bring your own (or is it allowed in checked luggage?). The serrated knife set in the unit will macerate your food.
