About Tricia Nelson

My husband and I spend our time between Palm Coast, FL and Cape Cod, MA. We are lucky enough to be able to enjoy the best of the east coast...!

Why Tricia Nelson chose Palm Coast

We fell in love with this cottage and hope to make it our own winter get-a-way in the future. Being able to wake up and take a walk to the beach first morning light sounds wonderful. In the meantime, we hope our guests get to enjoy it..!

What makes this cottage unique

We believe the location is historic St Augustine and Daytona Beach. Being able to walk to the beach is a plus, too!

Great Vacation Spot

  • 5 of 5

This is a fabulous cottage to stay at. Lots of amenities and the comforts of home. If you are interested in making a meal there was all sorts of spices you could have encountered that task at ease. The porch area is fantastic especially during a typical rain storm in Florida. You are minutes from the beach and the neighbors in the area are super friendly. I was thrilled that I could travel with my 2 dogs and that this is a pet friendly cottage. My dogs loved the backyard and they quickly took to this cottage being their home to. Tricia provided poop bags to for use--great if you run out, I always travel with them but if you forget your packing it, not to worry. If you want a quiet relaxing vacation that is just a short walk to to a quiet beach that literally feels like your own private beach this is a wonderful place to stay in. You are also minutes from restaurants, grocery store and next time I go I definitely want to visit Marineland. Great place and I didn't encounter any issues whatsoever.

Cozy cottage near beach big dog friendly

  • 5 of 5

Loved the 2/2 cottage. Casual with fenced yard for a large dog and short walk to the beach. Everything you need is there and screened room is so great for a relaxing coffee or drink. This cottage is off the beaten path and quite. Clean and quaint. Loved it.

Cute little beach cottage

  • 4 of 5

Cottage is very cute, comfortable and well stocked. We really enjoyed our stay at Johnson beach. Great location if driving or bike riding, a bit far for walking with more than a towel. It is a bit dated and could use the grass mowed to keep down bugs

Owner's Response: Hi Linda.... Thank you for leaving a review. It is always appreciated. I would like to address the issue of mowing and bugs. Since that area has had nothing but rain for weeks on end, bugs will come out no matter where you are. It is Florida. Also, mowing is impossible when the ground is so wet. I apologize for the lack of mowing, but mother nature is to blame for that. I'm sure our lawn person is checking constantly as to when she can safely mow. Thank you for staying. Tricia

Enjoyable

  • 4 of 5

NOT a Beach Cottage! Each day we wound up at Matanza's Inlet instead.

The immediate location looked somewhat dispiriting due to hurricane damage still very visible. Trailer Park milieu.

The house was solid, comfortable and well stocked. The porch was lovely, even in the rain.

A decent toaster would have been appreciated.

Highly appreciated "pet friendly" condition.

Owner responsive and helpful.

Great access to beach, nice little home away from home, great for dog parents!

  • 5 of 5

It’s in a very private location despite that there are close neighbors, which is nice! Loved the fenced in yard for our pup, and the close access to the ocean, a very short walk. Place was very kept up and clean and they had everything there that we needed, didn’t have to go to the store for anything. Will likely rebook for next spring!

Quiet but Wet

  • 4 of 5

After three out of six days of rain, sun finally shone! But, sitting on the enclosed porch reading, listening to rain, relaxing, it was an enjoyable vacation.
