Don't let the 2 bedroom tag fool you...this sweet cottage with an open floor plan and living area is spacious and allows for comfortable lounging while watching HUGE flat screen tv. Wifi, cable, and movie channels are included, and the home has WASHER/DRYER for your convenience.

The home also features an updated kitchen with stainless steel appliances, granite counter-tops, solid wood cabinets, breakfast bar, microwave, and pantry. It is fully stocked and ready to be used to create wonderful meals during your stay.

When the sand and salt become too much, and quiet spot for reading is needed, there is a clean and well-kept COMMUNITY POOL just down the street with keyed access for renters.

For those ready to enjoy the outdoors, there is a firepit and gas grill for outdoor cooking and entertainment. There is also an affordable bike and beach gear facility next door. One fabulous feature of this area is the 20 miles of biking/walking paths along all of highway 30-A and in more tucked-away off-road trails.

The home is located walking distance from great local shopping and dining. Public BEACH ACCESS IS SOOO CLOSE - just across Hwy 30-A. The beaches in this area of Florida can't be beat! We are in close proximity to many lovely communities with additional shopping and dining opportunities like Seaside (Just voted #1 Family beach in the world by Travel and Leisure Magazine), Watercolor, Rosemary Beach, and Grayton Beach only a bike ride away.

About Donna Fargason

Our family has been traveling to this area of Florida for years and years. When we saw this place for sale this past fall, we had to snatch it up. It is so close to everything we love to do, and the beach access can't be beat short of being on the beach itself.

Why Donna Fargason chose Seagrove Beach

This property appealed to us because of it's location in wonderful Seagrove Beach, and its proximity to Seaside, Watercolor, and Rosemary Beach. The dining and shopping in the area can't be beat!! The neighborhood Gulf Mist is on a cul de sac and is occupied mostly by owners. It is well-maintained and monitored by people who know the area and care about the upkeep and reputation of the neighborhood.

What makes this house unique

This home also has a balcony upstairs and comfortable seating downstairs that allows one to enjoy the evening sunset and breeze. The firepit and courtyard are perfect for entertaining. There is also a garage and plenty of parking.

Great Vacation House

The Beach is right across the street, and its beautiful and not crowded. Seaside ( cool resort area) is a short bike ride away. The house is beautiful, and very clean, we hung out on the back patio at night& had the fire going. Hope to be back next year. My whole family was impressed with Sandy Pause.

Really lovely place with a responsive and helpful owner

Sandy Pause is everything it is billed to be, and even more. The location is terrific, just across the road from the beach and about a mile walk into the lovely little resort town of seagrove beach, which is filled with boutiques and restaurants. Donna was helpful with every detail, and was immediately responsive to all communications. The kitchen is exceptionally well appointed, and the open floor plan feels warm and is attractive. We loved this place and can't wait to come back.

Really enjoyed our stay - highly recommend

We stayed for 9 nights at this home and really enjoyed our stay. The home is spacious and very comfortable. It was very clean and the owners had little gifts waiting for us when we arrived. It is dog friendly and located on a court, so it was a nice place to walk our dogs at morning and night.

The living/dining area is very large with plenty of comfortable seating and a very nice TV with lots of channels. The house has one bedroom downstairs and a large bath (tub/shower combination) and a very large master bedroom and bath upstairs. The master bedroom upstairs has a separate tub and shower. The shower is small but had good water pressure and water was hot. The balcony off of the master bedroom was extremely spacious and a wonderful place to sit out and relax. The stairs leading up to the master do not have a landing, but the stairs do have carpet on them so they were not slippery. The fenced in back area was also a nice place to sit out and a great place to be able to have our dogs off leash.

The only negative thing about our stay, which was not the owners' fault, is that there was commercial trash pick up right across the street at 5 a.m. on Saturday mornings which woke us up.

