Skiing and hiking trails are all a stone’s throw away from the house. Shawnee Peak is about 20 minutes away and has great skiing in the winter and challenging hiking trails in the summer. For easier trails Jockey Cap is also about 20 minutes away and is good for family hikes.

About Kimberly DeMello

My whole life we have always taken family vacations to ocean or to a lake. We grew up on the water and I've always wanted a house close the water. I made it a life goal (by a certain age I won't mention) to make this happen. I was one year over the age limit but I did it!!

My career has kept me out of the US for the last 7 years. I only get back a couple of times a year. During these times I want to spend as much as I can with my family. Part of the water front house goal was my whole family could enjoy it together. Now when I come home we head up to the Lake house and relax and enjoy being a family. We hang out on the dock, swim, hike, go for ice cream, make big family dinners, and sit on the deck at night and be silly.

The family is able to use the house when I'm not there. I have little nephews who love to swim, hike, and explore. They call it the pirate house because I have anchors all around the house.

All I can say is the house has a warm and positive vibe. You walk in and immediately feel like you are home.

Why Kimberly DeMello chose Harrison

In 2016 I found this house online while I was working in The Netherlands and asked my mom up to see if it was true to the pictures. She knew exactly what I was looking for so I trusted her opinion.

My mom called right away to say this was a good one. I decided sight unseen I would make an offer. The rest is history. The first time I walked into the house I fell in love. It was perfect for our family. We have loved every minute of having the lake house. We hope you make some wonderful memories here.

What makes this house unique

There is a large deck of the main level of house that we use for all the main entertainment. The house is so bright and warm it just invites you to let the stress go. The house is up a hill so it has nice views of the lake and the mountains. The lake is across the street and we have a bunk house and dock on our private property. It is easy to get in and out of.

It is also a 4 season home so come up for some skiing, snowmobiling and the great ice fishing derby in February!! The giant fireplace in the living room will keep you nice and warm!

Very nice place

  • 4 of 5

Very nice home with great views. Boat house was very convenient with us ice fishing. Able to not lug our stuff every where and a chance to warm up a was very slow...oh well. Property was clean and well stocked. Only complaint that I had was the driveway. Steep hill that was not treated properly, if you don't have 4x4 not getting up. Nearly had an accident with one vehicle in our group.

Great location

  • 3 of 5

Great location and communication . But not providing linens and towels is really a pain when traveling from out of town. Wasn't as clean as we would have expected when we arrived.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the review. I'm sorry to hear about the cleanliness. I will look into this. In the future if you would like to come back we have linens for rent so you don't have to travel with them.
