About Karl & Carrie Baum - owner

We are from Appleton, Wisconsin; born and raised. Appleton is about 30mins south of green bay - go packers! :) and we are approximately 1.5 hrs north of Milwaukee. We work in the medical field and enjoy life in the Midwest. We love to travel and Marco island is one of our favorite destinations. We consider it home. We have two kids, more so teenagers, who share the love of the island as much as we do.

Why Karl & Carrie Baum - owner chose Marco Island

Marco Island is a second home to us. We grew up vacationing here and specifically the Mariner complex. The Island has special meaning and many fabulous memories, from many Easters at the Marco Marriot to Tin City in Naples. We even got married on Marco! When this property became available it was a no-brainer to buy. We want to continue to keep Marco Island as a special part of our lives and our children's lives.

What makes this condo unique

There is nothing better than sitting on the lanai, over looking the pool, drinking your coffee in the morning. The vaulted ceilings were key for us as well as the location. Can not say enough about the location. You can easily walk down Collier Blvd and find a restaurant, bar and shops. The Resident's Beach is right across the street for easy access (Pass required). Tigertail Beach and Marco Island Beach, south entrance, are no more than a mile away. The aromatic smells of the flowers and the ocean air, especially in the quiet mornings, and the gorgeous sunsets in the evening are just a few more reasons we love the Island and wanted to be a permanent part of it.

Condo was in a great location,short walk to beach and restaurants with many to choose from.Was fully equipped and also supplied all beach accesories.Nice to sit out at lanai with view of pool.The condo establishment was well maintained.Owners were very informative and answered any questions..Would return to this condo,still lots to explore.

Wonderful place

This condo has it all - comfortable furniture, plentiful linens, well supplied kitchen, washer/dryer, convenient location, beautiful view of pool and sunset from lanai, friendly community, beach & pool accessories, and responsive owners. We will definitely be back!

Our stay included a wonderful airboat ride in Everglades City (Speedy's), Sunday concerts in the park (Mackle), Wednesday Farmer's Market, shell collecting on the beautiful beach, art show at the island Art League, working out at the local Y, Zumba at Mackle Park, fishing on the Miss Louise (3 times), letterboxing in Sanibel and Naples, and walking the island to view the beautiful homes. This year we even saw some of the burrowing owls out of their nests. There are many programs available at Rookery Bay for nature lovers.

Marco Island retreat from the snow

Condo has very friendly community. Condo is very nice and the two bedrooms are quite private. Kitchen has everything you need. Pool was lovely and the grounds are well maintained. Felt very secure.