We loved this location. It is right across the street from the beach and beach access is very close. It is between Seaside and Rosemary Beach so we did not have to travel far to enjoy all of the little beach towns along 30A and it took only 5 minutes to get to Publix.

The owners were very responsive before our arrival and after our arrival and they made themselves very accessible during our stay if we had any questions or concerns.

We enjoyed our stay very much and highly recommend this home!

It's not always the case, but tends to be so during busy times because there are so many people in the area with lots of vacation trash. Plus I'm guessing that they're trying to get their big trucks out of the way before people start moving around the 2 lane hwy 30A. The highway can get clogged at times with vacationers and construction and would be even worse if garbage trucks were in the mix mid-morning. I'd bet that all homes in the area are subject to the same situation.

Perfect for our family

The location is great if you do not mind walking across 30-A to the beach. It is a short bike ride into Seaside for shopping, lunch or dinner, and people watching. The house is comfortable and the owners communicated well in advance of our reservation. Our family, which includes our dog, will definitely stay at Sandy Pause again! Zero complaints!

Wonderful stay at Sandy Pause!

This house is WONDERFUL! It has a very open layout with a lot of room for a two bedroom home. The décor is beautiful and welcoming with everything you would need for a beach vacation. The kitchen is well stocked and everything was immaculate - no dust, no dirt - not even any sand! :-) The owner responds quickly to any and all questions - I would have no hesitation in referring to friends - in fact, I already have!

Felt just like home!

Our family of 5 (including our 4-legged fur child) absolutely loved staying at Sandy Pause! The entire process from booking, communicating with Donna, check-in, our stay and then our departure couldn't have been easier. Sandy Pause is right across the street from the beach and is in a quiet neighborhood. The house came with so many amenities it felt like we were at our own home because we have everything we needed and more! We loved hanging out on the many patios and also the fenced in backyard was perfect. The location is very central and easy to get to all the best restaurants and shops. Our family loved Sandy Pause so much we're already talking about booking our trip back! Thanks for everything, Donna!

Seagrove (address listed as Santa Rosa Beach due to its unincorporated status) is a step back in time. While neighboring areas have become crowded and over-developed, Seagrove encompasses the very unique and lovely Seagrove Beach Community located in Walton County, Florida, in the state's panhandle. It boasts more than 60 public access beaches, as well as a number of beaches located in state parks, including Grayton Beach and Blue Mountain Beach.

Eden Gardens State Park features a 19th-century-style house set amidst beautiful moss-covered oak trees. The renovated home is a showcase for the second largest collection of Louis XIV furniture in the U.S. and offers a great glimpse into the country's past.

In addition to lounging on the beach and hiking in the parks, you can rent bikes to peruse the shops, go golfing or fishing, play tennis, and go on a guided tour. Horseback riding is available at several places in the area.

After you have spent the morning or afternoon at the beach you'll want to try one of the great local restaurants, and there are numerous casual dining options, including Pickles Beachside Eatery, Louis Louis, Red Bar, Cafe 30-A, Bud & Alley's, and the Donut Hole Bakery Cafe.

For those more interested in shopping, visit Magnolia House for its jewelry, handcrafted rugs and original artwork, Mystic Porte, which is home to a variety of unique shops, Seaside and Watercolor boutiques, and the Shops of Grayton, which specializes in fine art and gifts. Silver Sands Outlet Mall is a only a short drive to Sandestin, and offers hi-end shops such as Coach, Michael Kors, Saks Off-5th, Banana Republic, J. Crew, Brooks Brothers, and more. Nearby Panama City Beach's Pier Park is a mega outdoor shopping mall consisting of over a million square feet of specialty shops and restaurants plus a 16 cinema Grand Theater.

In Seagrove, look no further than Gulf Place. This shopping and dining village is located right across from the public access beach, Ed Walline Park, and features a great selection of clothing, surfing accessories and home décor items. And for a bit of extra pampering after a long day of shopping and beachside fun, there is also a lovely day spa.
